Highest accolades to Caribou Blend Medium Roast! This coffee is extremely smooth, rich, and full-bodied, but not heavy or brash. I brew 1 TBSP for each 6 oz. cup. It is a blend from a rich, hearty, woodsy, Indonesian bean with spicy fruit tones from Central and South America. It is incredibly smooth and lusciously rolls over your tongue. They certainly know how to grow their coffee beans down there and blend them perfectly! The Caribou Coffee website describes this blend as follows: " Caribou Blend is an inspired merging of sweet, spicy and berry notes for a smooth, relaxing, down-to-earth cup. A cup of Caribou Blend is perfect for any time of the day!"

Other Caribou Coffee blends I have tried seemed too strong, acidic and bitter but NOT this one! It is fantastic! If you are a Starbuck's fan, try this coffee, you will never go back! It is slightly more expensive when compared to the Jamaican specialty blend, ( a different brand), I order, but it is worth every cent! I look forward to serving this to family and friends!

A very smooth, classic, yummy, medium roast!

The Caribou Medium Roast Blend Coffee is a great way to start your day. Better than any ground coffee on the market beats Starbucks and Seattle's Best hands down. It has an awesome heavenly aroma while brewing in the Mr. Coffee maker. Finally a coffee that doesn't give me the caffeine jitters, or keep me from sleeping at night (I normally only drink 1, sometimes 2 cups a day). The package is nice and heavy with great color graphics. Quality blend for those that don't like real strong coffee or too much caffeine. It has a nice rich smooth amazing mellow flavor, no bitterness, acidic or overwhelming aftertaste. Perfect balance, delicious not to weak or to strong, very impressed with the bold satisfying taste. It is great hot or as a cold drink sweetened with sugar and creamer over ice. I like the fact that it is a sustainable product, but it isn't organic, I normally purchase organic coffee when available in my area.

The Best Everyday Home Brewed Coffee

My wife loves this coffee so I got her some for Christmas. She is soooo happy and Wal-Mart has the best price and delivery.

Caribou - Wow

The best way to buy coffee is to go to your local coffee shop and get some fresh roasted whole bean coffee. When you are ready to drink some, grind what you need fresh and brew. But let’s face it, not everyone is near a local coffee shop. The next best thing is to buy your coffee whole bean. In this case, however, the Caribou coffee medium roast I received is already ground. So how good is it? Actually, it tasted pretty good. I also reviewed their dark roast which I also felt was quite good. I would definitely recommend this coffee. In fact, I’d like to try some of their other coffee blends. They have a nice web site where you can order online if you wish.

Caribou coffee is a sustainable coffee. They teamed up with the Rainforest Alliance certification program which makes sure farmers are fairly compensated, and the environment is protected. Each bag is guaranteed fresh or they will replace it according to what’s written on the bag.

Strongly recommend

I drink my coffee with a little cream and I have found this medium blend to be a perfect It has a very nice , I guess I can say bold coffee flavor. And it has no bitter aftertaste. If you are a black coffee drinker, I find it has a potent strong taste to it, but it is still very smooth as indicated. I usually brew a full 10 cups which in my world equals 4 plus mugs. I even tried it by brewing a half pot in my brewer, and and it still tasted great after a little adjustment of the coffee. I have tried many different brands and this is up there with the best of them IMO

Excellent Blend

Very refreshing taste in this blend! I drink lot of coffee, but have never tried this brand and was pleasantly happy! Definitely in my shopping list for the next time as well!

Great taste!

Product has a good aromatic smell but that is where it ends. I drink Medium Blend coffee, but this brand was not up to standard. I used double the required amount in making coffee and it just barely made the grade. This would mean it would not be worth the value to use. I do realize that individual taste factors in to whether you do or do not like this coffee, so you may want to try and see if you like. Bottom line is that flavor does matter and at the required amounts required to make this coffee it would not be worth it for me.

Weak on flavor

I was looking forward to trying this coffee to compare taste and price with our usual brand. Our usual brand is also a medium roast. We tried it every morning for 4 days. The instructions on the package recommend using one tablespoon of coffee per cup of water. This sounded like way too much as we only use 4 tablespoons for 8 cups of our regular brand. We tried our usual formula the first day. The coffee seemed a little thin on flavor, so we tried 5 tablespoons per 8 cups the next day. This seemed like a pretty good strength, but we still didn't like the taste of the coffee as well as our usual brand. It lacked the deep roasted mellow taste we are used to. We tried another pot with these proportions. We still didn't like the taste. So we tried the next pot using 6 tablespoons per 8 cups of water just to give it another chance. This resulted in making it stronger than we like, plus it had a slight bitter taste. We still did not like it. Even if the price of the Caribou coffee was considerably less than our regular brand, we would not buy it. We just did not like the taste.
