You Are Mine #4

You Know I Need You

Rate this book
I married the bad boy from Brooklyn.

The one with the tattoos and the look in his eyes that told me he was bad news.
The look that comes with all sorts of warnings.

I knew what I was doing.
I knew by the way he put his hands on me; how he owned me with his forceful touch.

I couldn’t say no to him, not that I wanted to. That was then, and it seems like forever ago.

Years later, I’ve grown up and moved on. But he’s still the man I married. Dangerous in ways I don’t like to think about.
I did this to myself. I knew better than to fall for him.

I only wish love was enough to fix this…

This is the second book of a duet. You Know I Love You, book 1, must be read first. It is the second duet in the series.

Willow started writing after having her little girl, Evie, December 2015. All during her pregnancy with Evie she continued to read and she only wanted to read romance. She was reading a book a day — sometimes two.

In January 2016 Willow was staying up late with Evie and just thinking of all these stories. They came to her constantly so she finally sat down and just started writing. She always wanted to do it so she figured, why not? Today Willow cannot be happier for making that decision!

ღ This is one of those edge-of-your-seat conclusions to emotional romance, suspends thrillers stories …. Evan & Kat
While some might say that you can read (You Know I Love You ) as a standalone it is advised to read You Know I Love You (book 1 in the duet) first. but I completely disagree that it is a given to read You Know I Love You 1st! but hey that’s only my opinion

I must warn you before you get all comfortable to read this book make sure you have a box of Kleenex with you as you read this emotional book.

The author left us with bit of a twist at the end of the last book, & one hell of a jaw dropping cliffhanger-but no worries all our questions, will be answer by the end

We all know that Evan & Kat belong together but the secrets are destroying their marriage. So once again you need to prepare yourself for the crazy roll coaster of ride
Evan & Kat's story will just rip your heart out of your chest from the beginning. But their marriage is on the verge of ending, & the love they have for one another is soul deep.

when the truth is finally revealed , will Kat survive? Will she ever be able to trust Evan again? This & so much more will draw you in
I can’t wait to see where Willow Winter takes us next!

📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion+ Also I wouldn’t never discourage anyone from reading this book.

This duet was like an emotional roller coaster. It was filled with angst, mystery, lies, murder, heart wrenching and frustrating af (Evan I’m looking at you) moments. UNTIL FINALLY Evan and Kat got their HEA.

My poor heart 😭 I either wanted to cry or punch a hole in the wall. This duet really did test my patience with the whole cycle between Kat and Evan, how he just kept on keeping his secrets, I know he was trying to protect her but Kat didn’t know that and just reading the heartache she was going through, forgiving Evan for him to do something to push her away again. I was just so frustrated.

description

I would read Kat’s POV and deeply dislike Evan for putting her through so much and then would read Evan’s POV and sympathies with him. It was a mess okay? I was not okay.

description

Also I’m pretty sure Evan has said the word “sorry” a thousand times in the duet where there came a point where I was like IF HE SAYS SORRY ONE MORE TIME. ONE MORE TIME IM GOING TO MENTALLY PUNCH HIM. REPEATEDLY. We don’t want anymore sorry’s Evan we want the mystery to be solved so that you can be with your wife.

The back and forth between Evan and Kat came to a point where I was just like let’s please forgive and be together okay? I couldn’t take Kat’s pain anymore and Evans helplessness. Imagine I’m still giving the book 5 stars after being a complete wreck while reading it. I believe that was the whole purpose of the book you know? To make me tear up, be frustrated as hell and feel completely hopeless until finally I could see some light.

With regards to the whole suspense regarding the “night”when it was FINALLY solved and we get to know who was actually the culprit, well I was surprised. Did not see that one coming, maybe because I was just too invested in Kat and Evan.

I’m just happy that after going through sooooo much Kat and Evan got their HEA!

I read this book as Scarred and it resolves the mystery of who killed Tony and the continuation of Evan still trying to get Kat back. But then they are still separated and he won't call her back of text her because he thinks someone is going to kill her and it just got a little too much for me. He tells her something and she's not supposed to tell anyone and what does she do, she tells someone. Very annoying. And he really really did love his wife. There was so much going on. Epilogue was odd but they were happy.

I will re-read the re-write version of this too. Just to see what changed.

