I use this iron for sewing and for personal executive clothing. I love my iron. It never has leaked and I’ve had it five years. The instructions clearly state not to overfill the iron (past the Max fill line). That’s why some people’s Rowenta iron leaks. If you follow the instructions, it will perform perfectly.
I am so fed up with Rowenta irons. The first one of these leaked before a year was out. I thought, okay, otherwise it is a really good iron. So, I bought another. Within 2 months, it started leaking worse than the first iron. It is so frustrating to iron something white, only to have water leaks stain the garment. On dark items it is not a problem, but we have a lot of white things, so we continuously have to re-wash and re-iron. Save your time, and money, as Rowenta irons are very expensive to boot.
