Why isn't my printable printing to the correct size? (Direct PDF downloads)
Some times printers will automatically stretch the size across to fit the page. Take a look at your printers dialogue box and check the “actual size” option or scale to 100%.
How do I adjust the size of my printable?
Whilst I don’t recommend increasing the size of your printable, you can scale it down. If you increase the size you will lose print quality and have a blurry or pixelated printout. By changing the Custom Scale percentage setting in your print dialogue box you can scale it smaller.
CORJL LISTINGS: For editable Corjl listings, during the download PDF process you can select your paper size from the "Paper Size" drop-down menu. These include US Letter, A4 and more.
Can I print US Letter 8.5"x11" to A4 paper?
Yes you can! You may notice your printer cutting off the edge of the page. You should be able to see this in the printer preview prior to printing if this is the case. Ensure the printers dialogue box has "fit" selected. Keep in mind this will scale the printout. For exact/true to size printing use the "actual size" or scale to 100% options.
CORJL EDITING: Can I create more pages with different text?
Yes! Absolutely. This must be done prior to downloading as you cannot edit the file once it's downloaded. There may also be download limits on the file. You can create as many different pages/designs as you need prior to downloading:
Edit your first page/design as you would like then simply click the "Duplicate Pages" icon at the top of the screen. When you hover over the icons, the mouse will prompt you with the name of each. You can use the arrow icons to toggle between the pages.
CORJL EDITING: My download shows the same design over and over on one PDF page. Can it show only one design after the other?
If the item you have purchased is small enough to print multiple designs per page you can choose two options during the download PDF process. By default, the settings are "Tile Same Design". This will duplicate as many copies of one design that will fit per page. For example, if you have created 20 food tent designs with different wording your download will be 20 pages long. If you wish to print only one design, each one after the other, simply toggle this option to "Tile Different Designs". You will see your PDF preview change to confirm this.
CORJL EDITING: What sizes can I download and print my file as?
You can select your paper size during the PDF Download process of Corjl. Select this from the "Paper Size" drop-down menu. These include US Letter, Legal, Ledger and A4. If your design is small enough you can also choose to download multiple per page. NB: This does not apply to image files such as JPG and PNG.
CORJL EDITING: Why can I only see one size/shape when there are supposed to be two? (eg. round/square tags or cupcake toppers)
To access these, use the arrow keys at the top of the screen. These will toggle between the different pages. You can also duplicate and create more or delete pages from here too.
DOWNLOADING TROUBLESHOOTING
*** Why can't I download my files from the app? ***
Unfortunately, you cannot download digital purchases through the Etsy mobile app at this time. To download a digital file, sign in to Etsy on your mobile browser or computer.
*** How do I open a zipped folder? ***
Sometimes zipped folders are required when your purchase has more than 5 files to download. Make sure you are downloading to a desktop/laptop.
PC: Once downloaded to your computer, right-click on the folder > Extract All
MAC: Once downloaded to your computer, double-click on the folder. You must open PDF files in Adobe Reader, not Preview.
PDF EDITING: Why is there an error message? Why are the fonts changing? Why isn't the PDF doing what it's supposed to?
Check the following:
Are you editing on a computer or device?
I only recommend editing PDFs on a computer. Whilst editing on a mobile device isn't impossible, it typically brings a lot of errors or bugs. Most of my files are encrypted and changes cannot be saved to a mobile device. You can however save changes to a file saved on your computer.
Have you saved the PDF to your computer's directory?
We tend to run into issues when filling in an editable PDF from an internet browser window. Ensure you have saved it to your computer first.
Do you have an outdated version of Adobe Reader?
Install the most current version.
Please contact me if you have tried the above and are still having issues.
