You know the stories Rue loves to write. The ones filled with heroes who make you swoon, anti-heroes who smile viciously as the world burns down around them, just as long as the woman they love stands at their side… Then there are the happily ever afters that bring you to your knees whether you want to be there or not.

One More Kiss Anthology is a collection of short stories from over 50 authors. The following are reviews for the books I read from the anthology.

Review for Coming Back Around by Eve L. Mitchell.
Peyton has returned to her childhood home after the death of her aunt, where she discovers a whole world of lies/misconceptions all to protect her.
The range of emotions written in Coming Back Around takes you through heartbreak, anger, love and acceptance.
From the very first interaction between Peyton and Ethan you’ll be drawn into their story and needing to know more about the history these two have.
I’ve never needed a couple to find their HEA more, than I did with Peyton and Ethan, as the connection built with these characters in so few words was truly brilliant.
If you want a small town novella to read with miscommunication and second chance romance all rolled into one, then this is the story for you.

Side note: This story got me out of a reading slump, and I loved everything about it.

*Additional reviews to be added for the other books in the collection.

My review of this book is base on the following stories:

HIS PRIVATE DANCER by ES McMillan

This short story is about Axel & Bella, and I strongly recommend you first read Axel's Anchor to fully enjoy it.
After everything that happened between Axel and Bella, he's ready to win her back!!!
And I understand Bella’s concerns but she’s got to see that Axel was not at fault.

A STOLEN MOMENT by Elizabella Baker

When we first got introduced to Monica in Ashlynn Savior I knew I wanted more of her….. and here we have it!!!

And Monica doesn’t disappoint, although this story is short we still get to see the bad a$$ that she is!!! #Queen

And please, please tell me we get to see more of Luke’s team?!!!!!

ELEVATORS AND RULES by J.L. Beck & C. Hallman

The more I read of this duo the more I become a fan of!!

This story had me tearing up, which I already expected, what I didn't expect was how sweet the story will be. I guess I got used to the dark side of this authors.. 🤣

😉 Anna and Paul, like he said 'That was one hell of an elevator ride.'!!!

Looking forward to the rest of the stories!

Review of MORE THAN A MEMORY by Dee Lagasse.

"I'm so enamored with this story. There's no doubt Dee has a unique writing ability for us readers to connect with the characters and their emotions making the story even more special. What happened to Lochlyn was scary and couldn't even begin to imagine what it must felt that but all the support she received was overwhelming and beautiful. There was angst, anger and lots of crying but ultimately an everlasting love that was tested. Milo couldn't have been more perfect. Supportive, sweet, caring and so patient. There's no doubt that when is meant to be like Lochlyn and Milo their love is more than a memory. *if you know, you know* An utterly perfect short story."

This review is for More than a Memory by Dee Lagasse:

A great short story about with great characters in Milo and Lochlyn whose love is tested when Lochlyn has a car accident and loses her memory of Milo and their life together. A sweet story that will capture your heart with their love and Milo’s strength to help Lochlyn get her memories back. Would love to read more about them in the future.

I received an arc copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Payton and Ethan's story may be short but it will give you all the feels. I love a small town romance...throw in 1st love, mistaken ideals and miscommunication, years of separation and a tragedy to bring them back together and you have yourself a magic read over a cup of coffee and a slice of chocolate cake. Eve writes beautifully and I loved this quick story as much as I love all of her longer books. Short but wonderful.

This review is for April D. Berry's Cut to the Heart of It

CJ is a writer, with a day job she hates. She longs to be a full time writer. Her writer friends tell her about a cabin a few hours from her house, where they have gone and written in solitude. Taking some time off her day job, she books the cabin and heads out.
Johnny lives off the beaten path outside a small town. He rents out the cabins on his land. A lonely, single dad, he spends his time outdoors.
The day after CJ arrives at the cabin, a storm comes and knocks down trees.
Stranded from his house, he is forced to take refuge in the cabin CJ has rented.
This is a steamy, fast paced romance. I think everyone who reads it will fall for Johnny, just like I did.

