Customers are mixed about the quality of the chair. Some mention that it's well constructed, has great materials, and the build quality is far superior than any other gaming chair. However, others say that it broke, was defective right out of the box, and tearing started to show up after a year. They think this is because many cheap parts are used.

Customers are mixed about the value of the chair. Some mention it's worth the money, while others say it'll be more expensive than their last chair. The great back support comes with a cost, and the tilt mechanism is on the cheaper side. Surprised by: (1) how well made/sturdy/mostly made of metal, nothing cheap about this chair, (2) 8 screws total/great large printed instructions/8 steps, (3) Three tilting adjustments for the seat alone and four adjustments for the arm rests, and (4) I'm 5'8" 160 lbs and the lumbar support is perfect for me and the rest of the chair oddly fits my frame perfectly (not exaggerating).
Really surprised by: (1) the seat has an edge that basically hold your legs in or it is possible to exert a lot of pressure, outwards, with you legs against the cushioned-edge of the seat which for gaming keeps me in the seat, (2) how adjustable the seat/height/arm-rest are, when I say unlimited it's sort of true; I keep making fine tuned adjustments and I've never had such few problems sitting in a chair or getting out of one i.e. a couch is either too low or saggy or too cushiony and getting out of one leaves me feeling sore at different parts of my body, and (3) the pedestal is awesome, this chair sits on tile and all other chair get caught on the hills/valleys of tiles--not this chair, it rolls absolutely flat
Complaint: (1) heavier people might find the seat too hard over long periods of time (2) it is a large chair, at 5'8" the top of the chair almost comes up to my chin, that's not bad, it is that this chair has a lot of mass and takes up space (for anyone with those concerns).
I would definitely buy this chair again!
Some quick thoughts below (not going to repeat official specs you can find elsewhere)
(1) Very well put together. I have had 2 other gaming chairs and both used to creak or otherwise protest under routine usage (swiveling/leaning back/wheeling etc) but this doesn't (or at least not much)
(2) The color is muted, not much bling (unlike most Razer products - no LEDs or neon accents). Lettering on the chair fades into the color scheme as well. All of that to say - other than the silhouette/profile, this can pass for an office chair on Zoom calls.
(3) The adjustable lumbar support is a game changer. One of my favorite features of this chair.
(4) The seat is a bit firm. I would have like slightly softer cushioning or a way to adjust that ;-) but maybe I am asking for too much.
(5) The box is BIG and HEAVY. A definite 2 people lift. I had to get this down to my basement down a narrow and steep set of stairs, ended up unboxing the chair upstairs and carrying the parts down.
(6) Easy to setup alone - actually a fair bit is pre-assembled, just a matter of throwing things together and tightening a few bolts. On that front, some of it seems over-engineered or a bit "extra". For instance, the small caps that go on top of the bolts to cover them up are different for the left and the right side. I don't understand what purpose that serves, wouldn't it have been easier to make them interchangeable.
All in all, if you are looking for a great office/gaming chair with excellent lumbar support and all the features you may need, look no further.

Assembly was very easy, although some pieces are quite heavy (in a good way). The full metal legs feel very strong. The wheels seem like the typical office variety but might be a little slow considering the weight of the chair. I'm considering adding some rollerblade wheels. The tops of the armrests feel just a little wobbly, but also they can be adjusted in every direction.
The lumbar support is great and just what I was looking for. The support is not a weak pillow, but very solid and is completely adjustable thanks to a gas piston inside the chair. The whole chair hugs the body and for better or worse kind of forces the user to sit in an ergonomic position. I don't think someone much larger than me would be comfortable in the chair though as the sides of the seat do press in on my legs just a bit as is. However, again this was just what I was looking for as it helps me sit up straight and not slouch or tilt to the side like in my previous chair.
For my height the headrest and neck pillow fit me just right. If I was much shorter, the head pillow would hit the back of my head and not my neck. As is it is very comfortable and a nice change from my short-backed chair. The foam in the chair is somewhat rigid, and may not be suitable for someone who is using their chair in a full-time job. However, for a few hours of gaming this level of hardness keeps me from sinking into a bad posture.
The muted styling of the fabric chair is just what I was looking for. I wanted something that looked fun but also wasn't childish, and Razer struck a great balance with this one. The fabric is very breathable but also feels very sturdy. The Razer logo is on the chair in several places, but doesn't jump out like in other styles.
To recap, as a part-time gamer/most-time adult, this chair does a great job of balancing my needs. If you're trying to find a chair that says "Don't worry buddy, you're still cool" while also supporting your aging back, this might be the one for you :) .

