WOW!! Ms. Annie nailed it again!!!! This book rocked my world!!!
Ashes to Memories started where book 4 in the series left off. With all the things that happened to Nicola, Kyle is still there for his wife (this made me fall in love with him more!!). Things will get complicated as the story goes and it keeps getting better and better. There are parts that made me want to scream because of the freaking villains and made me cry to some characters. This book will make you feel like in you're a rollercoaster ride but still loved it!!!
This book is a must read!!!! (You might want to read the 4th book before starting this tho).

Ashes to Memories (Ashes to Ashes Book 5)
by Annie Anderson

☆☆☆5 stars☆☆☆

To all that's sacred and spiritual, this series
and the family steamrolling through it, is the epitome of everything awesome in the paranormal book world. Annie Anderson is my Paranormal Queen, and she amazes me at every turn!

Nicola is still up in arms over her memories, wondering how a man so enduring like Kyle, can remain by her side, knowing what he knows about her. All Kyle sees is Nicola. His life is hers. We could all be so lucky to have that kind of eternal love in our hands.

Just when they think they have a minute of solace, the biggest threat to date, rears its ugly head. Nicola will do anything to protect her family, even if it means sacrificing herself in the process, which Kyle won't allow. Over his dead body!

They set out to save what's theirs, discover truths and lies, and an explosive secret is revealed, bringing Kyle to his knees. Per usual, it's nonstop drama and action, keeping you fighting, right along with your favorite misfit family.

A couple times my heart may have stopped, and I could be heard screaming at my kindle, "She better make it right!". That's when you know the story has you in its magical grips! I'm fanatical about this series and it's brilliance!

Oh how I love this series. All the colorful characters are like old friends and family. Annie Anderson has created such a unique and amazing paranormal world for our reading enjoyment and I know I will be rereading this series in the future. Kyle and Nicola's story still needs more time to be told and this book does just that. The previous cast of characters are back as well as some new ones too. So much happens your mind will be blown. Action, adventure, good vs. evil, love, loss, loyalty, friendship, family, hot sex, magic, wraiths, witches, phoenix, cougar, wolves, and lots of suspense. This entire series will suck you in and you want want to leave. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Still want a TV series of this!!!

So much...

So much heartache, so much pain but so much love...it balanced itself out perfectly! You get all of the usual gang and a few extra folks, some who are either downright evil or worth redemption. The ending is so worth it and so unexpected!

Let me start off by saying the Ashes to Ashes series is one of only 3 paranormal series that I read. Being on a blog we are always looking for new books and when we found the first book, Scattered Ashes, it seemed interesting and well a friend suggested it, so I read it. With each new installment I fall a little more in love with the fictional world that author, Annie Anderson has created.

Now on to Ashes to Memories. Nicola and Kyle's story was one that needed more time to be told. When last we met her, Nicola was still struggling with the evil that the woman who had possession of her body had done, while in her skin. In this book, she is trying to recover from her past and regain her own memories. Being a seer, she is never only aware of her story, but she is often shown the future of those around her. Sometimes knowing is more than she can handle.

Through all of the turmoil and Nicola's lack of personal memories, Kyle holds strong as her mate. He protects and supports her through it all. She may not remember every detail of their life together, but she deny can't the love and chemistry between them. Try though she might, she can't keep Kyle away, even if it is for his own good.

This book....Gah!!! The writing, the evolution of the story and all of the bits that make up this book stole my heart away. I can't exactly pinpoint what made this book so much better in my mind than the others, but I will say I am in love with it. Scattered Ashes may still be my favorite, but that is truly because I have a bit of a girl crush on Aurelia. Ashes to Memories, for me is the whole package. The love between Nicola and Kyle. The interaction between Nicola and the others in the series. More of her past revealing itself. The high tensions of eminent war. All of it had me on the edge of my seat and glued to my Kindle.

There is one part in particular that I not only wanted to scream at my kindle "Why?", I also felt great sadness. The sadness had it's moment, but thankfully the author remembered to give us an HEA and I was once again in love with the story until the end. If you are looking for a book that offers not only all of the feels, but a well written exciting story, than you must read Ashes to Memories.

Yes, I read an ARC of this book, but I loved it so much I one-clicked a copy to add to my collection of beloved books. I happily rate this book 5 stars.

Ashes to Memories picks up where Smoldering Ashes leaves us. We see Nicola and Kyle trying to forge ahead with their life but sadly life isn't always easy in a family of Etherials.

