T-rex inflatable dinosaur costume purchased from another Amazon retailer that was advertised for adults but would only fit children. Returned it and purchased this 'Spinosaurus' design from this company and am THRILLED with it! First off, it actually FITS! I am an adult male, 5'9" and a hefty 250lbs. and (with minimal maneuvering) was able to squeeze into this suit comfortably. I read previous reviews where others stated the inflation fan didn't have enough power to fully inflate the dinosaur (specifically the head), but I guess the manufacturer listened to the complaints and updated the suit with a stronger higher quality fan as I found the suit inflates fully and perfectly. (I, however, bought a back up fan just in case). The colors on this suit are vivid and the design is exceptional. The head, tail and back 'spine spikes' all inflate beautifully. I find it's best to put your feet in first, then one arm (leaving the other arm temporarily free inside to turn on the fan before pushing it back out into the remaining dinosaur arm)...then as the suit inflates with a little air, I enclose my head fully in the suit zipping it closed to get a tight enough seal for the dinosaur to inflate to full capacity. There are little 'claw gloves' you can slip on your hands to complete the effect. The dinosaurs feet are open for wearing shoes, but the dinosaur also has 'feet flaps' that drape over the top of your feet. Cool outdoor Halloween weather makes this suit comfy to wear, but wearing this outdoors in the summer (or in a warm environment indoors) is kinda like being in a sauna! Wearing a 'neck fan' makes it a little bit more tolerable. The 'dino suit fan' itself attaches directly to the suit itself and is powered by a regular battery pack (included) via a USB cable, but the cable can also be connected to one of those cel phone power bank chargers. (Optional--purchased separately)
(The manufacturer recommends this for longer more dependable power and i opted to take this suggestion). Whatever power source you choose to use, they both can fit in your pocket or into a fannypack if you like wearing them. Once fully inflated the seemingly claustrophobic suit actually becomes quite roomy. You are only limited by your imagination with this. (In the future i hope to rig lightweight battery powered led lights in the eyes, mouth and back spikes for an "illuminated imitation Godzilla effect". But in the meantime I have figured out a way to give my dinosaur an 'authentic roar'. I purchased from Amazon one of those small novelty battery powered 'sound boxes' (the type used in children's teddy bears to record personal greetings, birthday messages, etc.) You can load MP3 sound files on these, and play this audio with the touch of a button. I found 'dinosaur roars' on youtube--downloaded the audio and converted it to MP3 files to load onto this device. The device is small enough to fit in my palm and I just hold it in my hand inside the 'dinosaur glove claw' and press the button to make my dinosaur ROAR like the one's in 'Jurassic Park'! Lot's of fun with this high quality suit that I highly recommend. Wear it as is--or augment/customize it for a unique personalized suit!
