Noble Prince

Rate this book
The night Luke Rosen met Scarlett Marks was the only time he’s regretted becoming chief of police. One horrific night of blood and death, and now she’s living under his roof—all because he swore an oath to serve and protect.

Scarlett is stubborn and infuriating. She has no respect for the order in his structured life, and she never does anything she’s told. Worse, she doesn’t seem to care that the information she has on a motorcycle gang means she might end up dead. But her unwavering strength, her courage and tenacity and beauty, makes it impossible for him to abandon her.

If Luke is going to keep her safe, he’ll have to make the hardest decision of his life. He can either honor his values as a cop, knowing Scarlett is unlikely to survive . . . or he can break all the rules and protect the woman who’s invaded his home and his heart.

'NOBLE PRINCE' is the fourth book in Devney Perry's 'Tin Gypsy' series. It picks up where 'Stone Princess' left off. Spoken in 'dual perspectives.'

After the way the previous book left off this was one I was highly anticipating, this is a slow burn series, each book seems to get better and better, pulling me in more and more. The Tin Gypsy series quickly became one of my all time favourites by Devney.

'Noble Prince,' is by far my favourite one within this series! These two characters were perfect for each other! My heart is full to bursting. Each book gives us more puzzle pieces to slot into place, twists and turns with nail biting results. Suspenseful twisty goodness which kept me on my toes. I never wanted this ride to end..

More angst, more feels, club rivals out to cause havoc, murder and carnage, and amongst it all a romance flourished. This book ticked all my boxes!

As we read in the previous book Scarlett Marks life was in danger and the Arrowhead Warriors are not people you turn your back on, they may want her dead, which is why she's presently under police protection which puts her right under the nose of our police chef Luke Rosen. With a budget which doesn't cover witness protection safe houses Luke puts Scarlett up in his house.

This story unfolds perfectly, from the slow burn romance which ignites between them made for such a beautiful believable romance.

Admittedly I was probably in the minority when it came to this series, being that it was based around a disbanded biker gang I did expect more in that very first book 'Gypsy King', but I persevered and came back book by book, and I'm so glad I did. I completely understand why this author went the way she did with this series, she didn't need the big fire works of dark and grit which we associate with this genre, the way she has set up this storyline is brilliant, it's made it more unique within its own right, and it enforces why I trust in this author and the path she leads me down. Once I started this book I couldn't put it down.

Give me a forced proximity romance any day! I was surprised I loved this book so much since I really didn't know what to expect with Scarlett's character. She was definitely stubborn and didn't make the smartest of chooses that got her into trouble, but I loved Luke's character and how they slowly started falling for each other. Luke is a genuinely nice guy and I'm so happy he got his HEA. He was so sweet in how he anted to protect Scarlett. I loved that he worked for the law but he had to slowly learn to trust a disbanded MC and realize he wouldn't always be able to put the bad guy behind bars. There was so much action in this book and this really moved the plot of the whole series along. The romance was sweet and this is definitely one of my favorites of the series!

Devney Perry has once again delivered an action packed small town slow burn romance with all of the feels! I knew that this book was going to be worth it from the moment I saw Luke and Scarlett together and I was not disappointed.

NPcollage.jpg

Newly Police Chief Luke Rosen has had his work out for him for the past few months and things are about to get even more complicated when he takes on the role of protecting one of the most stubborn women he’s ever met. Keeping her safe won’t be the only thing he has to worry about. Falling for her will be.

Scarlett has made a few mistakes that she’s not proud of and unfortunately some of those mistakes, has led her into some serious danger. Under the protection of the Chief, Scarlett now has to figure out what her future will look like once the smoke clears and will her loved ones welcome her back. But with the constant threat of danger looming, how will Scarlett and Luke balance that with an impending romance on the rise?

jauuuu1_e8_orig.gif

I really enjoyed this story and I loved the fact that it was a slow burn which was necessary. Scarlett and Luke had a lot to deal with and they needed that time to not only get to know each other, but to build something that was going to last and be protected. This is the fourth book in the Tin Gypsy series and the stories just keeps getting better and better! The small town romance, lovable characters, action, and let’s not forget the page turning plot. If you haven’t started this series yet, I really don’t know what you’re waiting for.

“What do you want in life?”
“A dog for a best friend. To talk about life every day with someone I love. To get my wife pregnant on a rainy day and raise my children the way my parents raised me. To end each day with a smile.”

Sigh. Luke Rosen. I was looking forward to his book so much after reading Stone Princess. I'll be honest, I wasn't so sure about Scarlett and how I would feel about her as a heroine, but after being in her head more and learning more of her backstory, I adored her too. She was a great match for Luke.

Luke and Scarlett spend a lot of their story with her being in hiding and I loved watching them fall in love. The story didn't feel quite as fast paced as the others, but by the end things got interesting. After that last chapter or two... gah! I cannot wait for Leo's book! This is such a fantastic series and I've enjoyed every one.

I haven't completed a book in months, it's unfortunate that I chose this one to end that streak BUT on the positive side.... even though it took me days I managed to finish it so points just for that.

