Update 04/01/23. I bought a 2nd one for an elongated toilet. The installation was easier this time since I ignored the instructions from the manual lol. Better instructions:1. Turn off the water and drain the toilet bowl tank.2. Put a pan under for water leakage and disconnect the inlet hose from the tank bottom.3. Connect the water inlet hose and L shaped end of white bidet hose to T adapter. It's easier to do this before you install the T.2. Connect T to tank.3. Then installed the mounting bracket, in my case, as far from the water tank as it would let me so the seat can snap into place later. Pull the bracket towards you as you tighten the screws. Make sure the washer is installed the way the picture shows in manual (the only time I followed the manual).4. Attach the bidet hose to toilet seat5. Slide toilet seat onto mounting bracket until you hear a click. Check the button on the side to make sure it is not still depressed. When properly in place the toilet seat does not shift at all. Try pulling the seat towards you. If it slides forward, you didn't push it in far enough. This is the cause of all the reviews who say the toilet slides, shifts, or doesn't stay in place.Important: Ignore the instructions about turning it 1/4 past hand tightening with a wrench. You only need to hand tighten. In my first install, I used a wrench and overtightened it causing it to leak until I added plumbers tape. This time I only hand tightened, no plumbers tape and everything was fine. You just need to tighten it as much as you can by hand. These hoses all have rubber gaskets that will create a seal. If you overtighten it, the seal won't work properly and you will get a leak. Plumbers never use a wrench on these kind of connections which I learned later. You can always tighten with a wrench if you see any part leaking after you install. In my case, that wasnt needed. For reference, I have left my original review. Note that I no longer have a problem with wiggle in that toilet either after fixing it.After more 2 years, the 1st bidet is still working great! I've had to remove the spray tip a few times to clean it (easy), but otherwise no maintenance needed and no leaking. I still think this is a great manual biddet and that the bad reviews are due to bad installation. I don't know what people are doing to break that lever, for example. Did they twist so hard it somehow broke? Now my only wish is that I had an outlet behind my toilet bowl so I can install an electronic bidet. Cold water bidet in a new York winter is brutal! Lol But way better than not having one at all.05/30/21 original review. I almost didn't buy this due to some of the reviews, but I'm glad I did. Replaced my tiny Dual Max Toto toilet seat (round) with this one. The hole is the same size length, a bit wider on the sides which is nice. I wish it was longer but I've already resigned myself to fate having gotten used to the tiny Toto seat. The seat stays up when needed and soft closes. It covers the entire back of my toilet so there are less places for dirt to show, and it comes off easily for cleaning.1. Pretty easy to install. I overthreaded the t valve and had a scare (it leaked immediately from the little water left on the bottom of the tank), but was fine when I loosened it a bit. Do not overtighten like I did! Lol. Got smarter and used plumber's tape on all connections and only tightened with channellock one quarter turn.2. The quality of the hardware and materials is superior. I don't understand the reviewers who said the washer was too small. It needs to be installed the long way. Of course if you align it on the long end with the hole it's not going to work. The picture in the instructions clearly show the proper way to install it. Don't worry about those reviews. It's simply improper installation. Actually, 99% of the bad reviews are due to improper installation.3. The lever looks great and fit into my tight alcove no problem. Using the lever is a breeze and I love that you can adjust the position of the jet.4. The water pressure is great and strong on full blast. I love that different size jets were included but they weren't needed in my case.5. The seat does move a bit from side to side (my older seat also did that though not as much) and has a tendency to slightly skew to one side after using the lever which is a bit annoying. It's probably an intentional design to allow some give for the quick detach feature but it is annoying and one reviewer mentioned putting a piece of plastic to hold it in place which I might try.6. Finally, I love the white hose. Nice touch, way nicer than my other hose connection and it really helps to hide it visually.Overall, a great bidet. Time will tell if it lasts. But I trust Kohler way more than anything else out there at this price range.

I have two bidet seats - one is electric heated, fully automated, and the other is the other extreme - the manual, cold water only Kohler PureWash. My favorite is the Purewash. The controls for the water nozzle are well implemented - giving good control over flow and direction. The unit itself feels premium - dampened lid, no flex on the seat, and again, the water controls are ergonomic and premium feeling. About cold water only - I live in New England and was anticipating this to be a problem, butt honestly, it's barely noticeable. That said, my wife prefers the heated experience, but that's not an option in one of our bathrooms.

