Tysin Briggs is a player.

He's cocky, selfish, and sexy as sin. I've heard the rumors, and it's no secret, he's just as talented in the bedroom as he is on the guitar.

As the lead guitarist for A Rebels Havoc, and my brother's best friend, Tysin has heartbreak written all over him. We were asking for trouble sneaking around behind my brother’s back. It still didn’t stop me from spending the summer with him or from falling in love with him.

Two years have passed since he destroyed my heart, crushing it into a million pieces. A lot has changed since then, including the ring on my finger. When my brother asks for my help filling in as the manager of their sold-out tour, it's an opportunity I can't refuse.

I should’ve known the past wouldn’t stay in the past.

But what I didn’t count on was how hard it would be to resist him.

Author's Note: Tysin is a standalone and can be read without reading any other books in the A Rebels Havoc series. If you prefer to read in order, start with Brix as the stories do interconnect.

*Please be aware, this book does contain subjects that may be sensitive for some readers, including pregnancy loss and cheating. If you're looking for a safe story, this book is not for you.

ARC Review: Brooke O'Brien understood the assignment! Tysin & Kyla brought all the angst, spice & sexual tension. I love the rockstar vibe of this book. I was cheering for one guy in the beginning and hating one and then completely flipped my view! There was also an extra detail that I never saw coming😲 You're going to want to read this book and all the delicious SIN that is Tysin!

I genuinely dislike this book. So, so much. First, it says it’s a ‘best friend’s sister’ trope and it is, I suppose. More than that, it’s a cheating trope. Second, if Canon had died, I would’ve been satisfied. If he had just been a shitty person, I could maybe understand the cheating. Nope. Third, Kyla is one of the worst people I’ve ever read about that I was supposed to like. She was a bad person, through and through. Ugh. I have no power in my house or else I would’ve DNF’ed. This book made me angry.

The writing was fine. The ending felt a bit rushed. One minute, the characters had issues. Then, they loved each other and found peace in one another and no one was angry. Canon, the fiancé, just kind of left. Kyla didn’t care (shock). If you like a cheating trope, this book will appeal to you. If you like unlikeable characters, this book should please you. If you’re looking for a best friend’s sister trope, not here. Maddox and Tysin barely interacted besides being in a band together. If you’re interested in reading about a band, that is a detail for this book and doesn’t really matter in the scheme of things besides being the reason they are on the road together.

Oh my gosh , if I could give more than five stars to Tysin I would . So he's a ten ⭐ .
Tysin Briggs broke my heart ❤️ and then put it back together the second time around . This is something that Kyla could say but that's all me . Their story is well developed, the writing is flawless and is an easy reading . All the characters are genuine with their good and bad sides and they are totally believable .
Halfway through the book I came to the realization that the bad boy rock star is actually a good man who believed every bad thing he's been told repeatedly all his life . And that leads to wrong decisions with many consequences . Tysin thinks of himself as a selfish person but it's only for self-preservation and to not get hurt and left behind . But all this leads to just the same .
Kyla is smart , sassy and strong , very strong to have the courage to go after what she wants and needs . Even though that leads to heartbreak and despair. But don't think that she's desperate . She has the power to come back after she left and to help the people she loves . On top of everything she's good , too good . Her coming on the tour with the band is like traveling back and fixing all the wrongs not only for her but for the people she cares about and loves .
And let's not forget all those hot and spicy moments . The steam levels are of the charts that I wondered how Tysin and Kyla didn't burn something . I'd love some Tysin for myself either .

It's better to read first Sins of a Rebel so you can better understand Tysin and Kyla's story .

And that bonus epilogue just sweetened up everything .

I received an ARC of Tysin and this is my honest review .

Well I’ve been waiting for this book for so long and it was worth the wait.
Thank you for the opportunity to read it before the release date 🥹

2 years has passed since Tysin and Kyla’s summer fling. And the only thing has changed is the 💍 on her finger.
Yes, she is engaged and obviously not to Tysin.
He is still using women and alcohol to numb his feelings.

When Madden (Kyla’s brother) asks her to be their tour manager, she quickly says yes. How could she not after what he has done for her?
She is only away for 3 months but that’s enough to change her life.
I’m not going into details as I do not want to spoil anything ( although it’s probably obvious who she ends up with☺️)

As the author mentions, if you are looking for a sweet romance book, this is definitely not the right story for you then.
It’s emotional, heartbreaking, but also very sexy.
Tysin and Kyla’s relationship can be called toxic first , in my opinion. But only because he doesn’t know how to love someone. People (mainly his mum) always just used him, and told him he can’t be loved. How could he believe that he is the right person for Kyla then?
So he does everything to ruin things between them. Until he realises that she is IT for him.
Is it too late though?