Nicola is struggling with her memory and her sight. Guilt eats at her when she sees Kyle. She wonders why he would still love her after all she did even if it truly wasn't her? As the pieces of her world fall into place she discovers some unlikely allies in her midst. Determined to keep her misfit family safe she will make sacrifices all in the name of good.

Kyle has always loved Nicola. She is a vital part of his soul and he will never give up on her. He always has the constant worry that he isn't enough for her and that he doesn't have what it takes to keep her safe. When another threat looms they set out for answers only to discover that certain choices from his past come to his present life. Things he never even knew about.

I anticipated this story so much. I needed to know how Nicola and Kyle played out. I've always loved Kyle. He is such a sweet loving badarse. He will go to great lengths to protect his woman and his makeshift family. Nicola plain and simple is an awesome chick. Despite what she endures she never gives up. She will always right her wrongs and fight on the side of good.

I tried to make this book last but sadly I devoured in less than 2 days. I have always loved this whole series and It always gets me out of my book funks. Annie Anderson keeps you intrigued from start to finish. I need more!!

This is the fifth and last book in this series. Nicola is back in her body but is having trouble. She is constantly being assault by memories. She is dealing with the guilt of things Iva did while in her body. Kyle is happy to have his wife back even if she can’t remember how they began. Protecting Nicola is a full-time job. He worries that he may not be able to do it. They aren’t done being in danger. With Nicola unable to remember everything they could be in more danger than ever. I can’t say enough about this series. I love all the characters so much. When I learned this would be the last book in the series I had to slow down my reading and make it last. There will be a spin off series for Max and some of the other characters. I feel for all the characters as they have been through so much and while to they find love and have lives they always seem to be in danger and at risk of losing everything they have found. Nicola is an amazing character. She doesn’t let not remembering stop her. Kyle gets a few surprises during this book. I can’t wait for the spin off series. I love how all the characters come together are there for each other no matter what. They may not all be blood family but they are a family none the less. Congrats on another fantastic book Annie.
I was given this book in return for an honest review.

In a world enveloped in pain and suffering and with a future that is unclear, there is one thing that is certain... love is worth dying for.

Nicola and Kyle's world has already been turned upside down. They were torn apart and fought hard to overcome the evil that kept them from each other. Now that they are finally back together and trying to work through the horrific events that happened, evil is knocking at the door once again.

Haunted by horrific dreams and visions of death Nicola struggles to hold on to her sanity. She may not remember her past or Kyle but she'll do everything she can to protect him and the people she loves.

Kyle loves Nicola with all his heart and soul. She may not remember him or their love but he'll never give up on her. Patient and determined Kyle stands by Nicola's side helping her cope with her inner turmoil. Coming face to face with the evil that wants Nicola dead is the last thing he wants to do. With no choice Kyle prepares for a battle he may not be able to win but he'll risk it all to protect the ones he loves and save the world.

I loved Nicola and Kyle's story. I can't believe this is the end of the series. I will miss the Ashes to Ashes world but I must say this was a great ending to a wonderful series.

WARNING!! Contains Spoliers!

The only complaint that I have about Annie Anderson's books in this series is this: You want to read them as fast as possible in order to find out what happens, but you also want to read as slow as possible to get every detail & nuance!

This is another amazing story of Phoenixes, wraiths, witches, shifters......you get the idea. Nicola is finally recovering after being possessed by the evil Iva. Her mate, Kyle, is trying to help her to remember who he is (and who she is!). Bring on the twists.....finding a daughter you never knew about, looking for a mother who abandoned you 300 years ago, evil villains who kill innocents in order to absorb their power......there is so much going on that it's hard to keep track!

I love Ms. Anderson's writing style and her irreverent attitude. Her characters are kickass, take no prisoners heroes and heroines. As I said earlier, you have to make yourself slow down in your reading or you will miss a lot! Love, love, love these books! I hope that Ms. Anderson has many more adventures planned for this "family" of supernaturals!

So... what can I say? I loved this book just doesn't seem to have enough weight behind it. It doesn't do the feelings and emotions due justice. There is so much that happens... it's like watching your favorite movie in your head as you read.

Nicola and Kyle are a mates pair that truly make my heart happy. (I love them all but.... Sasquatch stole a piece of my heart. Don't judge me. Rhys is still my favorite!!) the dynamics between them, the love and the epic amounts of attitude make them the couple not to piss off. Fire and Ice. That's what I think of with them.

