I put a 150 W red lightbulb in it and it has been keeping my chicks warm for a few weeks now. My chicken even jumped on top of it one day and nothing happened. It does not get too hot and works well. I wish it had a clamp. Maybe I missed it somewhere.

The bulb guard is an amazing addition if your able to use it. Nice durable 6 foot cord, as well as a removable metal hanging attachment can make things easier.

I well be buying more of these and will keep buying them for any reptile for as long as they are available.
