Quality sound. Very loud. Durability is questionable though. I melted mine after 3 months. Customer support is great. Contacted sundown audio and had a replacement sent back. I now have the x8 v.3 d2 and its amazing. Just be careful of your amp settings. If you're using a back filling line out converter or equivalent processor be careful of distortion and pre gain settings. A custom designed box is a must for this sub. Won't work as intended in a cheap box. Full disclosure: I melted my x8 v.2 d2 on 900 watts @ 4ohm using a Kicker cxa 1800.1 . Coil one was damaged first followed by coil 2 about 3 weeks later. It is my fault. Had the lc2i by Audio Controller set too high. I recommend an amp I little smaller than mine maybe 1200.

This little monster is worth every penny spent. Top quality construction, double monster spider woven tencels with 8 gauge terminals. I have mine Tuned at 35hz in a 1cu ft. slot port box paired with a sundown sae1000D at 1ohm it sounds amazing! Great sound quality, (always ran jl audio in the past) great lows and exceptionally loud and impressive for an 8" subwoofer. The sae1000d amp provides great volume response from the head unit and plenty of pure clean crisp power to the sub. I was skeptical when buying this but now I will go all sundown after this purchase!

One of these little speakers hits the LOW notes like 2 decent quality 12" subs with the right amp. The enclosure I used was tuned to 34.33 hz. The speaker is powerful & impressive. The build & quality is impressive.
The only reason this sub didn't work for me is I'm after tighter, punchier bass.. Not just loud boom boom. If you're chasing booming bass this speaker is for you. If you're after tighter, more responsive SQ bass.. You might want to look at something else. I went back to a 12"w6 for the frequencies I was missing with this 8". I was trying to downsize from 2 -12"w6 to save trunk space.

I absolutely love this sub! I had bought it to replace 2 Polk Audio 12s I had in my trunk. They were in a 5.3 cubic foot bandpass box and took up to much space in my trunk. I was very impressed with how this 8 inch performed it hits hard and plays lows like you wouldn't expect from how small it is. Although it hits hard it still doesnt hit as hard as my 12s did but that is expected. I was not disappointed what so ever with this sub it was a great purchase and now I gotta add another one to my system cause I love it!

HOLY COW!!! This 8inch sub rocks!!! After the initial break in period, the sound gets better!! I have a punch 1000x5 running my entire system. The front channels are bridged, and so is the sub channel. It's getting around 500watts of clean power. this thing can handle loads of power, but for now i'm satisfied with current setup, might consider getting another one, but i'm concerned about losing my hearing.

This little guys is heavy! I am running a pioneer 7700-bt head unit and sound is crystal clear.

However, the price is a bit much, I suggest buying the CT sounds Meso 8 instead.The CT sounds meso 8 is just as loud if not louder, but is (in my opinion) built better. Both are great, cannot go wrong here. I have included pictures of me testing both subs.

Don't think twice, BUY IT! you don't regret it, this thin hots hat and lower than my buddy's 2 15's in a Tahoe and mines in a 2 for Mazda pickup. Ohm out is spot on, works great in about a 2 cube box with about 20 square inches of port about 30 inches long, I have it on a power acoustic razor 2500.1 at 1 ohm and never bottomed out or burnt the coil, and this thing will move about 4 inches all together! That's insane for a 8" subwoofer