WOW…. I read it some time ago and I still cannot turn all those impressions into words so I can describe how delighted I was.
You have probably heard the well-known saying ‘The greatest love has the power to kill or heal, right? Well, that is the beginning and the end of this story, and everything in-between is pure emotion that will leave you speechless.
If I have to choose one song that can describe this exceptional tale, it would be 'Unbreak my heart' by Toni Braxton, which somehow most successfully captured all those feelings that the author so masterfully conveyed through the pages...
I read a lot. I have read more than 180 books last year alone. And I know that rare are those books in which you can feel the pain and turmoil of the narrator, especially from the very beginning. And to continue feeling every single emotion, page after page ... A book that overwhelms you and makes you want to finish it while wishing to leave the book aside. Sounds contradictory, right? But believe me, it is so, the time you will spend reading this duet will cause you so many feelings that are often intertwined. And many times you will find yourself at a crossroads in terms of determining your sympathies for certain characters or acts. And that anger or pleasure makes you want to read as soon as possible, but the emotion that overwhelms you makes you want to stay as long as possible in that masterful world that this author created.
The final part of the story of Kate and Evan is here. A story about a love that like a weed manages to overcome all the storms and difficulties. Love that defies bad weather, bad intentions, bad languages ... But nothing is eternal, right? Does their love have the power to withstand the weight of painful truth? Will they have the strength to forgive themselves for the reckless things that slowly but surely destroy their relationship?
I have to admit that I’m not inclined to reading duets unless binge reading them. I had to wait for more than a month, and I have to admit that mere words cannot express how I loved this duet. A five star read from beginning to finish. This final piece of the story continues in the same manner as the first one. A truly emotional love story, with the perfect amount of mystery and angst, to keep you on the edge of your seat till the last page. And when I say emotional, I mean that every single page is filled with raw emotions that are simply dripping from the pages. And it is no wonder that you can feel the characters and understand them through Willow’s perfect development of them. As we saw from the first part, Kat and Evan are total opposites, but fall in love and beat the odds anyway. Kat is a wonderful heroine. A strong and successful young woman, who slowly loses the ground under her feet after her whole world is slowly destroyed. But despite everything, she manages to get up and fight for her happiness, to cry, grieve, but also to love endlessly... And our bad boy, our hero is irresistible. With words that steal sighs, a tone that must be obeyed, and sexy looks, he is truly delicious. And honestly who wouldn’t love Evan!!!!
“I’ll fuck her so good when all this is over, she’ll forget any other man exists.”
You can condemn his choices and decisions as much as you wish, but you have to admit that his reasoning is unique… Possessive and protective, he’s like a true knight from a fairy tale, a really dirty fairy tale.
After reading this duet, I can freely say that Willow Winters is in a class by herself. With the right amount of suspense and romance, this book is a real roller coaster of emotions that no reader should miss.

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Evan and Kat were a total storm to deal with honestly. Emotions are flying everywhere, the romance is there but barely, the chemistry is thick in the air..and my head is going wowza at every plot twist.

Seriously, how can WW write this good? My head was spinning the entire time in a good way of course. Drama, feelings, more drama, it was all chaos and I enjoyed being in the center of it all.

I absolutely fell in love with the writing, the romance, the characters, the plot twists, and just the whole book in general.

I seriously cannot wait to read more by this author.

Until the next read,

Have I told you recently how much I love Willow Winters? Because I really do.

This story about Kat and Evan grabbed a hold of me from the very beginning. It resonates with my soul and was such a breathtaking and emotional read for me. If you saw my face while reading this, you'd probably ask me, “Sara, are you okay?” And the answer would be absolutely not. I swear to you that every time I read a new Willow book her writing gets better and better every time, which I don't even know how that’s even possible. This book is raw, real and one big emotional rollercoaster. You will not want to put it down. The suspense, struggle, love, devotion and mystery will keep you on your toes. I highly recommend reading this duet if you are new to Willow, it’s a great sampling of the amazing and touching work she does.

My rating: 3 stars

What I liked: I liked how everyone got what they deserved especially Sam(ow). I liked Kat(h), especially when she started talking to om. I just wished she would of stayed mad at Evan longer, I felt like she forgave him too easily. I also liked the side character Mason.

