The first book in a long time that I have sat and read in one sitting.....and it wasn't enough...I wanted more!!!! Kendall Montgomery has been best friends with Cami St. James since childhood and has harbored a crush on Cami's brother, Ryan, for just about as long. She knows he is dedicated to his work and they might as well be complete opposites. When Cami asks Kendall to go up to her family's cabin and get it ready for Cami and Eli's honeymoon she doesn't hesitate to do it. Adding Ryan to the mix had Kendall feeling and wondering all types of things. Ryan St. James is one dedicated doctor and having worked during the pandemic he suffers from a bit of PTSD and chooses to focus solely on his work and leaves no room for personal time. When his best friend asks him to accompany Kendall to his family's cabin he is hesitant but decides to go since it is suppose to be just a couple days trip and then he can return to his one love, his work. Kendall and Ryan arrive at the cabin in the midst of a snowstorm and end up stranded together. As the days go by Kendall ends up confiding in Ryan things she has never told anyone before and he is the same with her. When she suggests a way they can pass the time Ryan is all in. This is one of the steamiest reads I have read in quite some time. On the surface Kendall and Ryan seem like the most incompatible couple ever until their truths start appearing. Ryan realizes Kendall is nothing like he always thought she was, a spoiled princess. Kendall starts to understand Ryan much more and understands why he chose to be a doctor. Once their walls are down they cannot get enough of each other. Kennedy Fox has done it yet again with a story that grips your attention from page one and you cannot put it down. Who Ryan and Kendall turn out to be was not where I thought this story was going to go and I LOVED it! They built up what will be the next story in the series so well I don't want to wait for it (which is actually what they are good at).

Wow, this is an amazing read, it’s a steamy hot enemies to lovers book and it’s Kendall and Ryan’s story. Ryan and Kendall have know each other all their life in fact Kendall is Ryan’s sister’s best friend so she was always around but Ryan sees her as a wealthy princess and it’s only when they get snowed in together do they really get to know the real people behind the faces. Stuck together with no power and not much else to do but explore each other leads to so much more but what will happen when the power comes back on and the snow is gone ...... Ryan us a doctor and this book is set a year from now so it touched on life in the pandemic we have lived in this year, it’s well written with adorable characters and a great story, if you are looking for an entertaining read that will really lift your spirt look no further than The Best of Us, you won’t be disappointed. This book captivated me and it was read in one sitting and I’m excited for the next instalment in the Love in Isolation Series.

I was anxiously waiting to listen to Ryan and Kendall’s story. Kendall is stranded with best friend’s brother in a snowstorm. Absolutely perfect story to listen to while I look outside and all I see is snow this time of year. These two have the biggest hearts of gold and were made to make a difference in the world. Their constant passion and sacrifice to help others was a refreshing change from a lot of books I read. The attraction didn’t take long before gave in to a fling but as we all know, there is no such things as a fling between two that are meant to be together. This leaves you on a hook into what I’m assuming will be Kendall’s sister’s story. One I’m excited to see what happens. This had love, humor and very hot scenes.
