Accidental Rebel: A Marriage Mistake Romance (Marriage Mistake Series Book 5) Kindle Edition

4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 7,208 ratings

Accidentally hitched to a dream. Now for the catch...

I didn't even say "I do."
One crank call and I'm insta-wife to a tattooed behemoth and mother to his kids.
He's paying my idiot boss a fortune for the perfect lie.
Because trouble found Miller Rush, and he found me.

A rock hard, overprotective rebel with a cause.
Father of the century.
Abs wound tighter than his attitude.
A broodylicious bull stomping around my house, barking orders.
Something's got to give, okay?

But it won't be me.
Not my courage, even when my nosy mother smells drama.
Not my heart set on helping two little angels and their perma-grump dad.
Definitely not my body screaming
Mayday because his bedroom eyes are magnets.

Deep breath.
It's only a few weeks.
It's only a whole mess of freaky secrets.
It's only pretend and I'm so not letting Miller run off with my heart.
Riiight. Why didn't anyone warn me some knots can't be untied?

From Wall Street Journal bestselling author Nicole Snow—a high stakes marriage mistake with a twist. One hulking superdad hero goes all-in to save his family and the wife he wasn't supposed to keep. Full-length romance novel with a Happily Ever After sugar rush.

Review

Praise for Accidental Rebel:
"Gwen's instant attraction to the broody, growly single father was almost as intense as my own. This author knows how to write the best alpha heroes, and she really outdoes herself with Miller Rush." -Viper, Reviewer

"I blew off my entire day just to read this exciting, spellbinding journey of Miller, Gwen, Shane, and Lauren!" -Becky, Reviewer
"This was one thrilling, edge-of-your-seat story with some wonderfully steamy moments. What would happen next kept me reading when I should have been doing chores. If I could give more than 5 Stars, I would..." -Linda, Reviewer
"I loved Gwen and Miller's story from the start. Their story was intense, fast, steamy and hot in true Nicole Snow style." -RLoves2Read, Reviewer

I liked everything about this book. It had suspense, show downs, love and a crazy ending. The mother is over the moon. All the characters were on point.

Refreshing to read a romance thriller combination without the angsty breakups and miscommunications. Gwen turns out to be an amazon despite her book-loving nature. I was also pleased that the author didn't have her searching from bed to bed for the right man for her; instead she held back on sharing that side of her for someone who mattered to her. Miller was a loving single father determined to protect his family while bringing the evil to justice. The trust between the FMC and MMC developed quickly and it was satisfying to read of their support for one another. My only issue with the writing in this story is the same thing that I've seen in most of the stories I've read recently, which is basic proper English syntax. For some reason, seeing phrases like "he built her mother a gazebo" rather than "he built a gazebo for her mother" are making me wonder about the level of English proficiency of today's authors and their editors. It may be how people frequently talk, but writing usually evidences an individual's educational level and provides an easy flow of the writer's meaning without the reader having to rearrange words to derive the intended information.

So hard to put down! I loved everything about this novel and appreciate the anticipation for several events all through the story. I’m becoming quite the Nicole Snow fan! I highly recommend this story and all of its twists. ♥️

I really enjoyed this read. It was intense at times, but I liked it very much. I especially enjoyed when “Jackie the Ripper” and her cronies were caught and no one died as they were held. I would have preferred a little more action in that regard. They certainly deserved it.
I hope that whoever reads this next enjoys it as much as I have.

The full sentence wording wasn’t there but all and all the book was good. At least it had a complete ending unlike the others in the series.

In this book you meet Gwen Courtney, who has an paralegal certificate and works for a lawyer as an "assossiate" which is a joke. She is working on data recovering and realize her boss doesnt work much on legit cases. Then his phone keeps ringing which is a burner type phone. She text back then takes saod phone home. She has no idea what she os getting herself into. Her mom is also a famous romance author and Gwen agreed she never take another dime from her after college. Albeit she lives practically rent free in the building her mom owns. Then you meet Miller Rush who waa the unknown texter. He has twins Lauren and Shane. He seems to be running from something because he said they are going to a safe house. Not good. They kids mother also passed away. Seems he saw something he shouldn't had his company and didnt keep his mouth shut. He also was in the Army. I love how he secretly named her gingersnap. So Manny gets her to be Miller's person but doesn't tell Gwen she'll be a pretend wife. She wasn't thrilled but didn't know what else to do. I also liked knowing his friend Keith whom he seved with and his wife Heather was in the same boat. Since they worked security at Mederva. Which the CEO Jackie Wren, was into the black market not good. Then Keith isn't answering his phone, but went to Ecuador. He also had broken bones, from Jackie's henchman it seems. Oh no! Keith it compromised. I hope he and hus family survives. That be so bad if they didn't. Huh, maybe her mom can help him out of this mess. Her mom his helping a long with her hired man J.T. I love the little flashbacks along with the hints from other books, like Enguard security. Omg! What they did to Keith was so awful. I'm glad Miller got them out of there. I was happy that Jacie was caught and it didn't last till the end. We get to see them happy for a few chapters. Love her reference to her previous book, Accidental Knight. So funny! I felt for Manny but at least he helped but Jackie and Co. away. So that was a plus. I'm sure Miller took the necklace, but at least her mom took the kids away for a few days. Yup, you knew he'd use it for that reason. I'm so happy they got their HEA and Keith and Heather get their do over with them. Same job with Miller and they'll be neighbors. A win win. I'm happy everyone got their HEA plus we get a short of the future. Oh and her officially adopting them was so sweet. What a fantastic read!

The first half held my interest enough to continue reading but I wouldn't say it had my rapt attention. I can't even remember a lot of it. What does that say? I was disappointed at how this book dragged in the last few chapters, perhaps even the last 3/4 of the book. I skimmed the last 2 chapters and pretty much skipped to the end. Pages and pages of bather devoted to a non-important things. It's like listening to someone talk about a hangnail, eventually you just tune out. It seemed as if the author ran out of steam once she got the basic plot down but needed more pages so she handed it over to someone else to pad it.

I thought I liked this author so I looked up my past ratings. I notice that I rated all her books published 2019 and earlier, a solid 4 star. Anything after that was a reluctant 3 star. I appreciate that it's got to be hard cranking out story after story. While this book had a great premise, it seemed to have a lot of filler that got annoying.

He's been driving for hours, escaping dangerous people while keeping his children safe. She works for a lawyer with as many under the table gigs as over the table nonsense.

She wasn't supposed to accept this clause and he wasn't supposed to stick around. But one meddling mother, a less then steller lawyer and a whole blacksheep gig and you've got Miller and Gwen.

I love the blend of intrigue, danger, mystery and red hot steamy passion all blended together with a cute pair of twins and a need for family.

Absolutely couldn't put this story down.
