The Resolve of the Commonwealth (Perseverance Andrews Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars 332 ratings

When your enemies are desperate, that is when they are most dangerous.

Having just survived the most recent assaults, the Royal Navy hopes for a breather. Instead, their enemies have different ideas. They plan a daring attack designed to destroy the Commonwealth’s shipbuilding facilities, before the Commonwealth’s economic might overwhelms them.

With two of the Royal Navy’s five fleets destroyed, the Admiral of the Fleet must put his life on the line to blunt the enemy attack. If their enemies succeed, the war might drag on for years. The cost to stop them might be his life.

With an enemy who will stop at nothing, Perseverance and Saint John find that nowhere is safe. Even the most joyous events have the potential for tragedy. Danger can lurk in even the safest places.

The turn of the tide might be at hand, if they survive.

Caught my interest right away and the leading characters kept my focus from one battle to the next. The strategy used in combat was logical and believable. War is not pleasant and death occurs often with people and comrades who you know who have died doing remarkable things for others.

Mr. Spearman has once again produced a thrilling and engaging story which completes the first Commonwealth vs. Federation and Republic war. There is none of the surplus word bloat all too common with some more well-known authors; instead he gets on with the well-written story, not just of the war and how that affects the main protagonist, but also her emotional growth. A great ending to the series and with an epilogue that gives us, the avid readers, a proper sense of closure. I bought this book on the day of release but delayed this review to give me the opportunity to reread the whole trilogy. Fully recommended!

Mr Spearman has once again wrote a great story. I have read and enjoyed many of his works.

This story did not disappoint. Great characters and a plot that could of come out of today's headlines. I enjoy the fact that Mr Spearman is not afraid to injured or kill off a character to advance the story.

Looking forward to his next series.

This series is on par with Weber's Honor Harrington. While similar in many ways the character development was detailed and engaging. The storyline had multiple victories and defeats and was well crafted overall.
Highly recommend as military sciencefiction.

This series concludes nicely with the villains dispatched and their governments in disarray. Easy read with viable characters and a lively plot.

Loved the trilogy…. I am hoping to read about their kids or grandkids some thirty or fifty years later in their future! But their stories are wonderful!
