Failed within 8 months.
The display started failing within 8 months of owning it. Pretty fast for a $650 monitor. Samsung used to be my favorite but their QC is absolutely abysmal and I won't be buying a product of theirs ever again. Been trying to fill out a warranty request on their website for 48 hours and due to server issues I cannot submit it. Not even talking about how buggy the monitor can be when it's functioning properly. Cannot recommend this monitor at all.

This monitor came pre calibrated and the picture looks fantastic. 240hz without blurring. And it works just fine with my Vega 56 (yes I know I need to upgrade but there's nothing available). I'm happy with this in HDR and SDR. Out of the box, not a thing needs to be adjusted. This is all based on the T1 Faker edition. Also, this uses a different firmware than the G7 but it already has all the fixes, so I didn't need to update it. The curve is nice, I'd say it's best to be within two feet of it, as further away the curve is noticeable. The resolution is perfect for the games I play.

Monitor has been great so far. It's a little more saturated than my ips panel but otherwise it's great! Thought I was gonna hate the curve but when switching back to my flat monitor it feels really weird. Just make sure you have a flashdrive and update the firmware when you get it. Apparently it had flickering problems but they seemingly are fixed.

For a very expensive monitor, it does not live up to the hype. Frequently have “black screen” (no picture). Flickering problems as well. If you want a headhache buy the odyssey!

I was a lil skeptical buying at first because of the curve, when it’s all said and done, I feel like it’s no different then a flat monitor. Great monitor overall with a very good refresh rate

Not too much to say, I have had it for about 8 months and there has been a dead pixel for about 4 of them...thankfully it is up and right so I don't notice it too often, but if the field is dark THERE IT IS! The monitor is smooth, graphics are amazing and everything else is well worth it. Not sure what I will do long term about the dead pixel.

Just an excellent monitor. Replaced an LG 1440p 140hz monitor. This monitor is soooo much sharper and better for gaming. I immediately started doing better in COD Cold War and Valorant. I know a friend who bought the same monitor (he was the one that recommended this to me), and he loves this too. The 240hz refresh rates is AWESOME! If you have a NVIDIA RTX 3000 or 2000 series GPU, you need to get one of these.

The latest firmware for this display is 1003.1, supposedly this is the equivelant to 1009.3 on the original but there is HEAVY flickering when using G-Sync on 100+ fps titles such as Minecraft, and any eSports title. Occasionally the OSD locks up, preventing you from changing anything and not rendering different resolutions correctly. This is fixed by unplugging and replugging the monitor from the wall but this happens EXTREMELY OFTEN, especially for a monitor this expensive. Samsung are aware that specifically the T1 Faker Edition of this monitor has issues, of which the regular G7 also has. They even have firmware updates to fix those issues, but ONLY for the original G7, not the Faker Edition. This makes the monitor literally inferior to the original G7. Samsung are completely capable of fixing these issues and there are many forum posts on their website sharing the same grievances but they have done NOTHING.

TLDR: Avoid specifically the T1 Faker, it has issues the original had patched. Samsung will NOT patch this monitor's firmware.

And NO, you can NOT flash the original's firmware onto the T1 Faker monitor. You used to be able to do this with a file rename and it be fine with the 1005.6 firmware, but Samsung have went out of their way to make sure you cannot do that anymore with newer firmware. Something they have done with the file literally prevents the T1 Faker from even seeing it on the drive.

1.0 out of 5 stars Manchas azules en las orillas
Reviewed in Mexico on January 4, 2021

3.0 out of 5 stars Sería un monitor de 4.5 estrellas...
