MOUNT HEIGHTS

Brightness controls

Windage and elavation

Mount Heights

The Sightmark Wolverine FSR and CSR include a picatinny mount and riser (9) for absolute co-witness. If mounting on a bolt action hunting rifle or shotgun, a low profile mount height is desired and it is recommended the co-witness riser not be used. If mounting on flat top rifles, it is recommended the riser be installed for an absolute co-witness with iron sights

Brightness controls

The Wolverine FSR and CSR offer 10 brightness settings; 8 daytime and 2 night vision modes. Settings 1 and 2 can be used with generation 1, 2, and 3 night vision devices. Settings 3 and 4 are best for low light, indoor environments while 5 - 10 are best for outdoor environments.

Windage and Elevation adjustment

The Sightmark Wolverine FSR and CRS have built- in windage and elevation adjustments (2, 3) with audible clicks. The Wolverine FSR has ½ MOA clicks meaning each click moves the point of impact ½” at 100 yards. The Wolverine CSR has MOA clicks so each click moves the point of impact 1” at 100 yards, ½” at 50 yards, and ¼” at 25 yards.

GOOD JOB SIGHTMARK!!!

GOOD JOB SIGHTMARK!!!
I bought one of these sights last month and like it so much I picked up another. The CSR versions of the Wolverine are smaller, lighter and more compact than the FSR versions. The build quality, finish, and features are outstanding. Sight mark did an excellent job in designing this, creating a good-looking, fully functional, feature-laden sight at a very reasonable price. Mounted on a Mini-14 and a M&P 15-22, both have performed flawlessly. Here's what I've found during my last few range trips:Pros:-The rubber armoring is a nice touch. It adds extra protection to the entire sight body except for a small area around the objective lens.-The sight is fully digital, with buttons well placed and easily accessible.-The glass is plenty bright and clear, devoid of the dark lens coatings other sights possess.-The 4 moa dots are very clear and crisp. The 10 brightness settings (2 for NV) adjust accordingly. 8-10 are so bright I bet most folks won't even need them, IMO. In fact, I didn't have to go above setting 3 while using my sights. Holding the "up" arrow for 5 seconds shuts the sight off.-Brightness/illumination controls are easy to operate and provide audible, tactile clicks.-Both the elevation/windage and battery caps have a rubber o-ring to keep dust and moisture out. I could literally feel these working, grabbing the caps when I loosened and tightened them. Hence the IP67 rating against dust and water.-All caps are tethered to prevent loss.-The windage/elevation adjustments are clearly marked, provide audible, tactile clicks, and performed accordingly. I had no issues zeroing on my rifles. Adjust corrections were spot on and stayed put.-The sight comes with both and low mount and riser, ready to fill multiple roles on various guns.-Battery life is measured in tens of thousands of hours, user and brightness setting dependent of course.-It has a 12-hour shutoff built in to save battery life. Unfortunately this is not adjustable.-Both arrived new in box with Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA batteries, not the cheap, single color jobs we are used to! lol This seriously floored me! And common, everyday, household type batteries, too? Who'd have thunk it!-The mount is very strong and thought out. It incorporates a washer, a locking washer, a locking hex nut, and pressure springs inside of the mount exerting outward pressure. Both of mine tightened up very securely and I can assure you they are not going anywhere.CONS:-As is often the case with budget dots, the emitter is slightly visible, in this case from the 3:30 to 5:00 position. It's very similar to that which you see in the highly successful Bushnell TRS-25, and like with that sight, does not interfere at all with operation and shooting.-No flip up lens covers, although there is a well designed bikini cover. Now truth be told, I don't own any high end, top-of-the-line Aimpoint or EOtech sights. I do, however, own several other sights for my various rifles and shotguns, all "budget" dots.....Ultradot 30MM, Vortex (Strikefire and Sparc), Bushnell (1x28 and TRS-25), Holosun micro, Sig Sauer mini dot, and the new Hi-Lux Micro Max B dot (excellent sight, BTW). Honestly, this Sightmark CSR brings initial quality and features to the table similar, and in many cases exceeding, those of my aforementioned sights. In closing, I highly recommend this sight to those who want good quality and features minus the top end price. I'm quite certain you won't be disappointed.UPDATE 1-23-16: I took them both out today at -15 here in interior Alaska, a temp most folks will never experience let alone shoot in! lol I was impressed enough to move the Mini's CSR to one of my ARs Both sights were subjected to this temperature for over 2 hours and performed flawlessly yet again. Heck, I own a couple Vortex Strikefire sights that become problematic at temps under 20, flickering, turning on and off, failing altogether until warmed up, etc. No issues of that sort with these Wolverine CSR sights, which continue to amaze.UPDATE 2-22-16: Last week I removed my AR's Wolverine CSR so I could verify a scope I have zeroed to this weapon. This morning I remounted the CSR and swung by the range, placing a 4" paster at 75 yards. Blam, blam, blam,.....3 rounds center mass, all within 1.5" of point of aim. Very impressive! This, combined with it's overall features and ability to withstand sub-zero temperatures, has me stunned. Why can't all of Sightmark's offerings perform on this level?FINAL UPDATE (And then I'll shut up!): I discovered something interesting today. If you own a Sig Sauer STS-081 red dot or the nearly identical ITAC Defense red dot, or have a friend who does who'd be willing to help, the included ARD/killflash that comes with those sights will fit the Wolverine CSR PERFECTLY! I kid you not, it's as though they were made for one another. Having both sights out at the same time, and seeing the CSR's objective lens threads, I thought what the heck. The kill flash screwed right in, no problem. Crazy, huh? Just something for others to think about!OKAY, I LIED: My third CSR arrived today. Sightmark has made some changes. The box is larger with more foam padding, the rubber armoring is of a flatter matte color, and best of all they are now using torx screws in the base vs. the tiny allen screws on the early sights. Like most folks I'll take torx over allen screws any day of the week.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Enough for Tactical Timothy? Nope. For the practical shooter? You bet!
Reviewed in the United States on October 3, 2017
The cheap red dot and it's philosophy of use.

