It's GREAT to be able to LEGALLY OWN the game on disc, not just purchase an intangible, destined to be discontinued digital license.  Paying significantly less for the PS4 edition to get a free upgrade to PS5 was a no brainer, since you have to have internet for most games today anyway.  It also means I can play it on my PS5 in the home theater, and my nephew can play it on the old PS4 in the living room when he visits.  I haven't actually compared the PS5 version to the PS4 version yet to see how worthwhile the difference is.  With games that are free to upgrade to PS5, usually the difference is mostly in loading speeds associated with the SSD in the PS5 vs a hard disc drive in a PS4.  So, again, not much of a downside in buying the PS4 version for this game.

Once again, Walmart comes through with its great value, reliable fast shipping / delivery, and availability of a popular item.  None of the other retailers (both physical and online) were able to match all of what Walmart offered.  Amazing game, a winner of the Game of the Year award.  You won't be disappointed!

Walmart Is Our Go-To for Games

From Software has carved a niche since the inaugural Demon's Souls arrived a few generations back. That niche glamorizes challenges, self-led discovery, and a story that requires players to dig for the details. Combining all of these into what is now the greatest open world game to date, Elden Ring capitalizes on those successes and cranks them to 11.

This game has blown me away across 6  playthroughs, each with different experiences in how I've overcome each challenge. I've achieved every ending possible and have scoured the Lands Between for its deepest secrets. The DLC needs to arrive ASAP.

The requisite open-world adventure

It was very easy to purchase! Fast delivery and my son loves this game. It's absolutely beautiful to look at and seems to be very immersive. He is enjoying exploring and is not rushing through the game like he has done with other games.

This game is one of the best

I liked this game so much that I bought it for PS5 and PS4 and got the platinum trophies for each! There's almost an infinite number of ways to play the game, the graphics are amazing, the bosses are difficult but fun, and the fashion is impeccable!

Literally the best video game ever made

The game is very big, but there is no real multiplayer aspect. So you essentially run around by yourself and fight bad guys. And if you summon a friend, they have penalties for joining you and only stays with you until one of you dies. Hardly worth being called a co-op.

Huge Game - Minimal Multiplayer

Elden Ring is a really challenging game. You will need to attempt fights over and over and obtain better gear to move on. The graphics are great but I have to say Skyrim, Oblivion, amd Witcher are better games in my opinion. Elden Ring is pretty much solely an open world fighting game while the latter are true open world RPG games. In Elden Ring, there aren't really any markets, towns, friendly NPCs to interact with, trading, potions, building, etc. These things are a lot of fun in RPGs so this is disappointing. It's a very challenging sword and bow game with good graphics but I feel it's missing a lot of what makes RPGs so much fun.