It broke my heart when Kyla told him what happened to her 2 years ago. No woman should go through that!
And when we start seeing a different side of Tysin too? It is truly beautiful.

I can not recommend this book enough!
But make sure you have some tissues with you. You will need it.

Thank you Brooke, for another beautiful story❣️

I can’t wait to read Trey and Layken’s story, releasing late for 2022

Tysin and Kyla have a TON of history and a lot of pain and heartbreak between them. They have spent the last two years avoiding each other as much as the can, however, when they are share a tour bus together things are bound to happen….

The angst, the emotion, the tension I loved it all between Tysin and Kyla. The two of them know how to push the other one and they do so many times. Even with all the animosity towards each other you can still feel their connection and the chemistry that they have together. There are a lot of ups and downs when it comes to Tysin and Kyla.

I love these two characters so much. There are a lot of layers to Tysin. He is loyal to those who are close to him and loyal to him, but he also doesn’t let many people into his life. He has been hurt so much and my heart broke for him. I love Kyla, she is fierce and she can handle herself around the band. Learning more about what happened two years ago when her and Tysin were first together was absolutely heartbreaking.

If you’re looking for a brothers best friend, rockstar, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, second chance romance this is one to check out.

4.5 ⭐

Tysin and Kyla both have a very complicated relationship. To understand it better u definitely need to read the sins of a rebel novella. Long story short they started messing around in secret bc they didn't want Kylas brother who is also tysins best friend to know about them. He ends up breaking both of their hearts cause he feels like he is not good enough for her.

Now for this book. At the beginning Kyla is engaged to Connon. Without spoiling much they are both still in love with each other but now they have a love- hate relationship. They tried their hardest to stay away from each other but they were like magnets, no matter how hard they tried they would always be a pull between them.

Tysin has a very dark and sad past that keeps him from opening up to people which is why he always thought she deserved better. Kyla is also hiding something but she's mostly staying away cause she's engaged and doesn't want to her her heart broken again.

The story is beautiful written. We see them going through every stage possible, anger, sadness, denial, happiness etc. When it was the two of them alone it felt like they were the only people in the world. You can feel how much they loved each other.

Also it was very spicy 🌶🌶🌶

Content warnings for an ectopic pregnancy and loss of a fetus. (Prior to the beginning of this book, conversations about this, MC experience)

I shall preface this by saying I did not read the Sins of a Rebel prequel, and that probably impacted my thoughts on reading this book. I will say I thought this was a bully romance for about half the book (its not). Tysin was an absolute dick to everyone INCLUDING his love interest. And then he switches gears practically overnight, and now is ready to risk it all for her. The second half is much better in my opinion.

The guy you were in love with 2 years ago is in your brother’s band that you are now managing for their summer tour, you just got engaged, what could go wrong? SO MANY THINGS, it was very entertaining to say the least.

This is jam packed with tropes so if you like:
Rockstars
Forced proximity
Brother’s Best Friend
And forbidden romance because of brother’s best friend
Second Chance Romance
Found Family

And its Dual POV.

Tysin was the first book I have read from this author. This was a good time, 3.5 stars rounded down for GR. I’m curious for Trey’s and Madden’s upcoming books. I might go back and read the prequel before this book, but I will not be picking up the first in this series. I draw the line at step siblings romance.

I'm in the minority here and that's fine, but I didn't like Tysin. At all. I read the prequel and although I didn't love him there either, my heart went out to him in certain scenes. But in this book he was the ultimate douche canoe. The three starts are for Kyla and Kyla only.

Kyla has been in love with her brothers best friend, and for a while there, she thought he was in love with her too. Until he broke her heart and never looked back. Freshly graduated from college and just engaged, Kyla is helping her brothers band, she just never expected Tysin to get under her skin as well as her well constructed walls since their split. And although he did turn out to be sweet and emotional and all that Kyla needed.. i hated who he was getting to that point.

Tysin was a dick. No ifs, ands or buts about it. I got it to an extent, but how callous he was towards everyone, and Kyla in particular just rubbed me wrong. He was the very definition of toxic, and I just didn't buy is sudden personality change either. I understand that a lot of his actions stemmed from his childhood, but that doesn't make it ok to hurt other people. I'm glad that Kyla ended up happy, but that's about it.

