    Great Bubble Flare Tool
This tool does what it is suppose to do. You need to follow the instructions that come with the tool to make perfect bubble flares. I used this tooling to make 22 bubble flares. Eighteen at the 4.75mm size and four at the 6mm size. In reading some of the negative reviews for this tool, I was skeptical on purchasing it. Especially at the price it was offered. But after watching a few online videos and reading the positive reviews, I purchased it. I have been working on my own vehicle for forty years. You need to read the instructions fully, and do a little homework before using a tool that you never used before. I would recommend this tool and purchase it again if needed. Please look at my included pictures of the first three flares I did. AS you can see from the pictures, it does work. My only negative comment I have is that I think the tool is a little over priced. That said, the saying you only get what you pay for is a "True Statement"

This product is far better than I had hoped. It puts the autozone OEM brake flaring tool to shame. It allowed me to make my first excellent bubble flare and did it on my first try. I also have the sense that I could do as good a job for hundreds of additional flares using this tool, although I hope that I won't need to. Doing brake jobs on my cars is one of my least favorite tasks - right up there with muffler work. With this tool and a 25 foot roll of 3/16" coated brake tube, I almost look forward to my next brake job or at least don't dread it so much.

The thing that I particularly like is the fact that the flaring bits screw into the press so that they don't tip to one side and a nice even flare is practically guaranteed. The bits also look to be much more sturdy than other systems that I have tried. I think that it would be very difficult to break the bits, in sharp contrast to the OEM product that I rented. Even at free, that product was way too expensive in terms of time and aggravation.

The other thing that I like is that the pipe press clamps firmly but does not distort the brake pipe, again in sharp contrast to the OEM product that I tried. In my hands, at least, the OEM system made a real hatchet job of my brake pipe.

It is a little odd in that the sizes of this system are metric rather than inch fractions but I checked and the 4.75 mm is almost exactly the same as 3/16". I assume that the other sizes are also inch fraction equivalents, although I personally have never had to deal with anything other than 3/16" brake tube.

I couldn't be happier with this product. It feels like a truly professional product at an amateur price. OTC really hit one out of the park with their 4504 Stinger ISO Bubble Flaring Tool Kit .

A good tool for the value . The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the gauge . The instructions say to set the stick out as per the notch on the wrench included . I made several flares , which all were properly finished after cutting a length of 1/4” mild steel line found in auto parts stores . Properly reamed inside diameter and outside and level on top , square . The stick out the notch instructs you to use is too long . I reduced it to half that , 1/8” . It produced a nice bubble ISO flare . Other than the notch , the tool seems well made . Nice design . The die threads into the forcing screw to prevent unevenly apply force . The tool deserves 5 stars if not for the incorrect notch cut . 1/8” stick out is all that’s needed for this tool to produce a nice bubble ISO flare . That’s the only error I found . I would recommend this tool for any diy”er or even a professional to save money on more expensive tools , if purchased , try a flare and see . I believe my recommendation should suffice . I’m no professional but I do strive for the best results I can for a satisfactory repair .

Easy to use - it only took a minute or two to figure this out. Instructions aren't fantastic, but there was enough information there for me to do a perfect flare on the first try. I practiced on a short piece of 3/16" brake line I had prior to actually doing the flares on the vehicle. I did all four corners, and the flaring itself took about 5-10 min per. Getting the brake lines to a position where I could actually use the flare tool took the vast majority of the time, just due to the vehicle design and where the lines were located. Once I attached the new lines, I had no leaks on the first try - that tells me that this tool is very good.

Ok ,a bit dramatic, but this tool does such a terrible job that for anyone inexperienced it could have consequences - leaky fiitings which at the very least could cause some inconvienience.photo - on the top what it should look like, on the bottom a typical result with this tool. This tool leaves heavy marks on the tubing and the flare can easily be lopsided with a prounounced step if the clamping jaws are not very carefully aligned so the two top surfaces are even. A bit hard to see this "step" in the photo. Professional tools to do this are typical several hundred dollars ...there is a reason. a $50 tool isn't going to cut it, On the OTH there are some choices in the $100 range that produce good and consistent results, just not as fast as a "pro" tool.

    Where to start ?
1- the tool work fine, easy of use and make a good job

But : is it real otc brand?? I own a balljoint otc kit in a grey case and the tool finish quality is way better! I can’t say the same thing with this bubble brake tool!!

The finish is not as i expected. i own an other brand double flare kit that has 15+ years and all the parts are polished and shiny

It come in a little plastic case. Perfect for storage when not used

You’re going to say why the 5 stars ???
I give 5 stars because the tool makes bubble flare easy and precise enough each time

If I was just looking at my tool I’ll probably give 3stars. But me I work with my tool what I want is tool able to do what i need and this is what my otc bubble flairing tool do 👍

On the white page that’s attached to the inside of the cover it even says “Bosch Automotive Solutions Inc, Owatonna MN 55060 USA” as you might be able to see from the picture attached.

Great tool for the money... BUT!
To get decent bubble flares make sure to use a tubing cutter and chamfer the inside of the tubing! If you don't you will consistently crimp or crush the flare.

I bought this kit to do the brake lines on my 2002 Chrysler 300M Special. This kit made making the flares one of the easiest parts of the whole process. Out of 16 flares I did on the car, none of them leaked and I even reused most of my fittings. Just follow the instructions provided and all should go well. I used Nickel/Copper Alloy lines instead of regular steel lines to make bending the lines easier. For the price, this kit is awesome. The only thing I would say it's missing is a de-burring tool (I just used a rotary tool to speed it up).
