I bought the parcslope laptop stand because it was low, sturdy and stable. I wanted it to increase airflow under my 15 inch Dell laptop to help prevent it from over-heating.
This is a bit pricey pricey, but well worth it in my opinion. I paid $59.99 for this stand directly from Amazon. There is an older version of the parc slope with completely different dimensions, and a different design. This one holds a 15 inch Dell laptop. It is the larger version. There are vendors on Amazon still selling the older version of the parc slope, which has been discontinued by the manufacturer.
I looked at a number of laptop stands before deciding to purchase this one. I wanted to make sure my laptop was not going to fall off of the stand and break. That was my primary concern. This stand has anti skid padding on the bottom of the stand. On the top, it has a anti slip padding. It is soft and substantial. I paid a hefty sum for one of my laptops, and wanted to make sure the laptop stand was not going to scratch the underside of my laptop. This also has a raised anti-slip lip near the front of the laptop stand to help prevent the laptop from sliding around.
The stand itself is made from a solid metal. There is nothing flimsy about the construction of this stand. I expect this stand to last for years.
The stand is elevated just enough to help me see the screen better, but not so much that I have to worry about my laptop breaking if it falls off the stand. This was the perfect laptop stand for me. I highly recommend it.
