This is why I bought this item, because it's sold by Apple. It's well worth the extra money to know that you're not damaging your phone while charging it or that the charger will catch fire. The brick itself is sturdy and sleek like other Apple products. It's slimmer than other chargers because it only protrudes vertically, making it easier to fit with other more bulky chargers (see the picture). I bought this because I wanted fast charging for my Apple products, which can only be achieved with USB-C chargers.

    Gran producto de apple ,tengo el de 20w pero calienta demasiado mi iPhone 15 ,tanto que no puedo cargar con el,esta ahora estaba utilizando el de 12w de Apple,pero encontré este en Amazon de 18 w y es excelente,carga relativamente rápido y no se calienta ni calienta el teléfono,le doy 5 estrellas y Lo recomiendo a quienes se les calienta el iPhone con el de 20 w,bale 15 dolares mas q el de 20w pero vale la pena!!

    It’s a bit bulky, but it works really well and it never overheats! It will get warm when fast charging, but overall it stays cool enough so you won’t burn your fingers if you have to touch it. It’s a bit expensive, but this is the only charger I have been able to find that doesn’t get hot to the point of literally burning my skin if I touch it. All other (non-Apple) brands of 18W and usb-C chargers have managed to burn my skin. Maybe it’s just me? But I prefer chargers that last and don’t pose a fire risk —so far, I don’t have to worry about that with this charger.

    When I got my new iPhone 11 the charger that came with it was taking hours to charge. And so I did some searching. I found that this ( 30.00 overpriced at
    Apple + shipping ) on amazon and it was just what I needed but be aware you need a usb c cord not a normal usb. With the new cord ( also bought on amazon just type usb c but make sure it’s the thinner Usb end not the thicker one ) made a huge difference!!! ) Hope I helped you like everyone’s reviewing helps me.

    This works great. There are no issues with the product at this point. I’m the problem. I didn’t pay attention to that “C” after USB and didn’t have the proper cable to be able to use this, so back to Amazon I came. It was 100% my fault. It clearly states what it is, I just didn’t realize it until I got it and thought they sent the wrong product. So, just be mindful of that and make sure you have the cable that has the USB-C at one end and Apple Lightning at the other!

    I had a thunderstorm that caused a power surge 2 days into owning my brand new iPhone 11 to max. 2days! Thank goodness the phone was not plugged in at the time; my charger was though. It was plugged into a surge protected power strip but it failed and my original apple charger literally has scorch marks on the prongs. So I bought a new, better, surge protector and this charger and it has worked wonderfully thus far. Here’s hoping it never happens again, but this is Texas and my name should be Murphy.

    Well I need to charge my Apple Air Pods Plus since they do not come with this essential plug to charge them up. Of course it will be a 5 star because it's the recommended Apple part for the Apple product and they do the job. The minus ratings would have to be for Apple for NOT including this essential piece for the high price they charge for the Apple Air Pods Plus and it being a different wattage then the Apple Mac USB-C charger.
