This is a great anthology with short stories to get you warmed up. Some are teases while others are just short stories that leave you wanting more. Willow Winters was one that left me wanting more. It seemed as though it finished midstory and we don’t really get a resolution. It’s more of a tease. Now I’m hoping we get Gage and Sharon’s story. Livia Grant’s Shaken was amazing and steamy and intriguing. I totally didn’t see that twist at the end coming but I loved it. It only left me wanting more though. I need more Laine and Jacob. Overall I couldn’t get enough and now I want more of these authors.

A wonderful mix of authors in this charity anthology, I'm looking forward to reading more....... Shaken is a sweet, sexy story from Livia Grant. A bit different from her usual style but I really enjoyed this short story. Jacob and Lanie get trapped in the elevator when an earthquake hits and despite the scariness of the situation, Lanie's terrible day gets a whole lot better the longer they are stuck together and the more they get to know one another. There was a great amount of character depth for such a short story with a hfn ending, but plenty of potential for more if Livia wanted to expand their story. I'd certainly love to read more!

My review cover WHITE RIBBON by Aleatha Romig WHITE RIBBON is the introductory short story in Aleatha Romig’s contemporary adult THE RIBBON erotic, romantic suspense series focusing on Julia MacGrath, and businessman Donavan Sherman. NOTE: WHITE RIBBON was first released as part of the I HAVE LIVED, AND I HAVE LOVED anthology. Told from first person perspective (Julia McGrath) WHITE RIBBON follows in the aftermath of Julia McGrath’s life having spiralled out of control. Two weeks before her wedding Julia discovers that her fiance had been having an affair with Julia’s maid of honor, and the couple were expecting a child. Refusing to sit around as the jilted lover Julia leaves Chicago just days before the New Year, to start a new job in Northern Wisconsin but a surprise snowstorm finds our heroine stranded on the side of the road, only to be rescued by a stranger who calls himself Van. Spending one erotic night together in an isolated cabin, Van and Julia would go their separate ways, only to meet up a day later where Julia’s future is about to be revealed. WHITE RIBBON is a story of betrayal and heart break; rescue and seduction; surprise and revelations. The premise is intriguing and engaging; the characters are colorful, energetic and secretive; the $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense. WHITE RIBBON ends on a cliff hanger. Julia and Van’s story continues in RED SIN-October 2021.
