The ad for TLP1208TELTV here says "UL-1449 fourth edition" when it's really a UL-1449 third edition. I know because I ordered one through here. (see attached pics)
The clamping voltage is only 330V for the neutral line, the other two lines are 400V. (see attached pics)
The included 6' RJ11 cable works with my DSL modem but isn't as fast as the CenturyLink green RJ12 cat-5e cables and therefore reduces the speed by 5-10 Mbps. In fact, i tested with a separately purchased cat-5 cable and got better and smoother results via Ookla speed tests. Suggesting that the provided cable isn't even a cat-5 cable or perhaps not a high-quality one. I have CenturyLink double-bonded DSL internet. Amazon doesn't seem to sell, even through third-party venders, cat-5e RJ11/12 cables.
When I did my tests using Ookla i ran test thrice each time and averaged out score via my Apple TV 4K 2nd-gen. which is plugged-directly into CenturyLink modem-router via cat-7 ethernet cable. It's too bad Tripp-Lite doesn't sell directly from their own website to prevent issues like this but rather through resellers e.g. Amazon.
I'm gonna call Amazon about this.
In the end i give it full 5-stars because i haven't been able to find anything as good in the US market sold from a different brand. This is pretty much the only brand that makes surge protectors that aren't snake oil and actually provide protection, list their specs, and even educate people on their website about what the different specs mean and why they're important.

One of the things I love about this power strip is its versatility. With 12 outlets and an 8-foot cord, I can easily connect all of my devices, regardless of where they are in the room. The power strip even features coaxial and tel/modem line protection, which is essential for safeguarding my modem, router, and cable box.
Another thing I appreciate about this power strip is its durability. The sturdy design ensures that it will withstand any wear and tear from everyday use, and the built-in circuit breaker adds an extra layer of protection against overloads. Plus, the power strip's compact size makes it easy to store in a drawer or take on the go.
Overall, I highly recommend the Tripp Lite 12 Outlet Surge Protector Power Strip to anyone in need of reliable and comprehensive power protection. Don't wait until it's too late - invest in this power strip today and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing your electronics are safe and secure.
After researching numerous surge protector brands, and reading numerous reviews, I decided that this item was the one to purchase.
I have only had this for about a week, but am confident it's doing the job of protecting my components:
HDTV, Sound base, cable box, CD player, blu ray player, dvr recorder, amplifier/receiver, turntable, and yes, an SVHS player/recorder.
The 15 amp 'protection' equates to 1800 volts. I took the time to review each of my components voltage and didn't come close to the 1800 volt max.
I am one who always reads the instruction/users manuals. Suggest you do the same. It can't hurt. The manual suggests that you plug it in and make sure it is working properly and that your outlet is grounded. Good advice.
Another task prior to set up and use that was suggested by another customer review was to take the 3 prong plug and enter each separate outlet in order to break their initial resistance. Only 3 of the 12 outlets were difficult to plug in, but every one of the 12 kept a firm, tight connection.
The 8 ft cord was a selling point for me due to outlet access. Many of you will get by with the 6 ft. cord. based on your particular needs.
I have confidence that it's doing it's job. I guess that only time will tell, that and any major power surges or lightning strikes.
As usual, the order process was easy with Amazon. In fact, use of the free shipping option, I didn't expect it until the noted delivery date, but surprise, it arrived several days earlier.
The one drawback, and it has no impact on my product review, the item was delivered to the wrong address. As always, you get a delivery confirmation email from Amazon, along with a photo image of your package on your doorstep. I knew when it was out for delivery and the expected delivery window. Naturally when I received the 'item delivered' message, I was shocked to see that the image was not my front porch. I immediately jumped in my car, looking at each and every house in my street, looking for the matching pant and decor where my box was sitting. Luckily, I was able to find it several houses away. This has never happened before, so I was very concerned and made sure that I had a chat with a live person @ Amazon customer service.
