small and light weight this it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I wanted to travel with something that was light weight and small. OK so video looks good you can change the compression so you can get more or less footage on the card. I used 1080P and it looks fine..it also will do stills and some other slow mo and time lapse which can make for some interesting variations. battery life was fine recharged at the end of the day but if you don't use it all day you could get a few days out of it. I would recommend the adapter kit it will help with pan and tilt...down side you can't zoom. if you like to blog and do close up this is for you...

First Air, now Ground....total coverage.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned a DJI Mavic Pro for over two years and enjoy the aerial perspective of looking at different things. The three axis gimbal is rock steady under windy conditions, and I had hoped that they would make a hand held version. This is it. The size alone makes it a constant companion, and 4K60 is better than the drone. The different settings allow for time lapse, motion lapse, slomo, and pano without any skills from the operator. The 1" screen is surprisingly useful, but hooked up to a phone or tablet opens up a new world of settings and pro level recordings. This unit has more capability than I will ever use. DJI has provided two firmware updates since I've had it that expand the cameras abilities even further. I'm quite pleased with the Osmo Pocket and it's now my go to camera for all my surface work.

OSMO POCKET
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent gimbal camera. Small and easy to use. Highly recommended. Suggest buying a mount bracket extension that can mount on a tripod, also allows wrist strap mounting and makes easier to place on a table for panoramic shots.

Super small, enormous fun!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the amount of tech dji put in this tiny handheld camera is just mind blowing. I’ve been using it now for about 5 weeks and WOW it’s just amazing!!! This little guy has invented a category of cameras of its own kind lol. I mean you use to have to use at least 2 devices sometimes 3 to do what it does on its own. The 3 axis gimbal is almost flawless, yes some limitation but not much. With that being said it’s not an action cam so you do have to be somewhat careful/mindiful and aware. I have yet to tap in the capability of this camera but find myself getting creative every time I use it. Also accessories I just acquired are gonna make it even more fun. Defiantly worth the $300 in my opinion!! Mic is a little choppy so sound is not the greatest or would’ve been 5star review. Probably the upgrade for Osmo Pocket 2 lol?!?!

This is a very good camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have this camera and an action camera and I get better detail in my videos from my Osmo Pocket. I understand that the action camera is used more for riding bikes, skate boards etc. but I walk and record the view, I am not a v-blogger and I use drones also. I recorded a wedding with this and was impressed with the quality as I kept the camera out of the way of others and still got great footage. When I recorded a local pond with geese the action camera I have didn't get enough detail compared to the Osmo Pocket. I under stand from reviews how action camera are much better with a wider field of view but from experience I prefer the Osmo.

Awesome for casual and candid videos!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quite surprised how good and easy to use this is. Very handy for a dad like me who wants to record special moments of the fam on a whim. Also added a Polar Pro tripod cage and gimbal lock to make it much easier to carry around and take out on the go.

Fantastic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This can be an amazing camera, but depends on your needs. If you need stable footage on the fly, this is a must have in your camera bag. It is small, affordable, fast setup and the footage is great. It lacks a little bit in dynamic range and low light performance. Other than that it's fantastic. I have done a review on my channel you can check it out here: https://youtu.be/UEgzYHIh0Zk

Q: QuestionDoes this take good quality photos? I know videos are great 4K and 1080 but how bout the photos?
Asked by Candice.
- A:Answer If you intend on doing more video than photography, this is a good choice. Excellent 4k 60 fps for slo-mo work; GoPro does 4k@30 only if I'm not mistaken. I think this has better stabilization built-in when you consider the gimbal adjustments available to go with it without accessories. This is designed to compete with the GoPro 7 which is $50 more. And both devices take excellent still shots which matches their video excellence. If you're more interested in photography (most point-and-shoot cameras these days do video, too), you can get great shots and decent video, though the video probably won't be as good or stable as either of these two units. The gimbal on the Osmo Pocket sets it apart from the GoPro7. You can add $100's of dollars to add one to your GoPro; the Osmo has that excellent technology built in! I really don't think you could go wrong with either except for the gimbal thing. Your choice: Am I going to do more photography than video? The Pocket's gimbal adds nothing to photography and you have a mechanism that is probably more destructible by its very nature of motorization. But if you're a videographer that takes some pics, no contest. But remember this is a "Pocket." The case provided shields the gimbal in your pocket. Want a quick video, 5 seconds boot up, gimbal set, you're ready to shoot!

Q: QuestionGot a question looking to get one to take videos of my family to save for memories and watch once my son gets older. For vacation and other stuff wondering if it's worth getting.
Asked by Adash.
- A:Answer THE MAIN REASON I GOT THE POCKET WAS THE CONVENIENCE OF PULLING IT OUT, START SHOOTING AND HAVING NO EXTRAS LIKE CASES. BATTERIES TO CARRY AROUND. JUST STICK IT IN YOUR POCKET AND GO. I THINK THIS OR A MOBILE PHONE GIMBAL (ex. OSMO MOBILE 2 GIMBAL) WOULD BE GOOD FOR WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING TO DO. JUST TYPE IN GIMBALS TO LOOK FOR SOMEOTHERS. I WANTED TO TRY THIS BECAUSE OF THE CONVENIENCE OF CARRYING IT. ITS LIKE THE CONVENIENCE OF IPHONE VS. DSLR. SOMETHING LIKE THE OSMO MOBILE 2 WOULD BE A LOT CHEAPER. CHECK THE PROS AND CONS ON SETTING UP AND EASE OF USE. THEY DO A LOT OF THE SAME THINGS. ALSO SOME OF THEM HAVE FEATURES THAT DON"T WORK WITH ANDROID.

Q: QuestionI know the camera is a handheld, but can it be attached to a tripod?

Q: Questionis there a built in moniter screen or do I need to attach a phone? also is there an option to control through a phone? from what distance?
Asked by thejakester.

Q: QuestionThe discreption said it comes with a simple carry case. Does that mean it comes with the original carry case as seen at the dji website? Thank you
Asked by Ricky.
- A:Answer It comes with the stock hard protector case that comes in the box, not a different or third party case.

Q: QuestionCan it be used to live stream? If I attach my phone to it, the phone will be doing the streaming, and use the Osmo's camera?
Asked by Shadow.
- A:Answer Only way it shows other than a removable sd card is it automatically opens and uses the DJI Mimo app. possible firmware upgrade in the future may allow this.
