I'm an accountant and financial auditor with a passion for strategy games, flight sims and city builders. I love writing about organizations and broad civilization arcs, and started writing Tree to satisfy my need for a long form 4X story

It’s a great continuation and I love the world. It does need editing; there is heavy verb tense confusion that throws off the pacing until the reader gets in the habit of mentally substituting the correct word. It is usually dialogue written in past tense when is should be present tense.
Massive cliffhanger at the end. Looking forward to the next one

Excellent continuation of the series!! MC is cunning but logical, the other cast members were good and build up the MC. World building is by far the best. Unique take on heroes and demons!

Great story love the uniqueness of such a long form protagonist. Only issue I have is some grammatical errors and duplicate words/phrases that pop up. Can’t wait for next book!

I like it. All of the characters are well developed and interesting. I also like how the power system is put together.

Much smoother than the previous volume in terms of pacing and character development. Whereas before I had only a passing interest in the side characters, this volume has done a lot to make me feel invested in them.

Writing quality continues to improve as time goes on, and I’m quite interested to see how the next volume proceeds.

I love this series,, its engaging and the RTS aspects are fun. However,, at times this book does feel like an endorsement for fascism but its an immortal tree not a power hungry human so I give it a pass. He literally sees and knows all total nanny state but the people are happy?

One main character. Okay for teens. Fast paced story. Want to see more in this series. Hope to see more soon.

A fun read, but I almost had to stop in the middle when the grammar got really bad. If you enjoyed the first one. You'll like this one, but I found the grammar to be much more distracting in this one.

This was intense. Honestly I can’t get enough. Wasn’t expecting the end. I’m like a complacent citizen of New Freeka.

After the first book, I was eager to read this one and it did not disappoint, in contrary. The last action is incredible and reshuffles all the cards. Can't wait to read this unfold ...

4.0 out of 5 stars Good story, but the typos got really bad

Good things first.
I really like the story. I'm enjoying it a lot, it has a nice balance of combat, politics, game stuff, and the characters are likeable and distinct.
Will definitely continue.

Bad stuff.
From book 1 to book 2, the narrative style is a bit halting and stilted. I thought it was an author choice initially, but this book I can now see it's lack of proof reading and editing.
The typos get really bad about halfway through, and then names of things, places and skills start getting changed. I assume these are just clear typos that were then not fixed. Then it starts happening in dialogue which made some sections difficult to figure out what was happening.

Hopefully this improves with a bit of TLC, and still giving 4/5 as this is really fun to read so far!