Review of Coming Back Around by Eve L Mitchell

This is a nice short read about Peyton and Ethan who have a second chance at love. Both have quite a bit of baggage from their past which causes a bit of drama when Peyton comes back to town. Even though this is a short story, Eve manages to pack a whole bunch in there and you get invested in the characters and their story

More than a Memory written by Dee Lagasse for this anthology is a story that instantly pulls you in, each chapter leaving you a bit breathless and then when you finish their journey you believe in all the everythings. Dee has this ability to have this strong sense of family in her stories, woven tightly in to the love story you’ve read. Lochlyn and Milo’s journey has all you want, they are strong, they have struggles and they believe. Definitely a story you don’t want to miss!

WORTH THE WAIT by Morgan James

Worth the Wait is a quick and easy read that is part of the One More Kiss Anthology. This book was heart-wrenching in its emotional angst, highs and lows of the two main characters’ struggles as they help each other try to get what they each need. I love the way Morgan James developed her characters and tells their story, it captivated me from the start. Morgan James made me laugh and cry, often times in the same sentence. Mick Romero did something he shouldn’t have when he was a teen, but because he was dared to participate from peer pressure, he had to face the repercussions for his action. Fast forward 12 years later, Andrea and her daughter had car trouble on the side of the road. Mick is an automobile mechanic, so he stopped to assist Andrea and her daughter. I fell head over heels for Mick and Andrea as well as Madison (Maddie), the six year old, and I have no doubt you will too. Everything was so good at first for Andrea and Mick—they were so right for each other—until they weren’t. But life managed to tear them apart, and Mick shattered Andrea’s heart in the process. Why? Will Andrea be able to forgive Mick and his sins of the past? Will Andrea be able to walk away from Mick? The chemistry between Mick and Andrea is undeniable and they were combustible. I liked how Morgan James brought the the darkness to light as well as showing how bad things end up when a person engages with unlawful substances the the painful consequences they endure. What happens next? Well, read this amazing story. This was a well written story that I would recommend.

Lunar Magic is a short story by Jessica Wayne that appears in the One More Kiss Anthology.
I received an advanced reader copy for an honest review.
Drexel is a hunter and kills vampire. Magnolia is the woman he is in love with, but they were young, and she left without an explanation. With no reason to stay in Montana he has traveled around and continued to hunt.
Magnolia is a witch with lunar magic, she needs to learn how to control it so she can protect herself and not be a liability to others.
One night Magnolia appears in Drexel’s apartment, she needs his help, she is being followed. The two of them stay together so they can discover who this stranger is and what he wants from Magnolia. The more time they spend together the closer they become. They love each other and hopefully they will get the chance to be together but first they need to find out who is after Magnolia. I loved this short story. The characters are amazing, and the story is original.

Review for More Than A Memory by Dee Lagasse

When I first started this book I thought to myself "another sports story," but I was so very wrong.
I cried.
Ugly cried.
Dee has ruined real life men when she created Milo.
"I love you more than tacos," is now a steeple in my home except he's Italian so I say I love him more than pizza and he responds with he loves me more than another type of pasta each time *insert eye roll here*
She has insecurities and he is a pro athlete. I'm sure most women I know would be beside themselves if a man in that field of business *wink* even looked at us like we were as beautiful as Milo makes Lochlyn out to be.
I need more of this love story that is "so much more than a memory."
It's the partnership everyone needs. It's what I live by in my relationship.
When one is down and out the other becomes their rock.
Milo is who everyone should be inspired to be like for their partner.

This review is only for Worth the Wait written by Morgan James.