Kyle is the kind of man, the Wraith that has eyes only for his girl and is as cold as ice when it comes to the ones that do her wrong. Period! Daggers up, heads roll... haha Nicola is just as bad... she'll burn those pretty little eyes right out of you even dare hurt her man.

They are the dynamic duo who knows no bounds. They live, laugh, love and fight side by side. Fire and sword. When the devil himself comes knocking, they answer the door, flip him the bird and give him one helluva fight.

Question is... who comes out of the fight snuffing out flames and who floats away on a pile of ash...

This is the story of Nicola and Kyle after they have returned to their cabin in the woods.
Nicola still has no memory of the time before she woke in the hospital, but one thing she does know she loves her husband Kyle more than life itself.
When Talia (the young werewolf) knocks on the cabin door without triggering Kyles wards, she's covered in blood. Has an eye swollen shut with bruises all over her body.
After touching the young girl Nicola starts bleeding out of her eyes, ears and is throwing up blood, all at the same time. Kyle transports all three of them to the compound of her cousins. Aurelia, Cam, Mena, West, Evangeline, Aden, Max and Asher are all there.
After a bracelet is removed from Talia that was suppressing all magic, its discovered that Baron and Bella were behind all of this. They want to bring back their mother who is dead.
Annie Anderson takes you on so many twist and turns in this novel that until you get to the end you won't believe what has really happened. I highly recommend this series and this book to everybody.
I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Ashes to Memories is the fifth book in the Ashes to Ashes series and is a paranormal. Annie Anderson is a genius to have created this world. It is probably my second favorite book in this series. The first book being the best. Ashes to Memories held my attention all the way through it. I am so happy that Annie has put a glossary in each of these books because they can be a bit complicated. With all the Aegis’, Phoenix’s, Wraith’s, Revenant’s and all the other character’s. So, thank you Annie for that!

This book is action packed. Kyle’s life is attached to Nicola so that if she were to die he would too. He will go to great lengths to keep the love of his life alive and not just because he would die if her life was to end. Nicola is the type of person that would run into a burning building if someone needed to be rescued. I don’t want to say more because I want you to read this book but, you need to start at the beginning. Ashes to Ashes series is very good and I recommend it. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Another thrilling and emotional adventure from Annie Anderson. My favorite "family" of Ethereal warriors are back and just as incredible as ever!
I'm always awed by Anderson and her ability to weave together such complex stories. It's impossible to not be completely pulled in. Love and loyalty hold these characters together. Actually, love isn't even a strong enough word to describe their connection. Amidst loss, pain, and the threats from pure evil, their utter devotion never wavers. Action-packed and full of danger, I was racing through the story, desperately hoping everyone would make it through. Nothing comes easy for any of the characters in this series and the way they deal with everything life keeps throwing at them is inspiring and beautiful (and pretty badass too!)
This group of characters have been through so much and it was bittersweet to finally have things wrapped up for them. I know we'll be seeing more from them in the future so while it's not the end, it still feels like it in a way. I loved this story so much. Every page, every word, all of it.

Ashes to Memories by Annie Anderson is the fifth book in Ashes to Ashes series. This series is so unique and clearly thought out.

Ashes to Memories had my attention from the first page and didn't let go through out the story. Mrs. Anderson writes such unbelievable characters that I felt like I was there with them. She brought back all the previous couples from the series and I loved how they were one big adopted family. It did get pretty emotional for me in parts were I was angry and crying. It does have a lot of action which had me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen. Also, the sex scenes are super hot!!!

GAH! I’m not ready yet! I want more, more of all of them! I fully fell in love with every character no matter how frustrating they were. The roller coaster of this series has still got me reeling.

I wasn’t sure how I would react to Kyle and Nichola but I loved them as much as the others. I’m hoping we get to see the futures of the Children in further books because I don’t want it to be over.

This epic conclusion to the series brings together many elements and answers questions as well. Some twist and turns make you hold your breath and woop at the same time. I don’t know how Kyles heart survives because mine barely did!

Another master piece from Annie Anderson. More, more, more!

First off I have to say that I'm a HUGE paranormal romance fan and Annie Anderson is one of 3 authors that i adore! Ashes to Ashes Series draws you right from the very beginning you just can't put it down and keep on wanting more!

Nicola and Kyle's love story has finally come to an end. But what a ride Annie Anderson has taken us. I have shed tears like there is no tomorrow. Ashes to Ashes Series has been by far one of my top 10 favorites ever. I want more!!!

"He doesn’t look me in the eye when he says it, and I can’t help the thought that streaks across my mind even as I manage to hold my tongue.
I don’t believe you."

