Speakers are good, though a bit hairy. My 6 yr old Acer Aspire ($700 when I bought it) has pretty considerably better speakers (Dolby Digital Home Theater), though they have been the best I have heard on any laptop by a country mile. The speakers on this HP I would consider well above average, but the clipping I hear on anything above 40 or so is annoying to me since I'm used to the Acer's.
The build quality is excellent. The screen is maybe a bit wobbly compared to my old Acer's but I didn't notice it until I pushed it (and I use my laptop on my lap generally) so I can't imagine that would be an issue for anybody unless they are fishing for things to be annoyed about.
It is surprisingly heavy and thinker than I imagined, both more so than my Acer's, but I much prefer a metal body construction (this one is aluminum) for heat dissipation so that will naturally come with the territory. It is not uncomfortably heavy, however, just a this thing feels expensive kind of heavy.
The power block gets I would say ~30 degrees Fahrenheit hotter than my Acer's and bigger (though still a standard size, about 6'' x 3'' x 3/4'' eye balling it}), but the Acer is an ultrabook and is much less powerful, so that isn't very surprising.
The screen is 4k so enough said there.
Keyboard feels great and is backlight, offering 2 brightness settings which is nice.
I must mention that the graphics chips are an intel UHD 630 default (for efficiency) and a GTX 1650 [Max-Q], not a 1650 Mobile which is ~20% more powerful.
Also, this laptop does NOT come with a 64 GB flashdrive as advertised. It does have a nice faux leather carrying sleeve though, which is not shown. It also does come with the pen (battery included). It comes with Windows 10 Home preinstalled and a 10 Pro key on the box which I used to upgrade, but honestly there is not point unless this is going to be a work computer. There is probably a small performance degrade with Pro so I should have just left it with Home instead.
The body is a matte finish and feels comfortable and robust.
Had a question for the seller and the responded very promptly and courteously so no problems there.
Overall, pretty great, don't regret the purchase.
Even Hp support cant help resolve these issues, all they say is update drivers. That changes nothing.
In Summation, it just looks fancy but is a fine piece of trash. A laptop half its price is very much worth it.

Even Hp support cant help resolve these issues, all they say is update drivers. That changes nothing.
In Summation, it just looks fancy but is a fine piece of trash. A laptop half its price is very much worth it.
This machine is quite a bit heavier than I expected, and shockingly is larger and heavier than a significant number of proper gaming laptops with much beefier GPUs (i.e. RTX 2070s). At the same time, it does not have the cooling that these gaming laptops have and heavily throttles under any sort of load (i.e. CPU will drop to 2.6GHz in under a minute even in a cool room). It's also missing a lot of little niceties from the Thinkpad like the Trackpoint mouse (with middle mouse button) and adaptive brightness.
The GPU is also a bit weak for this size of a laptop. It's not a bad GPU, but it's something that should have been in a high end 13"/14" laptop, not a 15" chassis.
That said, this is still a nice laptop (and has surprisingly decent specs for the money), but ultimately it sacrifices too much in the way of cooling, ports (only 1 USB A port), and upgradeability (the only thing that's user upgradeable is the SSD, and that involves dealing with some adhesives) for my tastes. As much as I like the 2-in-1 form factor, this particular machine is in an awkward spot of being larger, heavier and slower than many gaming laptops, and too large and heavy to be a good 2-in-1.
