One again JL Beck and Stacey Lewis out did themselves. I love Ava and Rykers love story. Their story is a roller coaster ride and you don't know what is going to happen next. It has lots of love, steamy romance and a few tears are mixed in there to. JL Beck makes you feel like you are a part of the story and like you know the characters in real life. I can't wait for the next book to come out.

This is Book 2 in the series of The Winston Brothers Series.---Ryker and Ava's story. What this book is about is 2 people finding each other by fate, coming together beautifully, then separated, and coming together again. On the day of his father's funeral Ryker finds himself totally unable to cope with how he feels and takes off to a bar to drink away his pain and feelings. Ava and her friends who are celebrating the start of Ava's internship with a prestigious company and they happen to end up at the same bar as Ryker. When he meets Ava, a sweet and sensual woman, there is this immediate chemistry and they end up having just one night of sizzling, steamy sex; for Ava is gone in the morning. She left behind a mystery for Ryker-she was the woman with no name, no number, no way for Ryker to find the girl who just upended his life. From Ava’s perspective, she had a night of drunken fun with this man she had a connection with but she was totally freaking out. Ava wakes to find herself in the hotel room, panicked with a man she doesn't even know his name so she quickly gets out and leaves before he wakes. Ava turns up to her first day at work to discover the man she had a one night stand with is now her new boss and he doesn't remember her. Ryker finds himself very drawn to his new employee but he doesn’t know why. Several months go by and things slip into place for Ryker, but in the meantime Ava discovers that she is pregnant and it’s her boss’s baby. This is a story that is filled with secrets, lies and a huge twist that will have the reader about dropping out in shock. This is a fantastic story that kept me reading for all the chemistry , passion, intrigue, romance , family ties and love that is woven throughout this story. I enjoyed so much the Winston Brothers, Ryker, Ava, Fallon & Reed and the rest of the Winston Bros… this is one story that has a lot going on. I loved the fast pace, the seamless way everything comes together. I look forward to the next book in this series.

book 2 gives Ryker his own story. He is devastated by the death of his father. He is not sure how to work through his grief other than alcohol and a hot body. He finds both and a lot more. the next day the hot body is gone and he is left in even more turmoil. He felt a connection to his mystery woman now she is gone. Ava is celebrating her new job. She is out to have fun. He first encounter with Ryker is more than she bargained for. When the two next meet, he has no idea who she is. Ava has that secret plus a even bigger one. The story is a quick read and offers a good background on the characters so that you get to know them and understand their actions. There are other secrets that get revealed that keep the reader interested and vested.

Ryker is the second son of the Winston family and now it is his turn to fall in love. Ryker is having a very hard time with his father passing and not doing a good job of hiding it. So when he meets a sexy and sweet blond at the bar the night they put his father in the ground all bets are off for him and her.

Ava is celebrating her new job and is taken out by her friends to do just that. But when she sees Mr. Serious across the bar the sexual tension is felt by everyone. Ryker and Ava end up at a hotel and have a blast. But when Ryker wakes up Ava is gone and they both have no idea who each other are.

But when Ava finds out who her new boss is two weeks later, and he doesn't remember her. Ava is heartbroken.
These two have a lot of things to get over and through. I loved this story and the characters. Ava and Ryker are WONDERFUL characters and need to be read. It was nice to see Reed and Fallon also. I can't wait to see where J.L and Stacy take us next. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy for my honest review.

4.5 stars. First Reed now Ryker has stolen my heart. It is a love and hate relationship. There are times just want hold comfort him then bam just want to drop kick him into next year. J &S are killing it with this series. You laugh, yell, and cry whole having heat stroke from the passion. Its awesome. I so enjoyed book 1 bur book 2 is so much more. Pick it up don't make the mistake of not following the Winston brothers and wish you were Fallon or Ava.I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.

