Mic placement seems to affect the sound more than other mics, which can be considered both good and tricky: 1. its good because it allows for more experimentation with different sounds; and 2. its tricky because you have to be more careful with it if you want to get the same sound on different takes.
I use it for practically anything that requires clarity and crisp high end.
I've also tried using in this in combination with the LCT 440 Pure to do stereo guitar; this mic pointing at the neck, and the 440 on the other side of the sound hole. Really nice.

EDIT: since writing my review, Lewitt sent me new switches along with a few spares. I received an follow up email from the company expressing their apologies for the switch issue. They did explain why the switch pops off when mic is "snapped" into it's clip. That now makes perfect sense to me now. They have corrected the switch issue on all future products. I was confused in an earlier email about the "glue" issue as I thought that I would have to apply the glue. Apparently the switches are now secured in place with an adhesive at their manufacturing facility. I've moved my rating from 3 star to a 5 star as Lewitt takes their reviews seriously and go beyond the competition to ensure that their customers are completely satisfied. Many thanks to Team Lewitt for their prompt action to insure that I was satisfied with their resolution.
Build quality is a little light and the ring where the mic cable is attached is already showing some wear after maybe 20 uses. One mic cable no longer clips in with a click but that could just be the mic cable itself rather than the mic housing wearing out.