Yo soy programador y si noto que me obliga a tener una buena postura, lo cual ha ayudado con dolores de espalda que tenía anteriormente.
Tiene otros features de lujo pero lo más importante para mi es el soporte lumbar que tiene 👌🏻
Anyways, it is a great chair. Hands down the best I have ever had. It comes in a HUGE box and it is HEAVY! I'm not going to repeat everything that's already in the description but I can confirm that it is made of some heavy duty materials that were made to last.
Assembly took about an hour by myself. Mostly because it is heavy and tricky to manipulate into position by yourself so I wanted to take my time so as not to do something stupid like poke a hole in it or tear the seat. Lining the bolts for the back was a bit annoying as they don't line up easily when doing it by yourself. It's not that they aren't in the right place, it's just again a matter of being really heavy and having to keep it in place while you attach the 6 bolts (4 to attach it to the frame, 2 to attach the covers for each side)
The lever for the lumbar support didn't work at first. It's on what I would compare to the brake cable on your mountain bike. It needs adjusting to get it at the right tension to work properly. I've seen a lot of people complaining about it and saying it broke. I can pretty much guarantee that in most of those cases, it was because the person just kept pulling on the handle or never bothered to check the YouTube video provided that shows you how to adjust the tension. It's easy to attach to the seat via a quick release if you need to adjust it more.
The real test was sitting my butt down and getting after it. First thing I noticed is It is incredibly firm. I thought maybe it would be uncomfortable but 2 hours of iRacing later, my butt and more importantly, my back wasn't feeling like it did when I did the same time in my old $399 Serta chair that was supposed to have great lumbar support etc but really didn't. I am not a small dude at 5'11" and 240lbs. I have broad shoulders and not exactly a tiny waist lol. My thighs are also pretty hefty and that being said, the chair fit me perfectly. The curvature of the upper shoulder area, the lower back, and the seat all sat exactly where they should without any poking or discomfort.
Razer's lumbar support is far more advanced than most chairs that just have some adjustable bump that pushes into your lower back. It's a...plate....for lack of a better word, that moves outwards and supports a large area of your lower back. I am plagued by L3-L5 damage and my Serta chair made it worse. I have put in some long sessions, 6 hrs for instance, and not had any pain in my back OR in my butt. So, I can attest to the quality of the lumbar support without hesitation.
I have seen people complain that they don't like the upright sides of the seat because their thighs were sore after so I can only assume that since my pudgy legs fit comfortably, that maybe the X XL would have been better for them. I love that my legs are held in place when racing for hours and because there's some extra room I rolled up a small towel and put it between my left thigh and the seat edge to make it even more of a snug fit. When you're braking, accelerating and steering hundreds of times a race, you don't want to have to clench your legs together to keep your feet in the optimal position for left foot braking and hitting the throttle. That takes a lot of the discomfort I would feel in my other chair completely out of the equation.
The lumbar support is amazing. The difference I felt at the end of the night after about 5 hours of racing, was so noticeable. Usually I'd get up, make some Dad noises while doing so, and then spend half an hour getting back to normal. Now, it's not like that at all. The almost infinite ways you can adjust the lumbar support, back angle, seat angle and height, will get you exactly where you need to be. You need to take your time and fine tune it to your preference. It took me a few races before I had it perfect for my taste.
While you may think it's too firm, unless you're super light, you'll notice that the high density foam actually form fits your bottom and thighs just the right amount to make your seated position perfect for your body type. I don't have to use memory foam cushions any more.
I don't have long legs so at first it felt too high (even set at the lowest position) for racing, so I just swapped out the wheels with the ones from my older chair as they are a bit smaller and it was enough to give me the position I need for racing. I spent a couple hours playing Division 2 and it was really nice not having to get up and adjust a bunch of extra cushions every few minutes. I was perfectly seated and totally comfy. Most importantly, my back and butt weren't sore at any point.
It's not cheap, but it's well built, very ergonomic, and the difference between this and my other chair extremely noticeable. I'm really happy I bought this. It's expensive because its a quality, high end piece of gear and made to last. Easy to recommend to any gamer looking for THE chair.
*note: While I am a Vine Voice reviewer, this was a personal purchase, paid for with my own money. So, no I'm not giving it a good review for other reasons. It is a great freakin' chair.