The Baby Mistake destroyed and eviscerated my doubts of the power of these two authors. I found myself in tears with my heart in my hands when this story ended. Not only were there hot, sexy times that scorched my senses, but also a deep and desperate longing for pure and honest love that never failed to shatter my defenses. My heart was a goner from the start, and I finally gave me trying to keep it safe. I was so lost to this story that I had to read it in one sitting, and the absolute power of this story tiled my world in a beautiful and raw way. My mind is still reeling from the emotions, the conflict, and the pure and sweet agony that is life and love.

I never expected to find such exquisite characters to fall madly in love with, but Ryker and Ava never gave me a chance to breathe as they swept me up in their world of passion, pain, and beauty. To say that I love stories like these is such a massive understatement. My heart and soul can only be revived and encourage by the raw power and absolute love that flows from stories like this one. They break me completely and yet heal me at the same time. To have you very soul laid open so viscerally is to truly feel and know the life changing power of love, family, and hope.

No matter what you do, you must give this story an honest chance. Romance might seem like a frivolous subject to some readers, but in truth it is the very soul of who a reader is. If an author can’t touch the heart of those that read their stories, then they have no hope to see their books thrive. Readers need to be moved no matter what they read, or the words are useless and painful. This book though will make you feel everything, and it will leave you raw and bleeding. You will be shocked at just how powerful the written word truly is to our heart and soul. Our minds trip over them, but our hearts devour them because they are its breath of life.

I love to read J.L. Beck and adding in Stacey Lewis is just the ticket,,,,,,!!!

This book centers around Ryker James Winston, he is the 2nd brother of the Winston boys, the older is Reed and the younger is Remy,,,,, Ryker's mom died years ago from cancer and his father, who is the CEO of Winston Industries has just handed over control to Reed right before he, himself, passed away,,,, Ryker thinks it's pretty sleazy of his old man to make Reed produce an heir before handing over control, but he and Fallon are to be married soon and will be having their baby boy anyday now,,,, Ryker is upset after his father's funeral and instead of staying with the family, he goes to a bar and starts drinking,,,, while he's out drinking he sees a girl and he just cant keep his eyes off her,,,, they stare at each other for awhile,,, then he sneaks up on her and propositions her,,,, he figures having her will make the grief go away,,,, little did he know he was getting into major trouble,,,,

Ava is out celebrating her new job with her best friend, Gabby,,,,, they have been best friends since kindergarten, her other best friend isn't with them, but they have been friends with Marie since college,,,,, she keeps looking over at the good looking guy, who is staring at her for like forever now,,,, her and Gabby notice him and then they both go out on the dance floor ,,,, Ava gets thirsty and goes back to get a drink from her glass and looks over where her mystery man was and notices him not there anymore,,,, looking around, she doesn't see that man anymore until he comes up behind her and whispers in her ear,,,, she jumps and turns around,,,, they kiss and he talks her into going back to a hotel with him, which she's never done before, but she wants this guy so very bad,,,,,,,

Ok,,, I've given you a couple of the players in this book,,,,there is plenty of things I've missed and haven't told you,,,,, and you have LOTS to read after this part,,,, so, do yourself a favor and grab this book,,,, if you really want better understanding of this book BEFORE you read it, grab the first book by these ladies called,,,, "The Baby Arrangement",,,, I totally recommend this book to anyone,,,, as well as the first book also,,,,,

