DISCOVER ONE OF THE MOST GRIPPING NEW THRILLERS YOU’LL READ THIS YEAR.

A father will do anything to keep his daughters safe. But the phone lines are down. The roads are blocked. And the woman in the cabin is hiding a terrible secret . . .

This camping trip is Chris’s last chance to repair his relationship with his daughters, Kayla and Emma. Nothing’s been the same since they lost their mom. But things go wrong as soon as they get to the mountains.

When they make camp, nine-year-old Emma runs off into the woods. By the time they find her, there’s a snowstorm rolling in. And Emma’s leg is badly broken. They need to find shelter, fast.

They think they’re safe when they come across an old farmstead. The woman inside welcomes them in from the howling blizzard and straps up Emma’s leg.

They settle down for the night, but when Chris wakes at dawn and looks over . . . Emma is gone.

And this family’s nightmare is only just beginning.

An utterly breathtaking thriller perfect for fans of Harlen Coben, Gregg Olsen, Mary Kubica, Lisa Jackson and Stephen King’s Misery.

Set in the stunning wilderness of the Colorado Flat Tops, this addictive thriller packed with shocking twists will make you question everything you think you know about family.

This book will have.on the edge of your seat. So.well written, amazing twist and turns. It's story line will grab you if you enjoy a good thriller. I usually can figure out the ending but this book's ending was like a run away train... I recommend this book , even when you finish it you're still thinking about it...

A twist a minute. I don’t think I’ve ever read anything so traumatizing. Sad to say that something like this happens but it’s hard to imagine people being so cruel and evil.

there was so much gore, it was like reading a horror movie fr. i enjoyed parts of it, some more than others, and i almost dnf’ed a couple of times… but i didn’t 🥳 hard to read tbh but i feel good getting to the end. haven’t read anything like it tbh

SPOILER:
would’ve been a little better if the “villian” wasn’t the “evil other personality” cause i do feel like that is a bit disrespectful to people with DID in real life.

5.0 out of 5 stars First 5 star read of 2024!

Did someone say first 5⭐️ of 2024????

This book absolutely shocked me at how good it was. Thrillers are so hard to master and it’s rare that I get truly shocked. This is only the second thriller I’ve ever given a five star.

The book starts off on the slower side, but even when it was building the scenes and giving us back story, the eeriness and “you are not safe” vibes were immaculate and are 100% what I look for in a thriller.

This is definitely more borderline horror, and we do get some gore and disturbing content (check your trigger warnings), but wow, I loved this so much!

The twist literally had me putting the book down and questioning everything. My jaw actually dropped. I’ve passionately told so many people about this book and I hope it gets the recognition it needs because WOW!

This story never lets up! From the very beginning, it is go go go and full of action. It begins as grief horror and in a way, that's what this story is all about -- the love and absence thereof from a family.

Doo yourself a favour and read this one!

The plot is very unusual and different than what I have read so far, nevertheless a good one. I have enjoyed and I would recommend it.
