Publisher's summary

The O’Connell family collides with danger in this shocking new story from NY Times and USA Today best-selling author Lorhainne Eckhart.

Eighteen years ago, Luke O’Connell’s father was there one day, gone the next. His mother sat him and his siblings down and told them their father was gone and that it was just them now, and they wouldn’t be seeing him again. But Luke never believed his father could just walk away from a family he’d said he loved. Now, from his role within a secretive military organization, he uses the intelligence he can access to follow leads on his father, but each is a dead end.

Luke finds himself endlessly embroiled in deadly missions from secret bases, posing as a civilian for front companies, and tracking national enemies to capture or kill. But now, his questions have brought trouble back with him onto US soil, all the way to his hometown - and, ultimately, his quest might put his family in the line of fire.

Great Read

The Missing Father (The O'Connells #6) was a great read by Lorhainne Eckhart. Luke O’Connell’s father was gone eighteen years ago. Luke never believed his father could just walk away from the family he claimed to love. Luke now has a role within a secretive military organization, and uses the intelligence he can access to follow leads on his father. Unfortunately they are all dead ends. He is endlessly embroiled in deadly missions, but his questions have brought trouble back with him on US soil. Unfortunately his quest may put his family in danger. I enjoyed reading this book and cant wait to read more by the author.

Fantastic addition to this series!

Talk about a powerful punch, this installment of the O'Connells is action packed and gets you thinking. It features Lucas, who works ghost ops, returning home after a mission. But things follow him, and now with his family in danger, he needs to work fast and keep them safe. Trying to dig up what happened in the disappearance of his father 18 years ago doesn't help the cause. Could it be the reason things are making their way home? And Rosemary, the woman he met at the end of his last mission, will she remain in his life? Lorhainne Eckhart involves us in the lives of the O'Connells, and each book is amazing. This though provoking story is not only realistic, but scary! Things that actually could be happening, and we just don't know it. I love this kind of excitement, the close knit family, the action packed suspense and the wonder of what is coming next! Lucas is quite the character!

John Mo brings all the thrills to life with a wonderful performance. It's my first time listening to him, and I found myself completely immersed in the story with his fabulous story telling. I will be looking for more of his work.

I Like It

I feel like I really should go back and read these books in order. I think it will help me like the book better. I also feel the books could be a little longer and a little more drawn out. I don't hate the books. I think they are pretty great. I just crave more.