I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline. Great complex characters with a hint of sorrow.
This is Book 2 in the series of The Winston Brothers Series. Ryker and Ava's story. Ava and her friends who are celebrating the start of Ava's internship with a prestigious company find themselves in the same bar Ryker sees this vision in a sexy red dress and can't help but stare. Ava notices and feels the stare of this man accoss the room, after a few too many red wines feeling suddenly very confident finds herself infront and kissing this handsome stranger and soon follows him, for what is supposed to be a one night stand, and to finally lose her virginity. Drunken passion takes over them both when Ava wakes to find herself in the hotel room. Panicked with a man she doesn't even know the name of, she flees. Ryker wakes to find only a cold bed but blood smeared on the white hotel sheets. Ava turns up to her first day at work to discover the man she had a one night stand with is now her new boss and he doesn't remember her. Time passes and things slip into place for Ryker, however Ava discovers that she is pregnant and its her bosses baby. Secrets are discovered as they lives are turned upside down as each secret is reveled. This is a well written hot as hell story of fated lovers and family bonds that you bring you together. I received a copy of this book and happily leave this review.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book. Wow! This book was outstanding in every way. Two people finding each other by chance, being separated and coming together again. Ryker is devastated by the loss of his father; his brothers Reed and Remy stand by him during the services. When he can’t take it anymore he decides to drown his sorrows in booze because that always fixes everything. When he meets Ava, the beautiful sexy woman, he can’t take his eyes of her, and one night of hot steamy sex, she’s gone in the morning with no name, no number, no way for Ryker to find the girl who may have just upended his life. Neither one can stop thinking of the other and when Ava is about to start her new job, she come to realize that Ryker will be her new boss. He’s an ass, grumpy, crabby, he can’t find the woman who’s stolen his heart, but what he doesn’t know if that she’s standing right in front of her, but the worst thing of all is he doesn’t remember her, he was too drunk, but the reaction to her is palatable and he can’t quite figure out why he’s so drawn to her. These two dance around their rocky relationship. So many secrets, lies and a twist that you will not see coming and when it hits you, you will need to pick your jaw up off the floor.

The second Winston book is outstanding. Josi and Stacey are a dynamic duo with this series. This is Ryker and Ava's story. If you read and loved The Baby Arrangement, you will love this one. It will take you on an emotional rollercoaster. I was feeling everything the characters were feeling. Ryker deals with his father's death the only way he can, with booze and a woman. When he meets Ava they end up having one explosively hot night together. When Ava starts her new job, she realizes it is as Ryker's assistant. He doesn't remember her as the woman he can't forget about. He can't stop thinking about Ava and doesn't know what to do, and this has Reed giving Ryker a dose of his own medicine. When the brothers are together, they will have you laughing. This book had me crying and feeling so bad for Ryker and what he is really dealing with. My heart hurt so bad for him when I found out what he really felt about the death of both his parents. He keeps his emotions bottled up until they explode, and Ava ends up usually being at the end of it. Ava keeps things to herself because she doesn't want to be hurt like her mother was, so she is always second guessing herself. These two are perfectly matched for each other and they can help heal the other if the open up. This book has secrets and a big twist that will shock you. Ryker and Ava is another Winston couple you will cheer for. I can't wait for Remy's story. This is such a fantastic series. I definitely recommend reading this book, you won't be sorry. Though these are standalone, I think it is best to read them in order.

This emotional story is about Ryker and Ava, the second of the Winston Brothers series. Ryker played a big part in getting Fallon & Reed together in book one, so it's great to read his story. Grieving Ryker is hurting, big time. There are things he needed to say, over the course of years, that had never been said. It was hard to watch this good man hurt so much, and I loved the rawness of the cemetery scene. Ava has a quiet strength that goes along with her kindness. She gave freely to Ryker but also didn’t take his crap. Both of them, and their family & friends (except lucky Gabby) are going through either individual or shared troubles, and it's pretty hard to see other peoples' struggles when you are in the midst of it yourself. Falling in love wasn't easy for these two. I liked that most of the characters were all trying their best to carry on and support each other because it felt real. I really liked how book one and two tied together (although they can be read as standalones, I got a lot of pleasure out of having read both) and am looking forward to Remy's story.

