Great Blu-Ray DVD player
First, the Blu Ray player in my picture is NOT the new player being reviewed. There is a reason I post that old player. So this new player is about half the size but twice the resolution. It does not have all the connections on the back that this older Panasonic Blu Ray player has either but that's fine since I never used all of those things. The picture quality on this new Blu Ray is superb, and I really like it a lot.But here is the kicker, the old Panasonic as a nicer unit has the much nicer remote. Look at the differences between the remotes and you can see that the remote for the older player has many more features than the new player. And the old remote actually WORKS with the new player. Not only does it work, but all the feature buttons actually bring up menus. Some of them never came up on the old Blu Ray player but on this new player, they do. I found this by accident but I'm stoked that the new player works so well with the old remote and all the features work too. Which of course begs the question, why did they include a small featureless remote with this player? I don't know. But it's a nice player and now much nicer with the other remote.
