Very good, and I prefer the pointy models
I got really fastidious about getting an inflatable SUP, and ended up with one of each of these, so I took a bunch of photos so y'all could see the difference. I much prefer the pointy one, as it's lighter and lower volume, so easier to inflate. It's almost as stable anyway, so not an appreciable difference there. In the photos, you'll see the difference in the inflatable boards themselves. There are other details: On the blue one (the round one), the foot of the pump folds up so it's smaller to fit in the bag. But the handle of the blue one's pump bumps into the extensions, so they are always falling off in the bag. The other ones also tend to fall off, but not as badly. On the paddles themselves, there is a difference in the length of the segments, but that's not really a big deal. I prefer the paddle of the blue one, but the difference is minimal. So, overall, the pointy board is lighter and easier to paddle, with a better pump handle. The rounder board is larger, a bit harder to paddle, and with a nice folding pump foot and slightly preferable paddle segment size. If I could do it again, I'd get two pointy ones. But I wouldn't have known that without buying both types.

It fits very nicely into the backpack and what I like the most is that when you roll up the paddle board after it’s been deflated, there is a strap to keep it bound together like a sleeping bag. I didn’t know, but that is actually extremely helpful when I’m putting everything back into its bag.

Purchased as an alternative to my hard SUP, primarily for easier transport to my destination and between parking and the water. I read a lot of reviews before buying which were overall positive, but also many contradictory, so I wasn't sure what to expect regarding inflating the board and stability. I have now inflated the board four times and used it twice on the water.

The first time I inflated it at home to practice and test. No problems. The second time I took it to a lake, inflated it, but couldn't find the screw that holds the center fin. It was a bit windy and I'd read comments about the board being hard to control without the fin, so I opted to use another craft I'd brought along. I'm not sure when or how the screw came out of the fin. I emailed Pyle Customer Support directly and without issue they kindly sent me a replacement no charge. The screw in the new fin has a piece that prevents it from unscrewing all the way out. The original either didn't have this or it didn't work. I'll eventually get around to finding the correct size screw for a backup.

The two times I've used the inflatable SUP have been excellent! It is so nice to be able to just put the bag in the car and go. Inflating is simple, taking me about 9 minutes with the hand pump. It's obviously significantly lighter than a hard board, and the handle makes it easy to carry to the water. I found the board to be surprisingly stable when standing, and easier on my back (than the hard board) when sitting. I do not have the optional seat back and I don't feel that I need it. Deflating is also simple, again taking me less than 10 minutes, including drying the board completely, rolling it up, putting it back in the bag and car.

I love it. My pros are easy transport, time and effort saving, great experience on the water, great customer service, definitely worth the price. My only con is that it comes with a single-bladed paddle. I already had an adjustable double-bladed paddle, which is a must for me when sitting. I'm hopeful I'll get many more uses out of this inflatable board.

Best practices for me: I use the dual-action setting on the manual pump to inflate the board until psi begins to register, which takes me 4-5 minutes, then I switch to single-action. 0-10 psi takes me 3-4 minutes, and 10-13 or 14 psi takes another minute. Use body weight, not arms. So far I've only inflated to 13-14 psi, which worked well for me. For deflation, I remove the plug and as it deflates I wipe to dry completely. Then I just roll remaining air out. Done. It comes with a strap to hold it together rolled, which I find helpful, but not necessary.

For a first board or not being able to have a hard board due to storage/vehicle I love it. Highly suggest investing in an electric pump as it can take a while to inflate manually. The adjustable paddle could be sturdier. I had to invest in a new one only after 2 times out in the water since it keeps collapsing when trying to paddle. But considering the price I paid for the whole package, it's worth it. I've recommended it to friends who haven't had any issues with the board itself either.

I bought it for $347 and it's my first iSUP, so I figured I didn't want to spend much off the bat in case I didn't like it, and this one got good reviews. So far so good, and the kit is great! It's nice having everything all at once. As mentioned by other reviewers, the bag feels a bit cheap (mostly the zipper), but so far it's done its job.