First let me say y'all did it again what a beautiful story. Wow were do I begin to tell you how much I love Ryker and Ava. I don't want to tell you too much of what happened but just a little. Ryker is moody and angry at just about everyone since his father's illness then death. His way of dealing has been drinking and women and just being an ass. Ava is finishing up college and just landed a new job. She and her roommate Gabby are out at a bar celebrating her new job. Ryker comes into that same bar with one thing on his mind getting drunk and getting laid. She sees him across the bar and dubs him Mr. Serious. They are drawn to each other without even talking. They hook up later that night and when she wakes up and slips out without telling him. They both soon realize they never exchanged names. There are twist and turns that will have you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. At times I wanted to kick Ryker and other times I wanted to hug him and never let go. You will get a look at Ava's friends Gabby and Maria along with Reed, Fallon and Remy.💜

I absolutely loved book two of this series. Ryker was such a complex and interesting man. So different from Reed. He is more affected by the death of his father than Reed or Remy seem to be. Meeting Ava seemed to help him. The two meet and share one night together and when he wakes in the morning she's gone. Neither know the others name and Ryker is so upset with himself for not having gotten her name or phone number. Ava shows up weeks later as his new assistant. She is hut when it appears Ryker does not remember her. Ryker feels a pull toward Ava and doesn't know why. After their night together he continued to drink and that has clouded his memory. Ava doesn't let him know she is the girl he met. The two have great chemistry and eventually start up again. A few weeks pass and Ava realizes the one night she and Ryker share has lead to her being pregnant. Will she finally let him know they met long before she came to work for him? Will he figure it out on his own? What will happen when he does? This is such a great read and I loved the ending. I would love to see Remy get a storyof his own. Perhaps with Fallon's best friend, Mel, who seems to be interested in Remy.

After reading the first book, The Baby Arrangement, I knew that Ryker was going to be quite the gem. I really enjoyed his character. He was broody and oh so sexy. And Ava complimented his character really well with her understanding and good girl personality.

So what do you do when a one night stand goes wrong? Even more so what do you do when that one night stand turns out to be your new boss? And even worse yet! You find out that you are pregnant to said boss, who does not remember your one night stand? Yeah this is one of those books! It was packed with drama that kept you wanting more!

Ryker and Ava have a mountain of obstacles standing in their way. Their attraction to one another is off the charts and even though Ryker does not remember who Ava is, he is still drawn to her in a way only his mystery girl ever made him feel. And once he figures out that girl is actually Ava, all bets are off and he goes for what he wants.

Ryker is reeling from his father's death when he stops into a bar to drown his sorrows. He finds a mystery girl to whom he is instantly attracted and spends the night with her, thinking he'll get her name in the morning. Only, she's gone in the morning without a trace.

Ava is out celebrating her new job when she spots a brooding man across the bar. Their instant connection leads her to go with him and spend the night. However, in the morning, she leaves before getting or giving any names.

When she gets to her new job, she finds that somehow she is the assistant to the very same mystery man from the bar. ..only he doesn't act like he recognizes her. Only time will tell if these two can work things out.

Very much enjoyed this read and look forward to more from this author.

The Baby Mistake was a great read, I thoroughly enjoyed it and couldn't put it down. Although I also loved book 1, book 2 was 10x better. This story is full of emotion, angst and fabulous characters. You could read The Baby Mistake a standalone but so much better when you have already met some of the main characters.

This is Ava and Ryker's story, the night they meet is one of the worst days of his life while she is celebrating her future. They make love in a drunken nameless haze, leaving both obsessed with the other but not knowing who they are. That is until Ava arrives for her first day at her new job.

Ryker was grieving the loss of his father and ends up at a bar drowning his sorrows. Ava is out celebrating her new job with some friends when she notices a sexy stranger watching her. Ryker approaches Ava with the intention of spending the night with her which is just what she wants. The have a hot steamy night together but Ryker is upset to find her gone the next morning because he wanted more than one night. Ava is excited and nervous about her new job until she sees who her new boss is...Ryker. Ava struggles with her job when she realizes that Ryker doesn't remember her and that he isn't the man she thought he was. After a bad incident with Ava Ryker realizes the woman he has been looking for has been right under his nose all along but is it too late for him to show her the real him?

This was a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Ryker and Ava is steamy hot. This story will have you on the edge of your seat wanting to know how its going to end. I would recommend this to anyone that loves a great love story.

Loved this one!!!

