Shure's Miniature Lavalier Wireless Mics

Shure's WL185 is a lavalier electret condenser microphone designed for use with the company's wireless bodypack transmitters. Each microphone has a 1.2-meter (4-foot) cable terminated with a miniature 4-pin mini connector. The mic's furnished tie clip can be rotated in 90° intervals for placement flexibility. The WL185 is a cardioid mic, so it's great for general purpose sound reinforcement applications requiring good rejection of ambient noise. If you're searching for a high-performance lav mic, the WL185 is a terrific choice.

For the price and quality you can't beat it.

Having used this microphone for a few months now, I am quite pleased with my purchase. It picks up my voice well, has plenty of range for our application, sounds good and was easy to install, and set up with very little fuss. I would recommend this microphone and if needed would buy it again.

After many years of using the over-the-ear wireless mics for those speaking parts in the church liturgy, we've gone back to one of the Lavalier style.

When the user of the mic is wearing glasses, which can cause slipping or constant adjusting, the "original" but greatly improved lavalier style is a plus. And, without realizing it until we started using - the quality of sound improved - no feedback when the user walked close to one of the speakers, and we've been told a more "natural" blending sound - sometimes the over the ear mic came across too loud if the speaker had not adjusted the mic.

In short, a welcome back addition to the array of Shure wireless products we use in a very old large historic edifice that provides quality at the right price, and quality assistance and support from Sweetwater.

It works great!! No more static during mass

I use this on the minister and the groom and it really pics up great. If it is a windy day you want to put it under the tie to pick up less wind. Great microphone