Look at what you're buying...This optic falls into the same area of quality as some of the votex, bushnell, and primary arms red dots available on amazon. This is not designed with milspec standards or extreme ruggedness in mind. If that's what you're after, you wont find that with this optic. However, for 95% of the prospective buyers looking at red dots in the $100 to $200 price range this is going to work just fine.

Here is my experience...

I use this red dot on my fun-gun which is an 9mm pistol and I am plenty happy with it. Aesthetically this optic is pleasing and (in my opinion) works on my platform. The 2 MOA red dot and glass are clear and it's a decent FOV. The optic was fairly close to zero (took 1 magazine) after mounting and has remained zero'd after about 1,000 rounds. Color me impressed with a cheap red dot!

I could have gone with a more expensive reflex sight which is designed with the milspec standard and ruggedness but why bother? I am likely never going to be in a situation where I wished for that $500 to $900 optic mounted to my rifle/pistol. For me it was a budget conscious decision... More time shooting and having fun and less time sidelined (broke) because I spent too much on the milspec red dot.

Final thoughts...

Pros: Cost, Mounting Options included in the box, and Glass Clarity

Cons: It's a tad heavy, the rail mount is what your pay for (**see update**), and it has a large profile

-edit-

UPDATE - Nov. 13th, 2017

This optic just moved from the I like category to the 'I am very impressed' category (see picture). Recently, while on a hunting/backpacking trip my pistol (which the Wolverine is mounted to) had an accident. The firearm fell from about 35 feet over some rocks and into a perennial stream. There were two accessories attached to the pistol when it fell... The only accessory that 'survived' was the wolverine and even after a mostly broken trigger and completely broken trigger guard this optic managed to hold zero...

While there are things that out of the box may seem really cheap with this reflex sight I can honestly say this red dot is tough enough for just about anyone and it's earned another star in my review.

Work for me. Hold zero. AA battery nice, i can find it everywhere. When i use my bipod, i hit the target every times at 125 feet. The window dimension of 23mm is perfect for both eyes open shooting, its not obtrusive. The red dot is little to big if you planning to shot over 125 feet, maybe the SM26020 is good for you, the red dot is more small and the window is bigger.