What I didn’t like: I didn’t like how Evan(H) couldn’t just tell her the truth about that night or at least what he told her later in the book. I especially hated how she saw that he was brought in for murder but he still lies to her even when he thinks his life and maybe hers are in jeopardy. Also, hated how he had Sam at his house knowing that Kat wouldn’t like it.

How hot was it: 3 out 5

Triggers: H is photographed coming out of a hotel room with ow. When the media asks him about it he didn’t correct them when they assumed he was having sex with the ow. h sees the photos and the H won’t tell her about it (H has been keeping secrets from h). Later in the book, we find out that before the H & h were married and first dating that he did have sex with the same ow (just once) that he was caught with in the photos. Later, because he thinks his life is in jeopardy leaves the h so they will think he is done with her so she will be safe. h starts talking to om and kisses him once. Also, drug use, death of a parent for H on page and death of parents for h off page.

Final thoughts: This was just an ok read for me. I think it could have been just one book. At least the first book was free.

WOW!!!!! What a rollercoaster ride full of intense emotional riviting drama, mystery, secrets, lies, mistrust, angst, grief, conflict, anger, suspense, intrigue, danger, murder, twist that have you turning page after page.
Evan is ruining his marriage by keeping so many secrets from Kat to keep her safe, she can't take it she doesn't know if she trusts him anymore he's keeping so much from her.
I definitely recommend to get this interesting, captivating, mysterious book that grabs you from beginning to end so much happens you don't know who the bad guy is.
I loved how strong Kat was in her belief no matter what she truly knew through it all that Evan did love her he just needed to trust enough to tell her his secrets.
Just goes to show you that love can get you through anything, will he finally tell Kat all his secrets.
Kat has a little surprise for Evan will he be happy you have to get this book to find out what happens & the shocking secrets revealed at the end.
I'm looking for to next book "TELL ME YOU WANT ME" SUE'S STORY!!!

Book 4 in the You Are Mine and the second book in the duet. This is the continuation of Kat and Evan’s story from You Know I Love You. You need to read book 1 in this duet to fully grasp the emotions of what Kat and Evan is going through. The conclusion to their love story was phenomenal. So many ups and downs, twists and turns and the chemistry between them was out of this world. Their emotions flew off the pages. You feel everything that they are feeling. I was pulled into this book from page one. Loved this story. You won’t regret picking it up.

Kat and Evan's story continues and when the truth is finally revealed it leaves Kat reeling and questioning who her husband is and if he can be trusted. Evan has made mistake after mistake but it has always been to protect Kat and now he must deal with fallout from those decisions.

Their love for each other was never a question but Kat wants out as she has reached her breaking point and can’t handle any more. This only makes Evan try harder to show her the deep unending love that he has always had for her. Their relationship is further complicated by those in their lives that would like to ensure that they remain divided.

This is an emotional heart wrenching experience with twists that leave you guessing. The combination of suspense and drama makes you question what is real and what is not and the ending makes it all worthwhile.

I could not put this down. I NEEDED the answers. And man...sometimes I kinda wanted to punch Evan in the face. But to me that means that Ms. Winters is doing her job right. She's making me so invested in her characters I want to do them (albeit mild) harm! The back and forth between Evan and Kat, all the suspense and the mystery?! Yes to it all!! Now I want the next part of this "world" and I'm basically a sucker for everything this author puts out and I want it nae, I need it all. Fantastic work. You absolutely need to read You Know I Love You before this as this is the second in a duet. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this and all opinions are my own.

Previously released as Scarred, You Know I Need You is the conclusion of Evan and Kat's story, written in dual POV. Determined to save Kat, Evan does the hardest thing by telling her the complete truth. Workimg through the past has been soulbreaking for Kat but she's determine to do whatever it takes to hold onto Evan.

There are times when an author re-releases a book that I've loved in the past that I don't care for, but Willow made enough changes to draw in and read this in a setting. Amazing the first time, fabulous the second!

“𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺. 𝘋𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘦, 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶?”

