I cannot find the new SSD in my system, what should I do?
New SSDs are usually blank. User will need to initialize the new drive and format it after allocating the new volume in disk management.
The new drive is smaller than advertised capacity.
The advertised capacity is using 1GB = 1 billion bytes and 1TB = 1 trillion bytes. Actual user capacity may be less depending on OS.
I do not see the advertised RAM speed in my system
By default, a newly installed ram kit speed will be limited to JEDEC standard. To run at the advertised speed, please enable and change your XMP profile in BIOS.

Customer reviews
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Learn more how customers reviews work on AmazonCustomers say
Customers like the speed, installation, value, and space of the computer drive. For example, they mention that it's easy to install, performs excellently, and has a great price for a 2TB SSD. That said, opinions are mixed on quality, fit, and temperature.
AI-generated from the text of customer reviews
Customers like the speed of the computer drive. They mention that it's amazing, the game loads in less than a second, and the performance is excellent. They also say that load times are down 28%, and startup is faster by 45%. Customers also say it makes sure everything runs smooth.
"...That being said this is a affordable SSD and it is legit in speed...." Read more
"I bought this at prime day. The speed is fast...." Read more
"...Speeds are noticeably (but not by much) faster, that the built-in drive...." Read more
"...The speed does decrease quite a bit once the slc cache gets exhausted but recovery is very quick. I'm very happy and its a great price for a 2TB SSD...." Read more
Customers find the installation of the computer drive to be easy. They mention that the instructions are simple to follow, and the heat spreader is easy to install. Some say that the drive loads games with super speed and that formatting the drive was easy enough.
"...I found an installation video for the XPG (after) and it looks easy. I'll update my review another day" Read more
"super easy to install and now I can finally play my video games. :-)" Read more
"...At the end of the day, formatting the drive was easy enough, and using crystal disk benchmark I am getting close to the 7000mb speeds as advertised,..." Read more
"This SSD is easy to install and allows me to have so many more games downloaded at one time, which saves me the trouble of deciding which game to..." Read more
Customers like the value of the computer drive. For example, they say it's a great price for a 2TB SSD, and a quality product compared to the price.

"...Needed more storage space on my ps5 and this 2tb drive did the job. Great price!" Read more
Customers like the space provided by the computer drive. They say it's a great expanded storage option for their PS5, with great performance, capacity, and value for money. The slc cache is pretty big on this drive, so you're not going to see big speed. It's an easy way to add memory, and is a steal for the amount of storage and speed you get. Customers also mention that it fits the PS5 perfectly and has plenty of room to reinstall the dust cover.
"...The slc cache is pretty big on this drive so your not going to see big speed decreases very often unless your pushing some huge files to drive often..." Read more
"...SSD (at the time of purchase) is only 129.99, which is a steal for the amount of storage and speed you get...." Read more
"...The added space is great and the speed is amazing. Went from a 512GB Gen3 NVME and this one blows it out of the water...." Read more
"...heat sink not fitting in the PS5, but this isn’t true… there is plenty of space. Overall it appears to be of top quality and is behaving just fine...." Read more
Customers are mixed about the quality of the computer drive. Some mention that it works amazing, is super fast, and flawlessly. However, others say that it failed on them twice, underperformed, and the heatsink is inadequate.
"...Worked like a charm and I was able to install it my first try...." Read more
"Heat sink version works brilliantly in the PS5, intentionally WITHOUT the slot cover (read below)...." Read more
"...into it, and the PS5 will take 5 minutes to boot and will no longer detect the drive at all. So both of my drives are dead...." Read more
"...So anyways i received the drive and its working great...." Read more
Customers are mixed about the fit of the computer drive. Some mention that it fits perfectly and runs great, while others say that the M2 slot on PS5 and the heat sink is too big.
"...It fits clean under the system's outer shell, which is all that actually matters for space sake...." Read more
"...By default this will not fit into the PS5 as the included heatsink is too tall, and the product description says that the heatsink cannot be removed...." Read more
"I bought this to upgrade my ps5 storage, it fit and works smooth, love it, I have no issues with it...." Read more
"...heat sink onto the memory chip stuck out just enough to make it a very tight fit...." Read more
Customers are mixed about the temperature of the computer drive. Some mention that the built-in heatsink helped to tame the temperatures, while others say that it runs hot and traps heat. The heat sink provided seems very minimal.
"...No heat issues using ROG M.2 stock mobo heatsinks.Speeds seem incredible, though I have not benchmarked them...." Read more
"...Moreover, the drive will run HOTTER than intended and likely begin to fail (run noticeably slower, until no longer accessing some, then any data)..." Read more
"Easy to install. Comes with thermal pad to use instead of heat sink. Decent speeds made moving and playing games super easy" Read more
"...is too tall, and the product description says that the heatsink cannot be removed. That is only partially true...." Read more
Customers are dissatisfied with the durability of the hard drive. They mention that it dies randomly, causes their PlayStation 5 to crash, and blows out quickly. Some say that the drive only lasted 5 months before it died.

There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
Now (after installing a different m.2 SSD, Windows 10 again, and transferring all my files), ADATA SSD Toolbox sees the S70 drive as "MN-5236"; indicates firmware is latest version; total bytes written as 0.00TB. Windows 10 sees it as "Unknown"; 2.0 GB unallocated; not initialized. My BIOS sees it a 2.0 GB and "Unknown".
By the time I got my system back up and running, the Amazon 30 day return window was past. I followed, as best I could, the Amazon Customer Service directions to submit a claim to Adata on their website. I have attempted to submit that claim dozens of times over the last 2-3 weeks. At first, I just thought their site was having repairs or temporary problems. It would say an "error" was encountered and to "try again later". To Amazon's discredit, they have not followed up as they promised and they are unavailable to help any further!
The S70 worked perfectly until it just "disappeared"; the product MAY, if you get one without a problem, be a decent SSD, but the seller, Adata, is not in the business of backing their product when there IS a problem; it is as if they are hiding! I strongly urge anyone considering the S70 Blade to pay a bit more and stick with a company that thinks enough of their name to at least be available to deal with customer warranty issues. Further, be advised not to count on Amazon for any meaningful assistance beyond the 30 day return window; they appear to be hiding, too. (I bought my replacement SSD from Best Buy at a physical store!)