Nicola and Kyle are back along with all their friends to finish things off in a final battle with the power hungry, wicked sibling Witches. This book was actually a very good ending to the battle weary characters! Pick a trope and I’m sure you’ll find it in this story, but the elements were seamlessly woven in to where you didn’t really notice until the end. A few surprises and a couple of twists along the way had me flipping through the book as fast as I could manage, trying to see who would make it or not. After reading the first four books, I was ready for the showdown here and must say it lived up to what I was expecting. Great read and I can’t wait to dive into Max’s series!

Ashes to memories by Annie Anderson is book 5 in the Ashes to Ashes Paranormal Romance series.

This book is a follow up/continuation of book 4 and we are again centre on Nicola and Kyles story. I'm so in love with this world that Annie has created and found this book such a good action packed read.
I'm glad we got to have more from Nicola and Kyle and if you are a fan of paranormal romantic suspense, then you need to read this series.

**I voluntarily received an Advance Reader Copy of this book.**

I can not get enough of these characters. From the very beginning this group captured my heart with their sometimes kooky antics and their fierce protectiveness of each other.

This story is the conclusion of the series, and the happy ever after. I would love it to continue, perhaps years in the future centered around the children grown up.

3 With A Crazy, Hodgepodge Family Stars

Sight Kissed is the fifth book in the Pheonix Rising series by Annie Anderson.

I didn't expect to have this book focused on Nic and Kyle again. But I am happy for it. Finding the family either lost or never known, was a bonus to this conclusion of the Pheonix Rising series. I do wish we could have found Aidan's mate, or even Cam's... but I'm kind of hoping Samara, Talia, and Marie find some happiness too. Which is why I will be checking out Max's series shortly after this. Just to see where this world takes us. Because it doesn't feel finished yet.

The final battle against the Bishop siblings was underwhelming. Yeah, they were trapped in the house. Yes, they almost got devoured by a soul eating mist. BUT! There wasn't actually any fighting to be had. A slight letdown to not have this world branch out more into the other communities of Ethereal beings. We only really have any insight into the Witches, outside of the Pheonix and Wraiths.

Sybil was a whole box of crazy. And finding out the truth about her, was way worse than the abandonment that Nicola had lived with all of her life. I'm sad she never knew of her brother. And I wonder if her mother even told him she existed? Grace was such a surprise and since she's a Witch, I'm hoping she shows up in Max's story. Along with Samara and Talia, even if they aren't Witches.

That this is the end of the series doesn't really compute. Nothing about this feels as if we have reached a solid completion.

I decided to go ahead and give this book a chance and started reading it. I have to say though that I almost DNF it. The first couple chapters in we got to a part where Nicola was thinking of running away again... and it pissed me right off! I was not interested in reading another book that dumbed her down again. Instead I just turned my kindle off for the day, while I got over being mad and thought about if I wanted to finish reading the story or not. How badly did I want to know how it all ended?
So after work today I picked up my kindle and started reading the book again. I have to say that I am glad that I did. I would have missed out on reading a wonderful ending to this series. But I am so glad that the author did not try to dumb Nicola down again or I would have had a royal conniption fit! I really would have DNF this book if that had happened.

I was happy that Nicola got her memories back. There was a few surprises in this story that I didn't expect at all.. Can we say Gracie? That I found shocking.. but not really sure why. I was just thinking for some reason that children were only possible with their mates. 😆😆😆 Or maybe it was because I thought children were rare in the Wraith community. Not sure really why I was shocked but I was. It was a good shock though. And I loved both Nicola and Kyle's reactions to that news.

I also have to say that the last few chapters of this book left me quite tense. I was on the edge of my seat and flipping pages as fast as possible to see what was gonna happen. I loved how it all turned out.

Well, the Ethereal world doesn’t hold a candle to the Arcane world. Plot wise, character wise, development wise or even when it comes to the writing. It’s not bad like a total waste of time, but the Arcane world is way, way better. One thing I dislike is the constant repetition of things that already happened and using a different POV. Up to the point where it’s a whole book from a different series with just of few different chapters added which is seriously frustrating or half a book from the same ones. It’s basically using the same material, same dialogue with a few changes, which is just lazy writing. Yeah, in recent years we got Edward’s POV and Christian’s POV, but it was advertised as such, here it’s used to plug holes and making a whole new book to sell out of a few chapters material 🤷‍♀️ If it was a problem in the Arcane world, here’s a non stop occurrence.
