[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great waffle maker.  Cooks evenly and waffles have nice deep pockets. My favorite feature is the removable plates for putting in the dishwasher.  My only regret is that I wish I had bought some thing like this 20 years ago.

I absolutely love it.. it makes the biggest and best waffles. Other waffle makers I have tried only make small ones but this one makes HUGE waffles. It was easy to set up and use. I would highly recommend this waffle maker to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Simple nonstick waffle maker that does what it's supposed to do! I like my waffles very crispy so I left mine in until the machine stopped steaming. I let it heat up for 10 minutes before I put in the batter so that it would be crispy.

The Oster Belgian Waffle Maker with Removable Plates is really nice! This waffle maker is very easy to set up, it's easy to use, and it works well. The instructions for this waffle maker are very straightforward and simple. The plates easily eject from the waffle maker for either hand washing or placing in the dishwasher. Then they easily pop back into place. Once washed and the plates are back in place you plug it in and wait. There will be a red light indicating that it's heating up. Then the green light will come on, and you're ready to make waffles. You spray oil on the plates and then you can place whichever batter you'd like on the lower plates and then you shut the lid. The time is dependent upon the thickness and there really aren't any further timed instructions in the manual so I just followed a recipe online and used their times. Once you're done, you just unplug the waffle maker from the wall and let it cool down.

There is definitely a strong smell, the first few times you heat up the waffle maker, like the instructions indicate, but I didn't experience any smoke.
This waffle maker is made with a PFOA free non-stick coating and it performs extremely well. You can't use hard utensils on it just like other non-stick coatings but it makes making waffles easy and the cleanup is fast. You can easily wipe off the non-stick coating which is nice but with the removable plates it makes cleaning up any extra oil even easier.

The waffles that this machine makes are great! They make up fast and they are shaped nicely and cooked evenly.

I really like the size and look of this waffle maker. It's compact, yet it makes a nice size Belgian waffles. The stainless-steel exterior makes it match so nicely with my kitchen too.

All in all, this is a really nice waffle maker. This waffle maker is easy to set up, it's easy to use, it works well, the non-stick coating is great, the plates are removable for easy cleaning, and it looks nice! I would absolutely recommend it!

Easy to use!

Got this for my mom for Christmas bit returned it because my uncle had gotten her the same thing. The waffle maker cooks good waffles but has so many crevices that it is SO HARD to clean.

Cooks great but hard to clean.

I do like it but there was no instructions on how much batter to use. So I just had to keep making messes till I figured it out. Also, they don't ever come out crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside. They're always soft like they were steamed, and if I leave it for longer to get some kind of crisp, it will be dried out and hard. It's good enough for my littles. I found out it is exactly 1 cup of batter poured in the center that will give you 4 full waffles.

Decent

Overall the waffle maker made waffles as expected. The steam created in the process fogged up the indicator lights though. I'm not sure if that will cause a problem in the future.

Design Flaw?

I really do like this waffle maker. The only problem I have is that it is extremely messy! You have to truly “fill” the compartments to get a nice thick waffle, but when you do it just spills out of the sides a LOT! I learned to put down foil underneath and I roll up the edges of the foil so that the spilled batter stays contained.  That is enough to keep the inevitable mess contained.  But the timing and all around function is truly great!

Cooks Great, but messy

This is a horrible waffle maker. I thought there might be a ‘breaking in' period so I made 6 batches hoping the waffles would get better.  Nope, they would not brown or crisp up even when I extended the cooking time to 7 minutes….which is a ridiculous amount of time. These waffles had a texture more like pancakes.  I'm returning this item immediately.

One tiny spill over the side, and you've got batter in every crack and crevice. It's impossible to clean it out. The removal plates are great, except that when you spill the batter over, it goes in the actual appliance..

Not user-friendly at all!
