Only For You: A Small Town Single Dad Romance (Valentine Bay Book 4) Kindle Edition
He’s my new roommate. The best friend I’ve loved forever. But now he’s a scorching-hot single dad and there’s only one bed.
I am so screwed.
You know the story about “that girl” in high school? Well, that was me, but I’d never let a lousy rumour rule my life. I took every word and rewrote the script. Abigail Ellison: all game, no shame.
It’s kind of my brand.
Will Kidd is an irresistible bartender with a rep of his own. He wants me. I want him. But I refuse to be a notch on his bedpost or let him be another on mine.
When a baby wearing his dimples lands on Will’s doorstep the same day I come begging for a place to crash, Will finally gets serious—and his overprotective daddy vibe is seriously hot.
Now we’re raising a baby in Will’s loft. It’s tense. We’re stressed. Will can’t keep sleeping on the sofa and I’m months into a never-ending man-drought, but we know one way to blow off steam…
In no time at all, everything good in my world looks like all the things I never wanted. The man, the home, the business, the baby… But it’s impossible to believe any of it is mine to keep.
After all, former bad girls and reformed playboys don’t get happily-ever-afters… Do they?

Samantha Leigh's Vallentine's Bay series continues with the release of “Only For You”, which chronicles the endearing story of Will and Abby. Despite not having read the preceding books, I found myself engrossed in this single dad, forced proximity, friends to lovers standalone read.
Will and Abby share a deep friendship, often teasing and flirting with each other, but they have never taken their relationship beyond that - not even with a kiss. A pact was made between them to never get married or have children, allowing them to pursue their "player" lifestyle while still having each other's companionship now and in old age. However, a sudden twist of fate occurs when Abby's apartment and yoga studio are both flooded due to a burst pipe, and Will discovers that he has a son after the child's mother abandons him. Abby turns to Will after the flood leaves her without a place to stay. Upon arriving, she stumbles upon the unexpected surprise of Will's newfound fatherhood. Despite being caught off guard by the unexpected news of Will's son, Abby can't help but feel that it was a twist of fate that brought her to his doorstep. She believes that she is meant to help Will with his son, especially since he is embarking on a new business venture and needs all the assistance he can get.
The story is a beautiful blend of romance and the difficulties that come with love and parenthood. The character development throughout was a true delight, especially as it captures the essence of the challenges that people face in their relationships, especially for characters like Will and Abby, who have never been with anyone long term. Their bond with Will’s son Seb, and their journey as a family, were heartwarming and beautiful. The humor in the story was well-timed and added a lighthearted touch to the plot, while the emotional scenes were touching and relatable, making me feel invested in the characters' journey. The spice in the story added an extra layer of excitement and intensity, making it impossible to put down. The story is a testament to the fact that relationships are not always easy, but with the right attitude and effort, it is possible to overcome the challenges and build a strong and lasting partnership.
Samantha Leigh did an excellent job of reintroducing the charming town of Valentine's Bay and Will and Abby’s friends, leaving me eager to learn more about their stories. I recommend “Only For You” to anyone in search of a heartwarming and witty, friends-to-lovers story. Its perfect blend of spice, humor, and tenderness is sure to make it a favorite of romance readers.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2024I’m here for the dom daddy energy. This was cute. Best friends to lovers and a cute baby? Yes please. Was there a huge plot? Not really but total rom com vibes. I’d watch the movie.

MY. HEART.
Ok HANDS DOWN, DADDY WILL STEALS THE SPOTLIGHT FOR THIS SERIES. This book was incredible, once I opened it I couldn’t put it down. I was absolutely enamored!
I have been waiting for Will and Abbie’s story since book one, and now I understand why it was saved for last. It is THE BEST. 100% worth the wait.
Will is known as Valentine Bay’s playboy, and his best friend Abbie is not much different. The two always avoiding commitment, have never given in to the attraction they have for one another.
When a woman shows up at Will’s door, with his baby son he didn’t know about, his life takes a quick turn.
Abbie’s yoga studio and home gets water damage after a pipe bursting, and she moves into WIll’s loft for a few days. Her few days living with Will and helping with his baby, turn into weeks. These two realize maybe they could be more to one another aside from just friends. Taking care of his baby changes the both of them. I think the growth of these characters is what we’ve all hoped for throughout this entire series. They both mature so much in this story. Watching Will go from the playboy bar owner to a father was incredibly heart melting. Abbie finally admitting to herself her feelings for Will, had me practically bouncing in my seat.
These two were without a doubt my favorite. Daddy Will has sky rocketed to the top of my list as #1 book husband material.
These two were nothing short of DYNAM!T3 together. The spice scenes were PERFECT.
The bathroom scene? Not a dry seat in the house.
Freaking LOVED THIS!

4.0 out of 5 stars friends to lovers and a surprise baby
Okay this was such a cute and fun book with tropes that I always crave for 🤭 meddling families and friends.
The connection and vibe between Will & Abbie was so amazing to see. The vulnerability of both the characters was raw, I love seeing imperfect characters and how they grow personally as well as in their relationship.

5.0 out of 5 stars An enjoyable read.
I loved this plot. It was well paced, the characters were great and well written, and I loved their connection, which was evident as they had been best friends, and they both struggled with trying to keep their relationship platonic, especially now that they were living together, and looking after a baby. I enjoyed the journey to their happy ending. This book adds to the already amazing series that Samantha has written.

4.0 out of 5 stars Book Review - Only for you
Will and Abby had the longest lead up ever, we have been teased with these two since book one.
Since day one these two have had this flirty banter with each other, despite their friendship always being platonic.
Will is the hot bartender who has a player reputation and Abby is the girl who will never settle down, but you could always tell there was something else under the surface, with all the flirty banter.
We finally got a look into the lives of will and Abby and to see why they are the way they are, some major curve balls hit their lives and things take a quick and steamy turn into the less platonic and we see the transition for Will & Abby from friends into Lovers and further into a family.
This was the best story to end this series on.
I’m looking forward to where Samantha takes us next.
