4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars 1,689 ratings

Amelia loves her good friend, Avery. So much so that she agrees to do the stupidest thing ever.

A stranger photo shoot.

You know the type. The photographer takes photos of two individuals. Two individuals that, until that day, have never met in their life.

The moment she shows up at the photo shoot, she knows that she made a terrible decision.

Why? Because the total stranger about to be in an intimate photo shoot with her is the hottest thing that’s ever walked the streets of Kilgore, Texas. If not the entire US of A.

***

Adam wasn’t sure why the hell he agreed to something so stupid.

Call it temporary lapse of sanity.

When the photographer who shot his photo for the Kilgore Police Department’s benefit calendar asked him for a favor, he couldn’t say no. Not without looking like a jerk seeing as it was benefiting the Fallen Officer Foundation that he played a rather large part in.

Whatever it was that made him agree, he quickly realizes that it’s not worth it. Not when he walks into the studio and sees the massive bed with blood-red sheets dominating the middle of the room.

So uncomfortable he is at the sight, he’s about to head straight out the door and not look back when she walks in.
Amelia steals his breath away with just one glance, and all of a sudden, getting this stranger into his arms with his mouth on hers sounds like the best idea ever.

Never knew donuts and a first meet could be so sexy. Adam and Amelia’s story turned up the heat in Kilgore, TX. They had chemistry from the beginning and their connected families just made their connection that much better. It was awesome to see the Mackenzie’s from Dixie and Free again. I wait every month impatiently for the SWAT Gen 2.0 series and it just keeps getting better.

I have been following Lani and reading her books over the last 4ish years. It might actually be closer to 5....but anyway. I have been anxiously awaiting Amelia's book. I think Lani did an amazing job of staying true to Amelia's character that we have seen glimpses of in previous books. Adam is a perfect fit for her. What I like about their story is that even with them growing up together (but not really) that meeting each other was still new. It was not an instant recognition and there were not any preconceived notions about each other. One of my favorite things about generation books are seeing the parents make appearances and reading about their continued love story. I was impressed with how well Lani did with portraying accurate information on how to regulate and live well with diabetes. It is extremely difficult to live and resist temptation of all the carbalicious things in this world. I am diabetic and struggle with it daily, so I related to Amelia a lot. That is one of the things I really like about Lani's books, the situations are dramatic (because hello, it's a book and it's not "real life") but at the same time, the situations are also real. Her characters are real and the stories are so well written they feel REAL. I am looking forward to seeing Amelia become an FBI agent. I think it will cause Papa Silas to lose some of that grey hair! HAHA.

I know that not everyone is going to love every book, but if you are looking for an author to start reading, I definitely suggest Lani's books. Her writing style is consistent and her stories are well developed.

I thought this book was very well written and I cannot wait for Mr. September to be released. What I am not looking forward too is this series ending. Thank you Lani for sharing your guys and their kids with us.

There is an immediate, scorching connection between Adam and Amelia, one that can't be denied! And I do love an insta-love connection! It's a beautiful thing! Add in the fact that these two are the kids of some of my favorite previous characters (who am I kidding?!? I've loved all of the characters from this author's books!) and this book has all of the makings of a story that will quickly become a favorite of mine!

Amelia is such a hoot! I love her spunk, and her determination to do it on her own (whatever it might be!) I love the fact that she will do whatever she has to do to get out from under the protectiveness of her family (and to annoy them as much as possible!) She has such an amazing personality and is absolutely perfect for Adam! I loved their story, their connection, and most of all, I loved how there was really no questions between them, about that connection.

This story was fun, exciting, and just dramatic enough! I enjoyed everything, from their crazy first meeting, to the unpredictable events that just seemed to swirl around them. I couldn't get enough of Adam, Amelia, and their crazy crew! This is one of my favorite books of the new generation!

Eight books..... It took me Eight freaking books to really fall in love with the characters in this series.

I had to wait till this book landed on my kindle this morning to dive right into it. I usually get the chance to read the books beforehand, but for some reason when this book was sent to me it never landed on my kindle. And yes I asked for it to be resent several times. Anyway's after NOT getting it I just figured I'd have to wait until release day and read it as soon as I got it. Which it what I did, and boy was I able to dive into it. Luckily this book sucked me right into the story and kept my attention.

