Publisher's summary

Where I End is a standalone new adult romance.

Eve

Pretentious. Arrogant. Condescending. Cruel.

All words I'd used to label him. Exactly what I’d always believed he was. All that changed one spring morning when I realized I didn't know the man behind the facade at all.

Angry. Desperate. Broken. Mine.

All words I'd use to define him after I interfered. Once our eyes locked, I was all in. There was no turning back. He tried to push me away, but I refused to let him go. I was determined to save him. What I didn't expect was that he would save me, too.

Cy

I was so close to ending my misery. Mere seconds away. Then she stumbled upon our argument, and I changed my plans. She wasn't supposed to be there. She knew too much. Even with my entire world burning down around me, she wouldn't walk away.

I’ve always been on my own. No one had ever fought for me before. Why should anyone start now? But she did, no matter how much I tried to stop her. I knew I was nothing, unworthy of her, but she was persistent. Once she got under my skin, I couldn't let her go, because where I end, she begins.

Soooo Good!

Story: The Story told is fabulous! It is a push and pull of emotions. The character development leaves you no option but to fall in love with them. Cy is so broken - Eve is so forgiving and loyal. Together- they have so much chemistry. They are perfect together. It is just sad they have to go through what they do to get their HEA.

Narration: Tor and Charley always give an amazing performance. They are by no means new to me and I love all their work. Always a great production.

Overview: I would happily recommend this book. It was great in all areas and leaves no regrets!

good.story

A powerful story of how childhood abuse can effect others by bullying and hurting others. The one person he really liked, but bullied all through high school, was at his home to witness his breakdown. All she wanted to do was to keep him from killing himself and let him know he was worth living. a story of rejection, bullying , forgiveness, trusting again, faith in people and love.
Charley Ongel and Tor Thom brought all the emotions to this story. 🎧audiobookobsessionreview🎧

First Michelle Dare book and I loved it.

This is my first Michelle Dare book, and what a great book it was. I really loved this story. It took my heart and kept it. Cy's childhood was anything but normal. He had so much to deal with as a child and young adult. He was tormented and abused just needing to be loved and cared for by the right woman.
Eve is determined to save Cy from the evil he has endured. Eve's generosity and love show Cy there is a world free from harm and torture. A world where love and compassion are real, not just a myth.
The narrators brought this story to life. Tor Thom and Charley Ongel sound great together. This book is def worth a credit.

New author with amazing narrators

I really liked this story it was one that had a few twists to it, How Cy picked on Eve was so awful and that his situation didn’t come to light way earlier than it did. And when it did - WOW.

Eve is so caring and how she jumped up to save Cy was outstanding. Then we meet Parker and he shows such wisdom and genuine friendship to bothCy and then Eve too. Would love to hear Parker’s story.

Then to hear Charley and Tor again, I’m really liking their dual narration and I’ve been gifted a few. 10*s to you both

What tragic love story.

A beautiful love story that was built on a pain. Love these two narrators, they always bring life to the characters.

Not your typical love story

his audible book was gifted to me by Tor Thom. It was narrated by Tor Thom and Charley Ongel. I enjoy there style of narration. This was my first opportunity to listen to something written by this author.
I have to say that the main female character Eve has to be one of the most forgiving people I have ever encountered. She was tormented for years by Sy the main male character, but when she should have said screw you and walked away, she becomes his savior and eventually his best friend and the love of his life.
Sy after being abused for many years of his childhood and ignored by his mother decides to end it he is saved by Eve and his best friend Porter.
Abuse is something I don’t enjoy reading about, but in this story it was not graphic or offensive which I could except. My peeve was that his mother did nothing, till it was almost to late. That did offend me.

...Is Where I Begin

What made the experience of listening to Where I End the most enjoyable?
The voice actors of Ongel and Thom made for a very pleasurable experience. They had me falling in love with both the book and their work. I can't wait to listen to more.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Where I End?
I think that if I were to answer this question I would have to listen to this book several times. But I thoroughly enjoyed how our actors went back and forth. This gives me more of a feeling that the characters are talking to me. Or I'm standing in the background watching the scenes unfold.

Which scene was your favorite?
I don't really have a favorite because I enjoyed each scene as they went by. The book on a whole was one that I enjoyed from beginning to end.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I didn't really have an extreme reaction but I did chuckle every so often and that just shows the great job that Ms. Ongel and Mr. Thom did in bringing Ms. Dare's story to life. They did such a good job that I don't think I could bring myself to read the book. I'd rather listen to the book a second time - oh, wait a minute I did do that.Once Cy starts to reveal what his life has been like, I do start to get very angry. No child should be treated like that. Then you get angry at his parent who seemed to turn a blinds eye to what he was going through.

Any additional comments?
Listening to a book is such a different experience than to sit and look as the words go by. We get a more visceral understanding. Even though there were times when I wanted to hit the adults that were supposed to know better, it didn't take away from my enjoyment. I don't know that I would have the same experience if this was read by any other voice actors. But I'm glad that I don't have to find that out. I look forward to experiencing both our voice actors as well as this author again.

I voluntarily reviewed an Audiobook copy of this book.

A Psychological Poignant Melodramatic Read

A coming of age story that is brimming with ansgt & a few dark moments. Naratted with a duet which is my favourite type of naration. A tough subject matter that is controversial, with underlying tones of other subject matters are touched upon also. An enemies to lovers scenerio that began in high school and fast forwards to adulthood. The narrattors did an excellent undertaking of capturing and drawing out the dramatics on this visceral journey. Overall, writing & narrative are profundity resonate.

Heart wrenching Story

Where I End was a very heart wrenching story. Cy has picked on Eve for years during high school & after. Eve works for Cy's mom & still has to see him daily after dealing with him all during high school. Cy has a lot of inner turmoil that he doesn't let people know about either until he blows up while Eve watches. Eve still wants to help him deal with everything even though he treated her like crap for all of these years. Cy just doesn't understand that. Cy also has to deal with his mom & step-dad. Eve does see the good in Cy & he just doesn't understand how she can. Eve is a very strong character through the whole book. Cy is so broken & wonders if life is really worth it all. Tor Thom & Charley Ongel did a wonderful job narrating such a heart wrenching story. I could feel the emotions of all of the characters through them. Overall the book was good.