The iSUP itself is really pretty (and somewhat as important, it also floats and has held air for 3 days). The material and D rings feel pretty sturdy and the foot grip is definitely grippy. It's a bit less steady overall than I hoped for, but I'm also 5'8", so maybe if you're shorter it wouldn't be as bad. It could also just be me. However, it's definitely not stopping me from using it and I haven't fallen off...yet.

The paddle seems good and is a better quality than I expected after some reviews. It feels strong enough and I don't envision it breaking anytime soon. It's also adjustable, so it's good for any height.

The one thing I wish it came with is better instructions for blowing it up and deflating it. I consider myself to be fairly fit, so it surprised me that it took around 20 minutes to inflate it when most said it could be done in 10. A quick internet search was a huge help, but only after I worked twice as hard at pumping it up. I've included some tips below to help others along. As for the pump quality, it seems pretty average. Felt sturdy enough, gets the job done, and I honestly wasn't expecting much more than what it is.

***Tips for Pumping Up and Deflating***

-The pump has two settings controlled by a tear-shaped swivel thingy near the top of the pump body. When pumping up your iSUP, swivel the tear-shaped setting to the right. This is the double action pump setting; meaning it will pump air into the iSUP on both the up and down actions, lessening the inflation time.

-The PSI gauge doesn't really move much until you get around to 12 PSI or so. As you get closer to the 15 PSI max fill, it will get harder to pump, so swivel the tear-shaped setting to the left. This is now a single action pump, which will make it a little easier to fill the iSUP the rest of the way since it takes more oomph at this point (you'll know it's single action because air will blow out the open side of the pump).

-When you remove the air pump it will be LOUD! I woke up my husband and my dog; they both gave me the 'what for' look. Yikes and oops.

-When it comes time to deflate the iSUP, simply remove the valve cover, then press and gently turn the red 'button'. This will lock down, allowing the air to come out. Please note: this will also be really LOUD! I deflated mine outside around 11pm, in the still of the night. I have no idea what the neighbors thought. I'm sure there were plenty more 'what for' looks. Yikes and oops again.

Hopefully this information helps. I lamented, searched, and compared for quite awhile before buying this one. I wish I had purchased it sooner! I've only used it once in the week we've had it, but I'm definitely happy with it. If anything changes I'll be sure to post an update. Happy paddling!

The one thing I wish it came with is better instructions for blowing it up and deflating it. I consider myself to be fairly fit, so it surprised me that it took around 20 minutes to inflate it when most said it could be done in 10. A quick internet search was a huge help, but only after I worked twice as hard at pumping it up. I've included some tips below to help others along. As for the pump quality, it seems pretty average. Felt sturdy enough, gets the job done, and I honestly wasn't expecting much more than what it is.

***Tips for Pumping Up and Deflating***

-The pump has two settings controlled by a tear-shaped swivel thingy near the top of the pump body. When pumping up your iSUP, swivel the tear-shaped setting to the right. This is the double action pump setting; meaning it will pump air into the iSUP on both the up and down actions, lessening the inflation time.

-The PSI gauge doesn't really move much until you get around to 12 PSI or so. As you get closer to the 15 PSI max fill, it will get harder to pump, so swivel the tear-shaped setting to the left. This is now a single action pump, which will make it a little easier to fill the iSUP the rest of the way since it takes more oomph at this point (you'll know it's single action because air will blow out the open side of the pump).

-When you remove the air pump it will be LOUD! I woke up my husband and my dog; they both gave me the 'what for' look. Yikes and oops.

-When it comes time to deflate the iSUP, simply remove the valve cover, then press and gently turn the red 'button'. This will lock down, allowing the air to come out. Please note: this will also be really LOUD! I deflated mine outside around 11pm, in the still of the night. I have no idea what the neighbors thought. I'm sure there were plenty more 'what for' looks. Yikes and oops again.

Hopefully this information helps. I lamented, searched, and compared for quite awhile before buying this one. I wish I had purchased it sooner! I've only used it once in the week we've had it, but I'm definitely happy with it. If anything changes I'll be sure to post an update. Happy paddling!