I absolutely loved this story! Mick has just been released from prison where he was doing time for a mistake he made as a teenager. He gets a job at his cousins auto shop fixing cars. One night driving home he comes across single mom Andrea whose car broke down. She takes her car to the shop where Mick fixes it. She asks him over for dinner one day and he accepts. As soon as Mick and Andrea met you could feel they were going to have a great connection and they did. I loved that Mick blended in with the girls and Maddie accepted him with open arms and he became a great father for her. Mick, Andrea and Maddie made such a cute little family then you add in the surprise hea it gets even better.

Brilliant anthology.
Review for Eve L Mitchell - Coming back around:
It's always hard coming home. but for Peyton there are so many memories that mean so much have also broken her in so many different ways. This is a great short that i really hope Eve turns into so much more.

Review for Jenn D Young - Colourful scars:
Jenika is facing some of her fears and also is braving meeting people who know more about her than others. Deepest and darkest secrets are revealed. Rhys and Anders cannot wait to meet Jenika and spent time with her, but will they come off too strong and scare her away? Brilliant read which i want more off.

Worth the Wait by Morgan James is an absolutely great book.

Mick is peer pressured into doing something that he doesn’t want to do. That decision leads him to a life changing punishment that will stick with him forever.
Andrea has a daughter, that is her world and after being a single mom she is protective and cautious when it comes to males.
A chance meeting, leads to a romance that is exactly what these two need to make a life of bad decisions and wrong people turn into something that is worth fighting for.

Worth the wait by Morgan James
This was a great story about forgiveness and accepting yourself.
Mick had been to jail for 12 years and just got out and was working as a mechanic, when he meets Andrea and her daughter Maddie when their car breaks down.
This is romantic, steamy, dramatic and emotional. I loved how Mick is honest with Andrea from the start and she trusts him. I also loved how despite his reservations he jumps into fatherhood with gusto. So nice to read. This really was a wonderful story and part of this anthology.

Worth the Wait by Morgan James. Mick was sent to jail as a teenager now he’s working as a mechanic in his cousin’s garage. Andrea and her daughter Maddie have only had each other. When Andrea car breaks down on the side of the road with her daughter in the car Mick stops to offer his help. Soon they are spending time together. This is a beautifully written heart warming story with plenty of heat heat and a happy ending. I received an Arc copy of Worth the Wait and highly recommend this story by Morgan James.

A great collection of authors in this anthology

This is a review for Coming Back Around by Eve L. Mitchell

A lovely short read about Peyton and Ethan.
Peyton returns home following the death of her Aunt to find her old love Ethan now living in the house and working the ranch. Having left suddenly and no explanations on either part there was definitely a tense ‘welcoming’ home.

Even though this is an anthology short, Eve definitely gets more than enough for you get invested in the characters and their story.

I really enjoyed this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Eve

My review is for Lunar Magic by Jessica Wayne

10 years after the happenings of Healed by the Fae, we have this short story about finding your second chance at love after loss, tragedy, and needing to just find yourself. Drexel is a hunter that is making a go at life without the one we lost. Magnolia is a witch that just needed time. It was nice to see some 'friends' we hadn't talked to in awhile. I really enjoyed it.

Worth the wait by Morgan James:
What can I say? It’s a beautifully well written story. This is also a pretty quick read as I finished in under an hour. Don’t let that fool you though!! Mick and Andrea have SO MUCH chemistry in such a short period of time. Plus Maddie is adorable. This was the perfect swoon worthy story that I could read while my son was down for a nap. I didn’t feel like anything was lacking.

So far, this review is only for Lunar Magic by Jessica Wayne. One of my favorite authors!

Interesting story with a second chance at love scenario! Vampire hunter Drexel and Witch Magnolia had a connection when they were younger, but separated and haven’t seen each other in awhile. There’s some danger following Magnolia, so she goes to Drexel for help. Entertaining, sweet short story!

Looking forward to the other stories!

I just finished the story, Worth the Wait by Morgan James, from this anthology and it was honestly a super sweet and quick read. It was a bit steamy in parts but the sweetness by far outweighed it. It was a real life kinda story that unfortunately for some parts could happen and do. I recommend this story for a quick, make you smile, kinda story.
