I was a bit hesitant to purchase this safe based on some reviews stating that the fingerprint reader did not always work. It actually works amazingly well. The trick is, first, to scan one finger multiple times. I scanned and memorized my left and right thumbs at least ten times each, every time, doing slight variations of the thumb’s position (deep in the reader, rotated, centered, slightly sideways, etc.). Now that all these variables are in the memory, the safe opens every single time. The motor that opens the door is very quiet.
You also get a very long key with this safe (important bc. other models come with sort keys that are easily defeated by basic lock picking). Great.
The interior has a soft gray lining that protects your belongings from scratches. There’s a horizontal divider that you can adjust or remove easily.
Battery life is very good, and every time you open the door you see the battery status (so there’s no way you’ll run out of battery without knowing it).
Setting this up was a breeze. Instructions were easy. The safe’s wall are thick, the lock looks strong.
I’ve bolted my safe within a shelf, hidden behind books. And using it is a very satisfying experience: it feels like a device out of a spy movie.
I’ve bought it as a utilitarian EDC safety box (kind of boring), and it turns out this little safe is so fun to use every day. Highly recommended.