Installation was easy, and the seat is removable for thorough cleanings. The hardware that comes with unit feels premium too.

    I have to say: recommended.

I am a bidet newbie. I had installed one of those cheaper attachments for my dad, and decided to try one here. Installed a cheaper one in the master, and our hineys approved. Fast forward, I replaced the toilet in our guest bath. Since it was in the guest bath, and I wanted to match the shiny new Kohler toilet, I decided to fork over a little extra for the Kohler bidet.

Easy install. Seriously, nothing to it. Just make sure your toilet isn't so close to the wall that you scrape your knuckles taking care of business. Bonus, this is easily the easiest toilet seat I have seen to remove for cleaning. Just a hidden button on the side, and voila! Of course it's still attached to the hose, but no biggie.

Appearance: It's a toilet seat. However, it does kind of look like your toilet has a kickstart, but I like it better than the ones with dials. The lid itself is a big bulkier in the back part due to the water path and the nozzle. Women won't even notice really, but men will see more of the mechanics while taking care of onesies. Simple, and fairly elegant when seat is closed.

Function: Back to motorcycle references, this thing works like a throttle. Twist the throttle to get your desired experience. Thrill seekers can go full throttle. Bonus points for being able rock that baby up and down to get better cleaning without having to slide your butt around on the toilet seat like a thrill ride trying to get good coverage. Just up and down takes care of business, and you will KNOW when you've hit the bullseye.

If you are thinking of one of those cheaper attachment units, this will take you from the Vespa to Harley of bidets.

I bought this for the toilet in my primary bathroom because I hated my toilet seat (it was the "easy to remove" kind but it was never easy) and also needed to replace my existing bidet attachment that had gotten moldy all of a sudden after 2.5 years (it was always kept clean idk what happened). I figured I could get a new toilet seat and a new bidet with this one item plus it's Kohler so can't go wrong. It fits my elongated toilet just fine, and so far it is working as intended.

As far as installation: I couldn't remove my existing t-valve so I kept it and luckily it was the same size connection.
You'll want to make sure the water line isn't twisted otherwise it will leak. I originally made the mistake of getting it twisted when I was attaching it and it kept leaking. I untwisted it and haven't had a problem with leaks since. Also the water line is different on each end, but the instructions show the same end in the pictures. Does it matter? I'm not sure.
I wasn't able to push in the plastic nuts very far at all, but with tightening the screws there hasn't been any movement (my old toilet seat moved all over the place). I imagine with a Kohler brand toilet (mine is not) those nuts would fit perfect.
I love that the seat has a little button to push and the seat slides out to clean. It's so simple! I have another toilet in the house with a bidet toilet seat with a similar button removal and seeing that this Kohler model had it was a selling point for me.
The seat is plastic which can be off-putting for some. I don't like that it creaks when I move the slightest bit and I'm a very small person. But it doesn't shift around at all which I've had plastic seats in the past that slid all over the place. The plastic does make it easy to clean though. The seat that this replaced was not plastic, but was a nightmare to clean because it had some weird coating on it that would get weird and any and all cleaning products would stain it.
I took one star off because using it is odd from other bidets I've used/owned and doesn't match the directions. The water doesn't spray your rear until you let go of the handle even though it is spraying.
I do think the Installation Instructions could have been written better. I write directions for a living, so giving all the information needed is best. Maybe do a quick install guide and a separate more detailed one. Under Tools and Materials they list a wrench, flat head screwdriver, and plastic wrap. At no point do they say what to use the plastic wrap for. (You just have to guess.) I did keep the plastic wrap on the seat that it was shipped in, so why not just say to keep it wrapped for checking the spray once installed.

I was looking add-on bidets but this one being integrated into the seat design made a lot more sense to me. I like that it comes with 3 different nozzles and the arm allows for adjustment of the spray angle while seated. The adapter is chrome plated metal not plastic. The soft close is nice too. I have this installed on a Toto elongated toilet. The fit isn't perfect but it is close enough and looks good in the closed position. The design is clean with nice styling.
