Editorial Reviews

Review

By Dr.Edelstein, Pediatric dentistFinally a children's book that explains teeth in an entertaining and scientifically accurate way - complete with engaging illustrations and clever text. Terrific.

From the Author

I've been concerned that much of children's dental literature, while entertaining and engaging, isn't up to date with the science. These edutainment books meet that need. Totie the Molar series is a literature-based curriculum designed to reflect guidelines from recognized dental authorities on children'sdental health. Preschoolers and elementary-graders will love reading about Totie, the funny tooth who gets confusedeasily, while they learn how to love their teeth and take care of them.

Books in series;
1-Totie the Molar (Types of teeth and how they function)
2-Totie and the Hungry Sugar Bugs (Bacteria, Sweets and Cavities)
3-Totie at Camp Brushies (All about brushing)
4-Totie and Flossy Floss (All about flossing) 5-Totie visits Dr.Kool (coming soon)

I love how this book explains the type of teeth we have and what they all do in an easy way for children to understand. This is a very helpful tool for illuminating the unknowns that most parents have to explain to their kids with regards to tooth and gum health. Our kids enjoy brushing their teeth, but thoroughly understanding the WHY is even better! Book 2 drives home healthy eating and cleaning habits which I love even more! Looking forward to the entire series.

My 4 year old was fascinated by all the teeth in the story and kept asking me to read the book again and again. It's such a great children's book that is not only fun to read, but teaches the kids about the teeth and their functions. I think this is a book that every child should read!

Totie the Molar by Hosam Alrqiq is a delightful book for kids to learn all about teeth. A clever way to learn the names of the teeth, number, what they are used for, what they are made up of, and all in a way kids can understand. Adorable illustrations throughout to follow the information. Great little book.

My daughter recently had to have a lot of dental surgery, just 5 years old. So this book series really helped her understand what is happening to her teeth, and also how to take good care of them. I love these books. :)
