As far as damage over time, the only thing I've noticed is that my "A" key has slight wear on the left side of the key. Which in my eyes is a true testament to the build quality. If it can put up with all the abuse for years and only show wear on one key, I can't recommend any other product.
Icue: I have my "F1, F2, F3" keys set to monitor internal temps of my PC. Which as trivial as it sounds is a great spot check during long gaming or stress test situations.
The lighting controls on this board are not limited to zones like the K55 giving unlimited control and customization.
All in all, out of all the keyboards I've used this one is by far the best.

1. The Spacebar and general key sounds are not great.
If you are new to keyboards and such, this may not be something you think of, but the sound a keyboard makes - especially a mechanical one - can make all the difference in how good a keyboard is perceived to be. The sounds this board makes are, admittedly not great. I am not completely sure of what this may be due to, but I believe it is either improperly lubed switches and other parts, or a hollow chassis/board. For something like the spacebar, the most common key, you can even hear the spring actuating when you press it. For anyone who didn't understand what any of that meant, go watch a youtube video about keyboard sounds, and look up videos of different sounds with and without proper lubing and casing, then process how much it matters to you, and what you think of this.
2. The Keycaps get shiny and greasy, REALLY greasy.
Despite being someone who washes their hands and cleans them constantly, this keyboards caps will get greasier than many others. Since keyboards mainly use 2 types of plastic, ABS (lower quality feeling, less grease), and PBT (higher quality, will get more slick over time), and this uses PBT, it becomes more of an issue as time goes on. While this alone is that bad, as for most, you can simply wash the keycaps, these keycaps LOVE shine and grease. Every time I have cleaned and every method I have used will not clean these keycaps, and I am eternally damned with a gross feeling and looking keyboard.
Despite the harsh review this may seem to be, I love this keyboard, and it is a fantastic keyboard for someone building or changing a setup, and works very well overall
P.S.
iCue is a pretty bad software, but there are ways to deal with that, just disable the SDK functions to save more RAM and CPU/GPU usage, and google to to make macros and user profiles for more personalized use, you can figure it out pretty quick, I believe in you!