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions **

Happy release day to this amazing book!!

Troupes:
Rockstar romance
Second chance
Brothers best friend
Forced Proximity
Sooo angsty lol

Kyla and Tysin have a past that had resulted in the breaking of Kyla’s heart. Kyla picked herself up and rebuilt her life and even got engaged.
That all chances when she gets a job offer from her brother to be the bands tour manager while they are on tour.
The only problem is Tysin will be there..

This book will have your heart racing with all the angst and tension. Kyla and Tysin have so much chemistry that after time they are just naturally drawn to each other.
This book will have you feeling a whole bunch of whirlwind emotions until the very end.
They have my heart ♥️.

"He warned me he was no good for me and would only break my heart. He had been telling me the truth all along."

4.5/5

I have been waiting for what feels like forever to hear Tysin and Kyla's story. After reading the angsty enemies to lovers book that was Brix, I couldn't wait to see what the author drummed up for book two (which did NOT disappoint!).

Tysin and Kyla have a complicated history (I highly recommend reading book 1.5 "Sins of a Rebel" as the prequel so you get the full history) and try so hard to hate each other after Tysin broke Kyla's heart. Resisting wasn't so hard until they were both put on the same tour bus together for the whole summer while A Rebel's Havoc toured the states. Tysin is not only the lead guitarist in A Rebel's Havoc, but just so happens to be best friends with Kyla's brother, Madden. Doing her brother a favor, Kyla agrees to help the band out on short notice to fill in as the band manager during their summer tour. BUT WAIT, there's more! - did I mention that SHE IS ENGAGED (no spoiler - this happens immediately in the book :) )

Tysin and Kyla play their cat and mouse games, taunting each other as they ride from city to city in small living quarters, trying their best to forget their broken past. The tug and pull of their relationship was so toxic, but so enthralling and I just could not get enough of it. I promise an HEA, but it is a ride to get there. A ride that I was more than happy to get on. Now I will be impatient until Madden comes out - EEK!

• {ᴏᴠᴇʀᴀʟʟ ᴛʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛs} The angst and tension in this book was amazinggg I was trapped into this book I literally could not stop reading. This is my first book by this author and I am obsessed, I will definitely be reading more. I can not wait for the author character’s because I already know I’m going to love their story as well. The plot had me hooked, when her brother asked her to help her out she didn’t think she would be spending months stuck together with her brothers best friend, will they reconnect or let go of the past ? Like yesss I’m gonna need to get myself the physical copies of this series. Thank you so much to wild fire marketing for letting me read this book as an ARC.
• {ᴄʜᴀʀᴀᴄᴛᴇʀs} In this book we are introduced to Tysin & Kyla. Tysin was this brooding man who believed he wasn’t worthy of Kyla’s love which lead to a heartbreak but I’m so unbelievably happy that he finally pushed himself and fought for her and their relationship. He went through such traumatic experiences that I’m glad he found a comfort in Kyla was able to express himself and finally love. Kyla could not stop her heart from reconnecting with Tysins heart which I think was so adorable like when is it my turn ? These two were so cute and so incredibly interesting to read I can’t for the next two characters!!!
• {sᴘɪᴄᴇ} hehehe yes yes yes you already know!! These two were spicyyyy.

First, I want to recommend that you read the prequel (Sins of A Rebel) before you pick up this book. Not only because the novella is a steamy and emotional read but it will help you understand the history between Tysin and Kyla that created the animosity between them.
Now, on to Tysin because OMG this story was EVERYTHING!
Tysin and Kyla jumped right back into that push and pull that was combustible but at the same time there was a different energy because of what happened two years earlier.
I wasn’t sure what I was expecting when this book started but I was so excited to see that Kyla had made a good life for herself, she didn’t let Tysin break her! But man, the tension between the two of them was thick! It was pretty tough to read at times but then the sparks were flying and I was left fanning my face.
I hated when things started to fall apart but it was that moment that allowed Tysin to show that he was able to be a better person, he wasn’t completely selfish and I loved that turning point!
This was quite an intense story but it was a great read and I got my HEA so I’m one happy girl. Now time to impatiently wait for the next one in this series.

