Product Description
Honoring the electrifying "Voodoo Chile" Who popularized the Stratocaster guitar and its tremendous sonic flexibility, The Jim Hendrix Stratocaster gives you the same fiery tone and playing feel to wield as your own. Full of incendiary vintage tone and classic style, this extraordinary instrument features signature touches and unique appointments based on his distinctive "flipped-over" Guitars. The foundation of Hendrix's uniquely personal sound and playing style was his habit of flipping his guitars over and restringing them to accommodate his left-handed playing, resulting in a "reverse" Headstock and bridge pickup- features reproduced here in exacting detail. The "reverse" Headstock produces a longer string length for the bass strings, creating a tighter playing feel along with easier bending and vibrato on the treble strings. A trio of unsurpassed American vintage '65 single-coil pickups includes a reverse-slant bridge pickup, producing uniquely inspiring tone with tight, warm sound and enhanced upper harmonics and definition. The highly versatile 9. 5Radius "C-shaped maple neck with medium jumbo frets offers a flatter playing surface-ideal for chording while simultaneously allowing you to bend notes to the Stratosphere without fear of fretting out during scorching solos. Commemorating Hendrix's unrivaled legacy, the large '70s-style headstock bears the guitarist's signature on the rear. A unique neck plate displays a shoulders-up silhouette of the man himself and the engraved inscription, "authentic Hendrix, " leaving no doubt as to the inspiration behind this guitar. Available in classic Olympic White or black, both with chrome hardware and including a gig bag, The Jim Hendrix Stratocaster is your chance to unleash your own "electric sky church" Music.

Alter Your Axis: A Unique Point of View
Authentic Hendrix
Jimi Hendrix is universally accepted across generations as the epitome of the guitar god. His story and body of work has elevated him from mere rock star to an American folk hero.
The scarcity of left-handed Stratocaster guitars in the late 1960's required Jimi to flip over right-handed guitars and restring them to suit his southpaw faculties. The resulting 'reverse' headstock and reverseangled bridge pickup gave Jimi’s Stratocaster a unique tonal response and a distinctive look. These custom features have been incorporated into the new Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster for the right-handed masses.
Jimi is indelibly linked to the Fender Stratocaster guitar. Nearly every significant recording and performance in his career was played with a Strat. He abused them, broke them and burned them but never strayed from his devotion to the instrument. He is without question the most influential player to ever pick up the Stratocaster. As Janie Hendrix herself put it, “Jimi is Fender and Fender is Jimi.”

Reverse Mounted American Vintage Pickups
To get the pure electric tone that is an elemental part of Hendrix’ legacy, we’ve equipped the Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster with three reverse-mounted American Vintage ‘65 single-coil Stratocaster pickups. This reverses the pole piece stagger, subtly changing the string-to-string volume balance for authentic Hendrix-style tone.
In an especially authentic touch, the single-coil bridge pickup on this signature model is mounted with a reverse slant, generating warm sound with enhanced upper harmonics and definition on the bass strings while adding girth to the treble strings.
'Reverse' Headstock
Mirroring Jimi's flipped over right-handed guitars, the reverse ’70s-style headstock on this guitar alters the relative length of the strings, producing a longer string length and tighter playing feel on the bass strings and easier bending and vibrato on the treble strings.

As an observation: I think this is the way the Headstock should have always been, it just seems better.

Pickups are of vintage output and sound great!
There is some magic to the reverse headstock, hard to put my finger on it, better sustain on the low end perhaps.
Only gripe was the "all over the place" setup, or lack of any setup. Find it hard to believe Fender shipped this guitar.
Pickup height all over the place, saddle height no where near 9.5", neck had enough back bow that strings where laying on the fretboard. Basically it needed, a setup, which can be expected, but this one felt like it wasn't inspected at all after assembly.
A setup was easy enough, just a bit disappointing in Fender for this one. Others have come in nearly perfect, needing only minor tweaks to my taste.