This story was a whirlwind, and honestly I was afraid it wouldn’t be an HEA. This story is read quickly due to its shorter length, but it left me on edge. While reading, I was in constant doubt and agony because Willow didn’t make it easy to know if this would end in a happily ever after. Although she guarantees it every time; I really doubted her with this one because it felt like my heart was being squeezed. The story between these two characters is a whirlwind of emotions. I’m so glad I read it because it was real, deep, and scary. This book is the definition of the hope we drive for in romance novels❤️

I loved Evan, but I also hated him. He needed to stop with the secrets and just be honest with Kat. I honestly don’t know how she didn’t strangle him. With everything they were going through together it seemed like Kat was on her own. She was a badass who held it together, but she was still human. By the end; I figured out why Evan did what he did, and I didn’t blame him. These two together had fantastic chemistry, honestly it was sexy as hell. I was genuinely worried about them though because their history was so beautiful and I didn’t want it to crash and burn due to secrets. However, we know secrets can always ruin everything😨

I found the ending to be wrapped up quicker than expected, which is why I gave it a 4.5, rather than a 5! Regardless this is a story filled with hope (for both the reader and characters), mistrust, and sexy times!😉

I’d rate this novel 4.5⭐️

It didn't take more than a few words for me to fall deeply for these characters all over again, they pulled me right back into their disastrous little love affair and had me fully invested immediately. I went in armed with my hope that they would find some peace and happiness... but it did not come easily. There were so many lies being kept, so many emotions to sort out, and a lot of forgiveness to be found.

They tore at my heart, had me second guessing every word they uttered, and had me on the edge of my seat breathless a time or two. So many twists and turns, many jaw dropping moments, the words had me emotionally unraveled and left me wondering who to trust. Just when I thought I had a handle of where things were going, some other secret was thrown into the mix and I was left rattled and at a loss all over again. I don't want to give too much of the story line away so I will just say this... go in with your eyes open, feel the words, and just let the characters lead the way. They will take you on one heck of an emotionally jarring and suspenseful riveting ride, all you have to do is hold on and enjoy the ride!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

Without you I am nothing. With you I am everything...

Waiting for Kat and Evan's closure was so worth the wait. It was exquisitely written by Willow Winters. Evan is in a state of desperation to prove he loves and will always love Kat and wants a forever with her. Kat is at a crossroads. She loves him and wants to believe him but he always seems to come back to her and then leaves her time and time again. She feels she needs to try to move on without him and she finds comfort with someone else who listens to her.

I found my heart in my throat with the suspense and all the emotion when it comes to the conclusion for their story. The ending was magnificent and perfectly wrapped up for a well-deserved HEA.

Angst, suspense, and conflicting emotions dominated the pages in You Know I Need You, the exciting conclusion of Evan and Kat’s duet of books in Willow Winters’ passionate You Are Mine series.

First things first, definitely make sure to read You Know I Love You, the beginning to Kat and Evan’s duet, first before reading this one as You Know I Need You picks up exactly where that one left off (which was a mother of a cliffhanger!). This ended up being a really quick read for me. Because with the amount of danger Evan was in and the wedge it put between himself and Kat, I just had to know how they could possibly resolve everything between them, so I flew through the pages. And there were certainly a lot of thrills and emotions along the way... Read More

“I will wait forever for her if that’s what she needs.”

Thrilling. Addicting. A fantastic read.

Willow really killed it with this duet. It had me allll up in my feels.

Kat and Evan were consuming. Their love was never-ending, even when they were going through so many problems... they never stopped loving each other. Everything they did, it was for each other.

I love Willow’s writing so much. Her stories are always so addictive and fresh. I can’t wait to see what Willows brilliant mind comes up with next!

The beautiful conclusion to Kat and Evan’s story. In Evan’s fight to save his marriage he reveals the secret that he has been hiding and shares the information that he has found out. Kat has a little secret of her own that she reveals leaving Evan with the realization that he may have to do something he has been trying to avoid. Kat continues to struggle with her love for Evan. My heart literally broke for Kat but her strength to help clear her husband is beyond heroic.

When all the pieces crumble into place The ending couldn’t have been more perfect. I absolutely LOVED this duet and will be going back to read Mason’s story. I am so excited for what is to come.

After the jaw dropping cliffhanger of the first book, I’m so ready to dive straight in! Evan and Kat’s tumultuous love story continues after all the revelations we discovered in You Know I Love You. Can Evan find a way to keep Kat safe and win her back? Will the truth finally come out or will all the lies finally be the end for them? NY wealth, secrets, lies and murder all intertwine in this great romantic suspense novel. I really enjoyed Kat & Evan’s journey together and hope you do to. This was previously titled Scarred but has been rewritten and elevated. Told in dual POV
