D.J. Bodden is a science fiction and fantasy writer and the creator of the FiveFold Universe. He writes underdog characters who beat their opponents through wits and hard work, who rely on their teams, and who pursue a good grudge to the end of the galaxy.
As a former Marine helicopter pilot, globetrotting coffee trader, and tech startup entrepreneur, he brings real details about tactics, engineering, and economics to his stories. His books are even better the second time through.
D.J. lives in Switzerland with his wife, and when not working or writing likes to game, read, and cook

Bill grew up in West Tennessee, riding his bike on narrow rural roads lined with wild blackberry bushes, in the days before urban sprawl. He spent those long rides dreaming of new worlds of adventure. Childhood for him was one interesting activity after another, from front yard football to naval miniatures, but from the very beginning reading was the central pillar of his life.
Any and all military history books fascinated him, beginning before age 8. By his teenage years he had discovered J.R.R. Tolkien and Robert E. Howard, Robert Heinlein and Fritz Leiber. Teachers ripped comic books out of his hands during Spanish and Accounting class. Oops!
After majoring in Creative Writing in college, he turned to writing history and non-fiction and was published a number of times, including in World War Two magazine.
In September of 2014 he wrote the first pages of what would become Standing The Final Watch, and its prequels and sequels in the Last Brigade Universe. Thus, at age 60, his career in fiction had just begun.
Still living in West Tennessee with his wife of 42 years and 8 dogs, four of which are Search and Rescue certified police dogs, life has turned out better than he could ever have dreamed. Yet Bill never forgets that it is you, his readers, who make this possible. There is a covenant between writer and reader that is always uppermost in his mind. Readers who spend their time and money to read an author's works, deserve the best that author has to offer, and he never forgets that.
Bill is proud to be a member of the International Authors of Science Fiction Authors, the Science Fiction Writers of America, the Society For Military History and the Alliance of Independent Authors. Melissa Olthoff grew up on Star Trek, Star Wars and pretty much every Arnold Schwarzenegger movie ever made. She was lucky enough to have an amazing dad that supported her out-of-control reading addiction - and her goal of joining the military. In 2005, she commissioned as an US Air Force officer and briefly achieved her dream of becoming a pilot. While she loved flying, her ears did not, so she cross-trained into Airfield Operations where she spent the rest of her military career. Her last assignment was Seymour Johnson AFB, a F-15E Strike Eagle base. She swore she wouldn’t date a fighter pilot, but accidentally left a loophole and ended up marrying one. She now works as an accountant (seriously) to pay the bills and her husband flies cargo. They like to joke that they used to be cool, and do cool things. Then they had children. They currently live in Tennessee with two kids and two oversized German Shepherds.
With a face for radio and a voice for silent movies, writing was his only recourse.
R. Kyle Hannah is a self-professed geek and lover of most things sci-fi. He began writing in high school as an outlet for an overactive imagination. Those humble beginnings, combined with real life experiences from a 29-year career in the Army, have spawned over a dozen full-length adventures and numerous short stories.
His 2019 release, Harvest Day, won Best Sci-Fi Novel at the 2020 Imadjin Awards.
He was named One of the 50 Great Writers You Should be Reading by the Author’s Show in 2016. He is also the winner of two Pinnacle Book Awards (Time Assassins and The Jake Cutter Conspiracy).
“Reminiscent of Arthur C. Clarke” is how Writer’s Digest describes his first novel, To Aid and Protect.
He is a founder and Vice President of Jumpmaster Press. www.jumpmasterpress.com.
He lives in the suburbs of Birmingham, Alabama with his wife, children, and two dogs.

Growing up in Europe during the height of the cold war and then serving in a Marine SOC (Special Operations Capable) Battalion during the collapse of Communism provided a lot of life experience and a unique perspective on life and the world. The first novel he read was Jules Vern's 'Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea' when he was ten and has been reading ever since.
Before the Marines he was a pocket protector wearing nerd, after the Marines he held jobs as a Security officer/Patrol Sergeant, Lieutenant and other odd specialized jobs like body guard or surveillance, and ended up brushing off the pocket protector to become a Computer Consultant.
These days he dreams of quitting his day job as a computer consultant to work full time as a writer and dad.

Casey Moores was an Air Force Academy graduate and rescue/special ops C-130 pilot for over 17 years- airdropping, air refueling, and flying into tiny blacked-out dirt airstrips in bad places using night vision goggles. He’s been to those places and done those things with those people. Now he lives a quieter life, translating those experiences to military science fiction, fantasy, alternate history, and post-apocalyptic fiction. With seven novels and over twenty published short stories, his biggest challenge is focusing on any one genre. Or focusing on anything at all, really.
Casey is the winner of the Imaginarium Imadjinn Awards Best Historical Fiction for Witch Hunt, a story about monster hunting marines in the Civil War from Three Ravens Publishing’s JTF-13 series. The prequel story, “Blood Sacrifice”, was published in the Helicon award-winning JTF-13 Legends anthology.
For Chris Kennedy Publishing, he has written in the Four Horsemen universe with numerous nov-els and short stories, primarily about Bull and his black ops rescue company. He also has a novel, The Guilted Cage, set in the Fallen World universe at his alma mater, the Air Force Academy, as well as short stories in the Fallen World and Salvage System universes.
Finally, he has numerous stories out in his Deathmage War fantasy series, two of which—“A Quaint Pastime” and “The Unwanted Legion”—were finalists in the annual FantaSci fantasy story contest.
He is currently developing the Blood & Armor series, a near future military science fiction series with Bill Fawcett.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of these to flesh out more of the rest of the world not directly involved in the Brigades primary story.