Tysin was so good! It will take you on such an amazing emotional rollercoaster. I don't always read prequels but I did in this case and if you do anything read the prequel Sins of a Rebel. It makes it so much easier to understand the dynamic between Tysin and Kyla. On top of that it emotionally broke me so of course you should get emotionally wrecked too 😁

Tysin and Kyla have such a history to over come. He hurt her beyond words and continues to hurt her when she joins the tour. I'm not going to lie at the beginning I was so mad at Tysin for the way he treated Kyla. He makes out like their history means nothing. In a way Kyla believes the same but in the way that she thinks she meant nothing to him.

Kyla also has her relationship with her fiancé Canon that she has to maintain while out on the tour. Plus contending with her residual feelings for Tysin and being in such close proximity to him. She has to work through her feelings for both men and overcome a lot of hurdles with both.

I absolutely loved this book! Overall 5 stars easy! Plus the spice 🤌 Tysin's dirty talk is top notch and so hot! Definitely a must read!

I loved reading Brix and was anxiously waiting for Tysin’s story.
Tysin is best friends with Madden, Kyla’s brother, and have known Kyla since they were kids. He’s in the band Rebels Havoc with Madden and Brix. Kyla’s always had a crush on Tysin, but to Tysin she was off limits because she was Maddens little sister. But 2 years prior everything changed between them and they both gave into their feelings. Tysin never admitted his though and left her thinking she was just another good time and broke her heart. Not knowing she was also keeping a secret.
Now 2 years later, she’s engaged and also agrees to go on tour with Rebels Havoc for 3 months. It’s only 3 months right, what can happen? Everything!
This was a really good book and when Tysin finally opened up to Kyla about his past and let himself stop thinking he wasn’t good enough, that was the best part. I can’t wait to read Trey’s story next and I’m really excited for Madden’s.

It isn’t necessary to read Sins of a rebel (the prequel to this book ) but it’s worth it as it explains a bit of Tysin and Kylas background. A couple of years have past since that book and things have changed for both of them. I really liked Kyla she was a feisty, strong character and knew what she wanted. Tysin starts off so wonderful but time and circumstances have changed him but you will for sure love him when you understand why he was like he was. My heart broke for him - if someone tells you enough times that you are no good then you believe it. This book gave me so many emotions, my head said one thing but my heart said something else. My heart won of course as I fell in love with both of them and I was so rooting for a hea. Fantastic read with lots of passion, sadness and plenty of heat. Loved the other band members and can’t wait for their story particularly Madden ( kylas brother) he is a sweetheart. I received this arc for an honest review and job done I say.

I loved Tysin and Kyla’s story ♥️ Sin is definitely the perfect nickname for Tysin, because he is the ultimate playboy!! Sin is the lead guitarist for A Rebel’s Havoc, and also best friends with Madden, the band’s drummer. Kyla is Madden’s little sister. Her and Sin have a complicated history!! (You can get a taste of it in Sins of a Rebel 🖤). Tysin didn’t really have the best home life, so he drowns himself in “sins.” Kyla was the only girl he truly ever cared about, but he pushed her away, and severely broke her heart. Sin and Kyla haven’t seen each other in a few years, but Madden asks his sister if she can do the band a favor, and be their manager on a tour. Kyla comes back engaged this time. What will happen when these two broken people see each other again, still having unresolved feelings for one another……
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK 💙🎸

A solid addition to the series with a great ending
I loved Brix so I was really looking forward to Tysin and seeing more of the relationship we got a glimpse of in that. Do yourself a favour and grab a copy of “Sins of a Rebel” and read this first, it’s a look into the start of Tysin & Kyla’s relationship, two years prior to the events covered in Tysin.
The backstory adds depth of understanding to their story today. I really struggled to like Tysin, I get that he struggled with his feelings stemming from events in his childhood, but he was such an arsehole (was so unnecessarily mean) to Kyla, how she managed to keep loving him I’ll never know, but this story takes you through a roller coaster of emotions and shattered feelings before tying all the loose threads together in a very satisfying conclusion.

TYSIN and Kayla are a vision in this breathtaking sweet love story. The characters were fun to read and the story’s take is pretty entertaining with joy, sadness, confusion, and happiness. When two people decide to not listen to their feelings, disaster is bound to happen and the time lost is another thing coming with it. The same happened here but I’m glad circumstances gave them the second chance they both needed and did what felt right this time. It’s a lovely written story that keeps you on your toes and makes you laugh all the time. All the characters are amazing to know and the way they support us is wow.
If you are looking for a nice sweet romance with little emotional barriers then do read this one. Totally worth it.

