REALLY fast.
I mean wow almost fell on butt a few times. I got used to about 5 min in because I have many years of experience riding skateboards and long-boards. I would not recommend this for your young ones as it accelerates and decelerates almost too fast IMO. It is of the quality you would expect for the price definitely NOT cheap but also not a boosted(the ones you keep seeing commercials for costing over $1,000). As you can see in attached pictures it is packaged nicely and comes with all you need even a skate tool(RADICAL DEWD). The reason I am not rating 5 star is nothing to do with quality or poor function of the board itself but rather the instruction booklet and no progress indication while charging. The instructions are in poor and broken English, also somewhat incomplete. Like it does not say that the battery indicators will be on while charging so you might think its not charging. It is but you have to keep monitoring it. Also I am not sure if there is danger of overcharging the battery and possible causing a fire like with li-po batteries. **Just read that it is possible to overcharge li-ion batteries not sure if there is any prevention of such built in to the charger. I think I might try and find and install a more accurate battery charge display showing percentage if such a thing exists.All in all I am happy with the purchase and would consider changing the rating if the manufacture would improve their instruction booklet. Definitely recommended as a starter or entry level electric board for those that like to go fast but not for young ones unless they are already experienced with electric boards. Feel free to post any questions you may have if you are considering purchasing. ****Also note that the other reviews post have a different looking board not sure why this is.

I bought this along with a Gonex longboard so read that review as well.
This board came ready to go so happy - wheels, bearings, trucks, deck and grip with graphics makes this a fun board for me to instantly go out and practice. I am new to skateboards at 64 and was using my sons old boards until I went out and got a decent board from a decent company not from Amazon mind you and wanted to expand my experiences so that is what led me to Hiboy and the Gonex...89 bucks for the pair and the Hiboy crushed it the Gonex not so much.
Cannot rate higher for beginners cuz I am one lol so right in the middle. The board is fine for my noobness and it rolls fantastically ( better than my first one lol, though i think my son slowed it down so I would not crush my face in the garage lol)
Anyway the Hiboy for my 10.5 shoes is wide enough and the trucks out of the box were fine as I tried to rock into fakey into a fail but yeah it is fun I feel competent enough to know how much better components will feel sometime in the future.
If you are learning this is a nice change to what you maybe on now as it was for me, the wheels are 53 and hard so skate parks are fine. I am learning a lot on this board so newbies take heed if you are confused you wont go completely off the rails if you made this a very early skateboard purchase. ( hahahha i just made newbie skate joke I am such a boomer dad please forgive lol

Great purchase if you want to be able to cruise around town but don’t want your kid going 25mph! Replacement controller when they lost it was $30 and also works great.

Only had it 3 days but we’ve been all over town. Trucks were a little tight - easy to loosen. Wheels are hard so you feel all the bumps, but it goes over even the big ones better than I was expecting. My 12yo has probably logged 10 miles already. Hasn’t run out of juice in the 3 to 5-mile jaunts. Not a ton of power up hill, doesn’t go crazy fast (that’s a bonus if you ask me as a mom) still loads of fun. I got the 2 year warranty, so figure we’re covered.

Additional update (3/11/22): Hiboy recently reached back out to me again. This time offering to send me a new board (@ no cost to me). I took them up on that offer and it just arrived. It's snowy here, so I have not yet ridden the board, but the original one was really fun for me and my kids - Good speed. Handled hills well. Great to learn on. I'm looking forward to riding this one too. Happy that Hiboy has made a new commitment to customer satisfaction and standing by their product.

Update: Hiboy customer service responded quickly after I posted this review. Instead of providing a new board, they provide a new set of wheels. I think a lot of people would be happy with this. I personally am busy, so I have not yet (6 months later) taken the time to sit down and figure out how to remove the old ones and replace them with the new ones... I'm confident that if I did that, it would solve the problem. So basically, Hiboy did something here. Maybe 2022 is the year I replace it and get to ride the board again.... ugh.

When I got this, I initially really liked it. It was higher than my other electric skateboard, which gives a fun ride.

However, within less than a handful of rides, one of the wheels started making a grating noise, and the board could no longer go at full speed.

All of the riding was done on paved surface, so this was not a case of any misuse of the product.

I attempted to reach out to Amazon for a resolution - but was told that because it had passed the return window, Amazon could not help and I had to reach out to the manufacturer for assistance with their return policy. I did this - several weeks later, I have still not heard a thing back from them. I've emailed them again, but still nothing.

While this is not an expensive board in comparison to some other electric skateboards, it is a VERY expensive purchase to only work for 4-5 rides before breaking and becoming useless.

DO NOT BUY!!!!

I’ve skateboarded most of my life, so this should’ve been my first choice…it only took a few days with the scooter before I decided to go with this. This was my first electric board. The best thing about this board is the weight. The weight to power to price ratio is what makes this stand out. I've had this about 3 months. Mostly city street riding. I weighed about 205lbs when I bought it and am currently around 185lbs. No problems hauling me around at 205. Speed and range specs are accurate. The better your traditional skateboard mechanics are (kicking, stopping, cornering), the more you can get out of this.

I just ordered a Meepo mini 2 because I wanted something with more torque and faster acceleration but if you are good at kicking you can get a ton out of the S11.
