As always, I loved another amazing story from Gansett Island. Cooper and Gigi were entertaining and fun characters. I liked that he was a little younger than her, and that he was a fan of her show. He came across as a fun loving, party guy, but he was a very intuitive and caring guy as well. Gigi was very similar to him. Her role on the show was the comedic sidekick, but she was a lawyer and very guarded in her personal life. I enjoyed how these two had sparks from the start and a strong connection, that they built into something with amazing potential. She was very resistant to anything serious, but he kept fighting his way into her heart. I really loved their story. I know some readers may not like the jumping around to different characters throughout the books, but it is my favorite part. I love getting back into each one their heads and finding out what is happening in their lives. It is so much better than just a cursory view. There are so many wonderful story lines happening all the time, and I am thankful for the way Marie writes this series. I love it!!

What is there not to love about a Gansett Island book?!! It is like coming home. The stories main couple are Cooper James, on island for his brother Quinn and Mallory’s wedding and staying with brother Jared and Lizzie. Jared and Lizzie have an apartment they are renting to Gigi Gibson who for the summer is filming a reality show with Jordan Stokes (twin to Nikki). Cooper loves women but Gigi definitely lights up all his buttons and it has nothing to do with her being on a number one rated reality show. Gigi has been dealt some bad cards until she started dealing her own cards. She shows her funny side on camera but only her two best friends, Nikki and Jordan know about her past. She is leery about a fling with Cooper; he is younger than her plus he seems to be able to read her. Cooper has a new business venture that will keep him on Gansett Island. Gigi can’t wait to get back to LA.

Intermingled with Cooper and Gigi’s story we get these visits.
Maddie goes into labor with the twins, a month early at Quinn and Mallory’s wedding.
Jessie the single mother who just gave birth is staying with Jared and Lizzie. She leaves the island without the baby.
Jordan gets a surprise and Mason does too.
Cindy Lowry meets the new bartender at The Beachcomber. Why is Jace on Gansett?
Cindy’s brother John explains to her why he quit his job.
Will there be a season 3 of Jordan and Gigi’s reality show?
Ned listens to Cooper’s business proposition which then gets presented to the morning coffee and doughnut crew. Poor Kara, major morning sickness.
There are new caretakers at the Lighthouse. They sorely need Gansett Island to give them its restorative properties.
Chloe gives Gigi something to think about.

Like I said, what is there not to love about a Gansett Island story!!

Temptation After Dark is Gigi and Cooper’s story. This a fun couple. Gigi is very independent and believes she doesn’t need or want someone to love. Cooper is a serial dater until he meets Gigi. He has huge walls to knock down and does a fantastic job of winning Gigi heart, eventually. This is also a continuation of Jared and Lizzie’s story. Woven in the story, without distracting, are new and old friends and family from past books with updates on life on the island. Full of emotions and everyday life. I was entertained throughout and loved catching up with all the characters whom I’ve come to know and love.

Back to Gansett we go for Gigi and Cooper's story! These two are fun together and well when a selfie goes wrong it's all uphill from there. Gigi hasn't had an easy life, she is fiercely independent and doesn't need someone to love or to love her. Or so she thinks, enter one Cooper James who is a few years younger than she is. He is a ladies' man, a serial dater if you will but when he meets Gigi, all bets are off. Cooper will not have an easy time of it as he tries to break through Gigi's walls. He is just the man for the challenge though as even her best friends Nikki and Jordan are on Team Cooper's side.

Ms. Force packs an emotional punch in this story as we catch up with Lizzie and Jared as they are left with an abandoned baby. We also catch up with the new light housekeepers and get to see a bit more of Jordan and Nikki. Gansett Island is growing and I don't know how Ms. Force keeps up with all pregnancies, drama, and day-to-day life with so many wonderful characters. She isn't afraid to change things up a bit to keep it from getting stale. I can't wait to see what is next in this series and I hope to keep revisiting Gansett Island for a long time to come.

I love Cooper. He is funny and is just always up lifting for is brother whenever he needs it. Gigi was good for him in a way that was unpredictable and just made a all around great couple. When they broke up it broke my heart but of course Marie doesn’t let you down and gives you the best ending possible. Loved every minute of this book.