I absolutely love a brother’s best friend book, especially when the best friend stands up to the brother and declares his love. This book was just that. My only issue was that Tysin took forever to finally decide to fight for what he wanted. Kyla having a fiance didn't help either... though they apparently weren't as solid as they thought they were. I loved these two. Kyla was just what Tysin needed to help ground him. She was everything he was missing in his life, everything he couldn't live without. The push and pull was crazy. But in the end they found their HEA. Beautiful story of love proving it is stronger than fear.

Loved This Rock Romance

This is a new to me author but I’ve become a fan. I read tons of rock romances and I have to say that I’ll have another author to follow in this genre now. Tysin and Kayla’s story was a second chance romance along with being a brother’s best friend and this book clicked on all accounts. I loved the drama and the angst these two brought. With Tysin being hurt many times in his life he kept his inner circle tight but Kayla was not about to let that stop her especially now that she was on tour with the band. I just loved the connection they had.

I recommend this book and now I have to go back and read others stories from Ms. O’Brien. Kudos to her on a rock romance that I fell in love with.

Holy moly!! This book gave me ALL.THE.FEELS!! Tysin is the ultimate bad boy while Kyla is the sweetheart. Their chemistry is unlike anything I’ve ever read. I experienced every emotion reading this story & it was worth every bit of it. I do wish we got more of their future life together but Brix’s book was the same way. Hopefully once Madden is released as the last book in the series she’ll wrap everyone’s stories up, too so we can see them living their HEA for years to come.

Another wonderful book by Brooke O’Brien!

Tysin and Kyla have know each other since childhood. Two years ago they had a spicy summer that ended bad. Tysin’s band is about to go on tour and needs a last minute manager. Tysin’s band mate ask his his to step in….of course that’s Kyla. Kyla might be engaged to someone else now, but her heart belongs to Tysin. As the tour goes on the cat and mouse game gets on its way. Do these two truly belong together? Can they tell each other their deep down secrets to move on and have a happily ever after ending? The was a great quick read and I really enjoyed all the characters. This was an enjoyable emotional read and I look forward to learning more about these band mates.

“I swear on all that’s good and holy, there’s nothing quite like Tysin’s dirty talk.”

All I can say is that Kyla is a very lucky girl. LOL. This book is by far my favorite of the series. Brother’s best friend, summer fling, steamy & forbidden rockstar romance, close proximity, ANGST and enemies to lovers?! Sign me up.

Kyla and Tysin’s angsty banter is so good and from the quote I put at the beginning, he lives up to it. That man has a mouth and the spice scenes were so good 🔥

Definitely my favorite book from the series and I can’t wait for the rest of them 💛

Tysin by Brooke O'Brien is book 2in The Rebel Havoc Rockstar romance series. Kyla is Madden's (Rebel Havoc's drummer), little sister, while Tysin, nicknamed "Sin," is the band's lead guitarist and a known player. They are friends who cross the line and have a secret relationship that ends with shattered hearts and secrets that leave brokenness in its wake. This book! OMG, it's a "must read"! The emotional impact renders the reader spellbound until the last word is written! I can't wait to read Trey's next book in The Rebel Havoc series. I recommend reading any of Brooke O'Brien's books. She delivers a great book-Every-Single-Book-She-Writes!

NOTE: Before reading this book, I encourage you to read the prequel "Sins of a Rebel" because it will give you a better insight into this story but it can definitely be read without reading the prequel.

I just knew there was more to Tysin and why he doesn't think he can be loved. Tysin pushes Kyla away because he thinks he doesn't deserve her. Two years later, they are pushed together and try their best to hate each other but it's not possible. Tysin finally figures out that he has spent too much time running from how he truly felt and let's himself accept what he truly feels for Kyla. Can't wait for Trey's story.

This book is a good example of rocky relationships and that they happen to the best of us, but what you do because of it helps defy who you are.Tysin has a rocky relationship with Kyla and is a jerk to her but at the end, he defys how their relationship should be. It is an addicting story just like Brix so hold on and get ready for a ride.

Beautifully written story. Kyla and Tysin have great tension that kept you on your toes. There was emotion, swoon-worthy moments, drama, and spice. Loved every minute of it! Bonus that it is a brother's best friend trope, which is my absolute favorite!

*Highly recommend reading Sin of Rebel first. It's gives you a little more of a backstory for Kyla and Tysin.
