The Dragon touch S1 Pro 4K Portable Monitor is a very slick portable monitor that has nice clarity. I don't have anything terribly bad to say about this item or its performance.
The worst thing I could say is that the foldable friction display stand that comes with it isn't highly effective. It slips fairly easily if you bump the desk or something. Not as bad as some I've seen, but certainly not as stable as something with a built-in hard stand.
The ease of use with display settings is clumsy at best. It can be burdensome if you really want to micro-adjust your brightness, etc.
You have to have a more modern device to use this with as it only connects via USB-C or HDMI/Mini HDMI. Otherwise you need to buy adapter cables. Was of no use to my PC or my Surface Book without an adapter. You need a lightning converter for Apple devices as well.
Due to the above, I tested it with my wife's Samsung Galaxy Note 20. I didn't know what to expect, and was quite surprised by the phone turning into a touch mouse pad. This was very cool, though I was not 100% familiar with the intricacies of using it for scrolling, and other functions besides moving the mouse pointer and tapping. Using it in this mode also didn't allow me to use the display as a touch display. Wasn't until I investigated further that it is NOT a touch display...which is weird considering the brand name is "Dragon touch".
I didn't read the user manual in depth yet.
All that said, I'm a desktop guy, and really don't see the value in it. I don't travel enough for work and need to display my screen to others on the opposite side of a table or desk. For realtors or designers or any service person, or traveler that wants 2 screens with their laptop, I guess it makes sense. My wife will get a kick out of using it once I get the proper adapters for our older PC and laptops. It's a good unit, though in my opinion overpriced.
It says it is a "Gaming Monitor", but, out of the box it seemed too muted for that. Maybe it is awesome for that use with some fine tuning, but, again, I couldn't hook it up that way without more accessories. I have iPhone 11 and do have some games, but, no adapters. As I said, it works with the latest Samsung, but, my wife's phone has no games, so I can't attest to that aspect of it. For what we'll use it for, it should work very well.
Overall very happy with this product.

Warm Tips on Dragon Touch 4K Portable Monitor:
1. Phones that do not have a full-featured Type C port require an adapter to connect ( iPhone needs lightning to HDMI adapter).
2. Please check if the Type-C port of your laptop is a full-featured Type C port, If not, it would not work with S1 pro portable monitor.（You can connect the monitor with HDMI Cable and Type-C power supply cable.）
3. When connecting a laptop, in order to avoid the screen stop working due to insufficient power supply of the S1 Pro (at least the voltage reaches 5V and the current reaches 3A), you need to use the built-in charging head to connect to the external power supply.
4. To prevent the S1 Pro from shutting down while working If the brightness and volume are adjusted above 70%, connect the S1 Pro to an external power source.
5. Adapters are required for IOS devices, see the manual for details.
6. Make sure that the laptop supports the tpye-c full-featured interface, otherwise the full-featured interface cannot be used. When using, power on the portable screen first, and then connect the portable screen to the computer with a type-c cable.
7. Applicable models for HP notebooks: EliteBook G1 for HP Notebook, EliteBook Folio G1, Omen 4 Pro,Pavilion X2, HP Spetre 13/Enw 13.
8. Volume and brightness can't be adjusted simultaneously. Please change one setting at one time.

Good panel but misleading "touch"
Okay, admittedly I was put off by it not being a touch screen, given the name "Dragon Touch". The title with "touch" as a separate word does imply that this is supposed to be a touch screen. It would be the same as calling this "Dragon 4K" but not being 4K. This is flat out deceptive. I think I knew this going in based on reviews, but was comparing to another touch gaming monitor and may have gotten confused on expectations.For gaming, I have no idea what makes this a "gaming" monitor. Sure, you can tweak some fairly dark blacks in it's various modes, but my understanding of gaming monitors is refresh rate and response time are key, both of which stats-wise puts this monitor squarely in the "absolutely no gaming" zone. 60Hz and 40ms? Seriously? I've never even heard of a monitor with such a poor response time. Maybe it's a typo, but it's the same response time listed on their other products as well. I think the word "gaming" was just tacked into the title for searches.That said, I can get a fairly crisp picture for work applications, as long as I'm using the supplied external power brick. The manufacturer does state that in order to get brightness or volume over 70%, you have to use the external power supply. That means most of the pre-defined modes or support options will cause the panel to reset to its lowest settings if running solely on USB-C.I'm not a fan of the magnetic fold out cover/stand. It only seems to work in one position and that is leaning pretty far back, so you'll need this at less than arm's length. The thin lip formed from folding back the end of the cover is barely enough to catch the bottom of the panel, so I foresee this falling in the future. It does have the vesa mount, which is good, as well as a nice metal back plate that has a quality finish. However, I don't personally have any use case for a vesa mount on a portable monitor.I tested with HDMI + power on my Dell XPS 15, and it works great. It does have some weird issue with just completely blowing out the blacks with a choppy looking screen in some modes, which I'm still trying to figure out.I tested on my MBP 2019 and ran into issues with using both USB-C ports. I tested swapping cables and ports, of which the MBP has four Thunderbolt ports. When plugged into both the MBP and a power supply, it shuts off the signal. I'm in the process of a return, but I just discovered that it does work on a different Thunderbolt port, so maybe that issue is actually on my end. As far as I know Apple doesn't differentiate these ports.If all you need is a decent, seemingly well-made portable panel for work or school, leisure surfing or videos, this is pretty good for a 4K-only option with no touch screen.