I loved Adam.... If you don't know or don't remember who Adam is, he is Jack and Winter's son, and Catroi's brother. I'm not sure exactly what it was but I just loved Adam right off the bat, he was sweet, kind, caring and definitely swoon-worthy. You could feel the connection between him and Amelia coming off the pages.

I also really loved Amelia..... If you don't know or don't remember who Amelia is (than I don't know what to say to you or you just don't pay enough attention or something) anyway's, Amelia is Silas and Sawyer's daughter, and her brothers are Sam and Sebastian, and Shiloh is her sister. With her being the baby of the family Amelia has definitely grown up with a super overprotective family. But just because of that doesn't mean she's weak in anyway, shape, or form. She definitely knows how to defend herself, she had a quick wit, and she was just absolutely likable.

As I said at the beginning of this review, Finally this has to be my favorite book of this series by far and its only taken 8 freaking books. Although I do wish we had gotten more of Jack and Winter. But other than that it was a great read.

I'm giving this book 4.5 Stars out of 5 & I really can't wait for Sammy's book!!!!

Amelia & Adam's story is fabulous!! I highly enjoyed their meet-cute w/ the stranger photo shoot. Their chemistry from the beginning was perfectly described, and the whole shoot itself was super fun to read!

I love the connections & the way the suspense portion of the story played out. Everything flowed very well & I wasn't left w/ any ... dangling story lines. Their steamy times were definitely steamy, but also very sweet & bantery. And King the corgi... SO CUTE!!! I just wanted to snuggle her.

Thumbs up for this installment of the series - lots of Silas cameos, more peeks into Lynn, and an appetizing glimpse into the next couple. : )

This is the 8th book in Lani Lynn Vale's SWAT Generation 2.0 series. This is Adam and Amelia's story. I love how they meet doing a stranger's meeting photoshoot. I live the chemistry between Adam and Amelia. The story flows smoothly with a few surprises. It was great seeing some of the characters from other books. I don't know how Lani Lynn Vale does it, but she always writes great books. If you've never read one of her books you're missing out.

Amelia and Adams books is everything and then some.

I have been dying for this book for ages and lord it was so worth the wait.

I loved how they 'met'. It was such a fun beginning and it set a really good pace from their journey which made me super excited to see where it led them.

The chemistry is so on point from the beginning and only burns hotter as their connection grows stronger. Im all about knowing when you've got something special there and boy did these two grab on to that right away instead of dragging it out. It gave me Sam and Cheyenne insta love vibes which I'm not mad at because they're my long time og favorites. Plus it's fitting because she's Sam's baby sister.

I loved the sweet playful dynamics of their relationship. Lots of bicker and banter and Swoony moments to keep you laughing and loving them.

As always this author brings in a slew of side characters that only add to the greatness in many ways. Silas had me in stitches at his overprotective dad shenanigans and it was so great to finally see a good parent child relationship from him. He deserved that. As well as Jack and Winter, another og couple and also Adams parents being in here. I feel like I really got my fill of great side characters in this one.

It was sweet and funny and all kinds of sexy. I laughed so hard. I swooned at the sweet and I lived for all the crazy happenings and outrageous shenanigans from them and their huge bunch of family/friends. There never is a dull moment. The characters are sweet, relatable and easy to connect to. The story flows seamlessly with all kinds in here to keep you locked in and entertained.

I love these books hard and I'm always left wanting more after I finish them because they're just that good. This one is no different and has earned its place in my top favorites.

Just a little warning.. they are standalones but personally you'd enjoy it more knowing the history of the characters and how they're all interlinked. It makes the story even more interesting.

Now I just have to wait for the next!!. Why and I so impatient.

Wow! This book has it. Amelia and Adam meet to do a stranger photo shoot as a favour to Avery and man, sparks fly from the instant they lock eyes on each other. You can feel the steam off the pages with the heat they generate. Both characters are awesome. The side characters are just as good too. You have Silas and Sam throwing their protectiveness around as the father and big brother. This book ties a lot of families together and you see glimpses of them. It would rate up there as one of my favourite Lani books. I loved it

Loved this book, as expected! I’m not reading the books in the order they were written, I went back and read Last Day of my Life, then wanted to read Jack’s sons book, prefect way to do it if you ask me 😂 anyway. Loved Adam and Amelia. The passion and fire Amelia had was prefect and Adams desire and need to protect her was spot on. Loved that he respected her dad and brothers but refused to be scared off by them.

Now on to the next family 😂
