This is "the"genorator to own!Easy to assemble simple directions.
Not too heavy easy to transport.Very simple to hook up for power.
We live on the Gulf coast and experience bad storms during the
hurricane season.I can power quite a few essential items.I have 
wanted this machine for some time and finally got a great deal on
it.It was shipped from MD to TX in three days with free shipping.

The Nexus is great. It works with all the Ego batteries I already have and provides true signwave power anywhere I need it. Great for camping, tailgating, school events and emergency power for essentials. 

Only frustration was with getting it to link to wifi. It needs slow old wifi which is not user friendly to set up for most modern routers.

Great powerful, portable power!

I considered many competitors who make similar products but chose EGO. It is the only portable power station, that I have seen, with removable batteries that can be used in an entire suite of tools. I already had an EGO lawnmower, 2 stage snowblower, chainsaw, string trimmer & leaf blower. I bought most of those with the battery so I already had several batteries ranging from 2 to 10Ah. In short sticking with EGO made sense. I thought I could save some money by buying the Nexus Portable Power as a bare tool & use the batteries I already have. Unfortunately I was unable to find a Canadian vendor who had the bare tool available. On the bright side the difference between the price of the bare tool & the one with 2 7.5Ah batteries is far less than buying them separately, so I'm happy. I have seen reviews that focus on how long it takes this unit to charge a battery & that is true but that doesn't bother me. As I have several tools, I also have a few rapid charge chargers. I think this unit has a primary function as a source of emergency power not as a battery charger, so being able to charge 4 batteries at once (actually I think it charges then in sequence) is expected to take some time. I do like the the digital display does indicate how long it will take to complete the charge.

Good looking unit that seems well built & sturdy.

Works very well, just as advertised and then better.  Our family is in the process of replacing all of our ICE equipment with electric technology and the EGO product is our product of choice.

EGO PRODUCTS ARE WELL BUILT

Ran my entire DJ rig for 4+ hours with 2 15” 3 way powered Mackie 315's playing at full dance music volume….Added 2x Mackie powered 18” subs and played for 2 more hours with NO load issues! Soo sweet. Sorry neighbors, tailgate party look out.

Soo very sweet. Exceeded expectations

I like it it's very robust. It is very heavy, but seems to be able to do a lot and it's very connected in that it tells you exactly where you are and how much charge you've got left. Unfortunately my unit and probably a whole lot more peoples units do not have the Wi-Fi working either from what I am reading in the reviews. and this is something Ego should fix soon.  I've let it go, Bluetooth connectivity still works but it means I can't monitor the back up power supply from Wi-Fi.

Ego very good but could be better.

I bought this for backup power when the grid goes down. Was able to power the boiler with it during a deep cold (~0°F) when the power was out for 4 hours. The readout was helpful and batteries were supposedly going to last for upwards of 8 hours. Which would keep the house from immediate freezeup. I plan to use it on car camping trips as well because it's relatively small and light weight compared to a gas generator. The covers included feel cheaply made.

Great Backup Power Bank for the home

Too bad you can't use it while charging, like other users have written. It none the less helped me save the content of my fridge and freezer during our most recent black-out which lasted close to 50 hours without electricity. 
Since I already own an EGO Iawn-mower and a snow-blower, I have three other 7.5Ah batteries. The Nexus PPS I bought came with two batteries. So with five batteries on hand, I managed to keep the fridge and freezer going on and off during the very long black-out. For recharging the batteires as they depleted, I have to thank a generous neighbour who lent me is electric car for that purpose. Guess who I'll vote vote as citizen of the year ;-)

This is an awesome product!  It does exactly what I thought it would.  It is quiet, and no gas fumes.  I also love the Ego connect app.  I'm a data guy, and the gauges are perfect.  The only thing I would change is offer a rapid charger as an extra.  If you fully depleted all four 7.5 amp hour batteries,  it takes something like 10 hours to recharge.  I want to use this on my boat, and the main attraction is I don't have to listen to the generator.  But I can deplete the batteries faster than they charge.  Now I have one rapid charger.  I can use it to charge a battery in one hour.  If I could do all four in an hour, or at least all four in four hours that would be better.

Power for anywhere

Like the concept of the unit, BUT cannot charge batteries while running!! Also the blue-tooth only works if you have an internet connection and this will not work out in the field in many places. Why not just use the USB port to communicate with the NEXUS? I like to camp and many camping areas will not have internet and why would you have the NEXUS have to be on the internet to work?? Not a good idea and WIFI is even worse, not good.
Have the engineers go back and make the NEXUS have built in charging (solar at least) while running for a real good unit!
Yes the unit does work, but I have to now buy an inverter, 12 volt battery, and solar to charge up the 56 volt batteries, not a great idea and lots of extra stuff.This could be all built into the NEXUS for as BIG as it is.
I happen to have 12 of the batteries since I've had EGO gear for over 6 year now and like all the products, but this one was NOT thought out very well as mentioned above.
