Bought to print postage labels for E-bay sales. After less than twenty minutes out of the box, everything was set up and working.
Pros:
- Very compact.
- Huge savings on effort and time compared to printing on normal paper, cutting out the label, and taping to a box.
- Easy to use.
- Seems very well built.
- Comes with a USB cable, and a small "starter" packet of 4" x 6" self adhesive labels.
- Website is nice with plenty of info and various how-to's (E-bay, Amazon, etc.)
- Doesn't use proprietary labels.
Cons:
- There's a surprising oversight on the website, although it lists possible fixes for problems, it doesn't go into detail on how exactly to implement the fixes. To make the print-out darker, they suggest slowing down the print speed and increasing the print density in Printer Preferences -> Settings, but they don't tell you if the numbers should be higher or lower. Through trial and error I figured out the lower the number the slower the print speed (the "correct speed" for me appears to be 3 ). I'm still playing around with the density settings, but so far 6-8, prints out nice dark labels with no white spots.
Bottom Line:
There's really only four options for dedicated 4"x6" label printers. The Brother and DYMO both appear to have reliability issues, and the Zebra is too expensive (at least for what we're doing). As long as there's no malfunctions, the Rollo is looking like one of those devices that we'll wonder how we ever lived without it.
Update: It's been more than six months and the Rollo keeps chugging along with regular (almost daily) use. Since the manufacturer has fixed their website instructions (very appreciated BTW), I'm now giving it five stars (from 4 to 5).

Life changing - see photos for label management
This little thing works like a dream. Tiny, works fast, prints clean. I’ve only printed 2 “real” labels from it and the sample label a few times. I won’t be putting it to work for real until fall 2021. Tech support was amazing, I emailed them before I set it up because I needed a 15ft USB cord and I wanted to see if they had a preference. They don’t. I bought this one: StarTech.com 15 ft USB 2.0 A to B Cable - M/M - USB 2.0 Cable - Black - USB Type A (M) to USB Type B (M) (USB2HAB15) https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000067SPO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and it works perfectly.For the label feeder: It’s a toilet paper holder with a cell phone shelf, upside down. Here’s what I did: went to my nearest L-named, blue brand home improvement building. Purchased “toilet tissue holder with phone shelf” aka item one two one five one four one, it was in-store and was less than thirteen dollars. I then bought a short piece of 1.5 inch PVC pipe and had it cut in-store to two 4 inch pieces. Pipe was less than three dollars. I wrapped the sample labels that come with the printer around the pipe, taping the first one on the pipe with a small piece of blue painters tape. As you can see in the photo the TP holder has a little lip so I put the whole thing on a small book I never look at so the whole thing sits flush. I could also have spun the holder around backwards, with the lip hanging off the shelf, but I didn’t want to see the wall-mount holes of the TP holder. I know people complain about the cord placement but as you can see in the photo the cords just drape across the metal and they’re fine. Based on other tips on a video streaming website for this machine, I ordered a roll of 4x6 labels from the shipping company with an arrow in the logo, if you have an account the labels are free. Smallest roll is 950 labels. I will re-spool it onto the two PVC pipes, however much will fit while still spinning freely. Thank you to the person who originally posted a photo of what he did, I think in a review of the official Rollo label holder, for giving me this genius idea.
