I've had no issues using this across a wide array of hardware. It worked flawlessly with an M1 Macbook, an 11th gen Intel laptop (proper Thunderbolt), and a Ryzen 7840U laptop over USB4.
Works like charm, Also tried different pigtails (RJ45-SFP+) works well!
After I plugging the adapter, windows 11 recognized it right away and installed its driver. The next step was to download and upgrade the device to its latest Marvell firmware. The upgraded completed very quickly. Now it's running 3.1.121 firmware. After a final reboot, I was back on business. Note that the Windows PC already Thunderbolt enables, had latest thunderbolt firmware and drivers.
I have several VirtualBox Virtual Machines hosted in a Synologic NAS. So I wanted to increase the connection speed to the NAS. To test my setup, I started a VM running Lubuntu 22.04 LTS and started a job to build Linux Kernel 6.1.4 with some custom teaks. The process started and ended quicker than before. The network connection was stable and fast. I’m happy with the purchase.
Speed is fantastic. Make sure you're using Jumbo frames on both your client and server.
The RJ45 variant gets quite hot and the fan inside activates jet engine mode. The SFP+ model doesn't have this issue and runs silently. Due to the length of the cable, there isn't really a way to place it somewhere not so close to you so if you can get the SFP+ variant, go for that instead.
Runs hot! My actual deployment will be DAC and should not have any issues. I noticed it makes a 10Gb-Base-T transceiver run very hot--enough to burn a finger if you hold it for 10 seconds. It might shorten the transceiver life. None of my other switches do this--they get warm but not hot. I would use it only with DAC (or possibly fiber).
Update: I've been running this with a DAC cable for some find and it runs quite cool.

Poco ruidoso por el ventilador pero funciona perfecto.
The packaging and product are really well made and screams quality. The QNAP QNA-T310G1S adapter is quite large compared to an SFP+ module and it also has some weight to it too.
I downloaded the Marvell AQtion AQC107 drivers, which are required for the adapter, before installing the device and I had no problems getting it to work.
It does run quite warm (but not hot) and I suspect the aluminium chassis is used as a heat sink. I'm not sure on battery drain on a laptop because I only use this adapter when the laptop is connected to the mains.
There's not may 10GbE options for laptops at the moment but based on my experience I highly recommend this one.
Pros:
- Full 10GbE speeds over Thunderbolt
- Compatible with 3rd party SFP+ transceivers (I'm using 10GTek)
- Decent build quality and packaging
- Easy installation
Cons:
- Does run quite warm (but not hot)

Je ne l'ai pas encore utilisé sur une période très longue, mais il fonctionne parfaitement et les débits sont au rendez-vous.