I really enjoyed this second book. I really wasn't sure what to think of Ryker I felt like his character could have went the darker route or the overcome the pain. The way he decided to deal with his pain and with his brothers help changed his life in ways he could have never expected. This book does a really good job at showing that how you deal with your emotions can really effect for life in big ways. Ava is just an average girl out celebrating with her best friend that they are graduating college and starting her first paid internship. The night of celebrating starts a change of events that will change her life in so many ways. Also you are in for quit a shock at the end of the book when a secret is let out of the bag.

This story is the bomb I loved it, it’s the second book in the series and after finishing this one I carnt wait for the next. Ryker and his brothers Reed, Remy have just lost the father and they are all struggling in different ways with there grief Reed has his wife Fallon to comfort him but Remy and himself don’t, so Ryker takes to the bottle and drowns his sorrows at his local bar and wants to find a willing female to help with his pain and that’s when Ava walks in with her best friend Gabby to celebrate her new job with a few to many drinks under her belt she notices and hot guy across the room watching her now she is watching him and when there eyes meet nothing will keep them apart this night and what an amazing night it was for them both especially for Ava being a virgin she couldn’t have planned a better partner to lose it too and that’s when it all goes down hill when she finds out he is her new boss but he doesn’t remember her but she carnt forget him. Want more about this book read it it is amazing. I voluntarily read an arc copy of this book for an honest review.

I love a book that can not only touch your heart with strong emotions but also make you sweat from it's heat and steam. That is exactly what you get with this book. Ryker and Ava's romance starts off with an instant attraction, blistering chemistry, and a scorching one night stand. Backed by a story that offers plenty of drama, intensity, loss, pain, passion, and life changing love. Toss in secrets, lies, an a few surprises and you have a truly pleasurable read! The Baby Mistake is great read.emotional,touching,captivating story..it has family drama,intrigue,grief,secrets and hot and steamy scenes! just loved it! it's hard to put it down! it's a roller coaster ride of emotion that wil tug your heart and put you on edge while reading. well written story, great characters with off the charts chemistry. great addition to the series, can't wait for Remy's turn or Marie if she will have her own HEA. well done Ladies! The baby mistake is the second book in the Winston brothers series. This is Ryker and Ava’s story. After a horrible loss Ryker finds himself in a bar where he meets Ava. After spending the night together Ava sneaks out and Ryker doesn’t remember what happened. When Ava shows up at her new job she realizes Ryker is her new boss and doesn’t remember her. What happens when Ava finds out she’s pregnant? This book was so good! These two authors make such a good team, I can’t wait to read what they wrote next!!

I really enjoyed Reed and Fallon's story from book one but I think Ava and Ryker's story in book two bypassed them for me. I loved the emotional and vulnerable side of Ryker we got to see. The cemetery scene brought tears to my eyes.

Ava and Ryker had an instalust/instalove storyline, but it worked for them. There were some roadblocks along the way, some secrets (past and present) revealed, and some steamy scenes. I can't wait to read Remy's story next!

Read this book in just a few hours, that’s how good it was. I fell in love with the Winston brothers in the first book. I think I love this one more! There was so much more in this book, more heart, more tears, more pain and more happiness! Throw in a dash of surprise and this is one fantastic read!! I loved Reed and Fallon but Ryker had me wanting to throat punch him at times and then want to pull him into my arms to comfort him. He’s lucky to have Ava!! Thank you for yet another great book and I cannot wait to read more about the Winston family!!

This book was an okay read for me. It's the first book I've read in this series so I believe it can be read as a standalone without having any problems following the story. I really liked the beginning of the story but after a while the story just became an okay read for me. I didn't feel the love between Ava and Ryker that I was hoping to feel between the two main characters. There were some sweet moments between them but that was all it seemed. I also thought that Marie's attitude with Ava was a bit overdramatic. I know her secret with Ryker and his brothers was a complete surprise, but her and Ava had been friends for years and she acted childish about the whole situation. However, I liked the ending once the truth finally came out between them. This story wasn't a bad read it was just an okay read for me because I expected a bit more and needed to feel more of a connection between the main characters.