We have a classic damsel in distress/stalwart cop to the rescue scenario which unfortunately didnt quite work for me. I'm not a fan of my h keeping secrets that could be detrimental to their health. In this case Scarlett held on to her evidence, then Luke refused to trust the FBI agent....then when the plot finally unraveled that same evidence and that same FBI agent were needed to save their asses. Just didn't make sense to me

Anywho
Flat characters with little improvement as the book progressed
Boring plot where nothing happens except the passage if time
No chemistry between the mcs, to the point I *gasp* skipped the sexy times
Quick wrap up of the bad guys which made the entire lead up feel even more irrelevant. I mean I was on the edge of my seat waiting for drive bys and gun play from a badass MC.....yeah not quite

Eh in the end this wasn't what I hoped it'd be. 2* rounded up because it at least got me reading again 🤷

No cheating
H briefly dated the h's twin sister... I can't remember if anything happened between them as the occurred in the previous book if I'm remembering correctly. It wasn't a big deal but considering she and her sis had previously traded a man between them I really could've dine without it
Some violence
No OW/OM drama

This was so good, it was sweet, heavy and emotional.Luke and Scarlet they make me swoon. I loved their banter so much.It wasn't easy for them from the beginning but when they start spending time together , I adored them.Luke is so swoon worthy, I fall in love with him!He is protective and sweet he really cared for her.

“Hold on to me, beautiful.”
I gripped his triceps. “Like this?”
“No.” He shook his head and brushed a lock of hair off my forehead. Then he touched the corner of his eye. “Hold on to me.”
Luke didn’t need to worry. He had me transfixed.

Luke and Scarlett are perfect together. Best couple in the series.

Palpitating chemistry coupled with thumping drum of danger and dangerous twists at every turn make it a highspeed adrenaline rushof words.
This series has totally consumed me from book 1, every character occupies a special place in my heart. What an enthralling, edge of the seat thriller, it builds up in anticipation and pressure, there's danger at every corner adding to the momentum and adrenaline rush.
Devney unfolds yet another corner of the skilfully woven tapestry that is Tin Gypsies in Clifton Forge, Montana. There's lot of mystery in the entire series that unravels one thread at a time, one book for every couple.

description

The story is balanced on the moral dilemma of an upright cop, who has to choose between duty and love. A tug of war between his heart and brain is the central theme
"My insides were being torn in two, like a bullet ripping through my chest, shattering bone, splitting my heart right down the center."
Noble Prince- aka Luke Rosen, Chief of Police and the Damsel he gets to rescue - Scarlett Marks.
Events unfold at hurricane speed around them but Luke and Scarlett manage to find an eye of calm in its center and latch onto each other for unprecedented comfort they find when stuck in the house together.

description

“You didn’t rock the boat.”
“Why would I? We were sitting in a life raft in the middle of the ocean while a hurricane raged around us.”

Scarlett is stubborn to a fault. Her complexes crushing her confidence, overpaying her guilty conscience all the time. She gets taken aback by the love and support shown to her and it gives readers a rare glimpse in her vulnerable side. She thought she had nothing left, not even her own original dreams!!
"What do I want from life? I wanted to be the woman Luke got pregnant on a rainy day. I wanted to love the dog who’d be his best friend."

description

A victim of past mistakes, a slave to her poor choices, she's on a road to redeem herself and her family.. But cruelfate intervenes and things explode right in her face once again.
Devney has written a slick and edgy series and she teases with leftover characters sneak peeking in these books and my reader heart just wants them to be out soonest for me to devour.
I cannot wait for Leo and Emmett books next.

“What were you going to say?”
“It’s nothing.”
“Tell me.” He sighed
“You’ve ruined me.”
“Is that such a bad thing?”
“It’s the best thing.”

This series just keeps getting better and better, so it goes without saying that Noble Prince is our favourite so far in the Tin Gypsy series. In fact, we’d go so far as to say it’s probably our most favourite Devney Perry book to date, in part due to Police Chief Luke Rosen. Wow! This man swept us off your feet! Oh, good grief what a man! Rugged, masculine, protective, brave, sweet, caring and of course as handsome and gorgeous as hell with a swoon factor that had our hearts taking flight!

“I don’t want to lose you.”
“I don’t’ want to lose you either.”

There is a storyline thread that weaves through each book in this series and for that reason, we recommend reading in order. You’ll get a much better feel for the story together with the underlying suspense and drama that unfolds with the disbanded members of the Tin Gypsy MC. You’ll better understand their bitter run-ins with the very present Warriors MC, who are downright nasty pasties with a thirst for violence and revenge which leads its way to Clifton Forge, Montana and Scarlett Marks. Scarlett has secrets that could cause problems for the club, exactly what is she hiding?

In Noble Prince, Devney Perry has brewed a perfect blend of drama, slow-build romance, a shot of angst and some nail-biting suspense that got our hearts pumping. Along with some beautifully moving serene moments that made us melt, there was a swoon and romance factor that made our romantic hearts flutter. Luke Rosen delivered the romance and swoon and then some.

‘Luke was like a mirror. When I looked into his blue eyes, I was reflected there. I saw the way he saw me. It was a glorious image.’

We felt every part of this story. From Scarlett’s heartbreaking and horrifying past, her bravery and her guilt, her fear and her tenacity to Luke’s warring battle with himself between his badge and his heart. His need to love and protect always at the forefront of his decisions. We felt it. We felt it all!

‘Most people would look at Scarlett Marks and think she was broken. Maybe there were a few cracked and scraped pieces, but this woman was not broken. She was lost. Tired. Alone. But not broken.’

In hiding, and hoping to repair not only her relationship with her twin, Presley, from Stone Princess Book #3, Scarlett also wants to get her life on track after a series of life-altering decisions. In Luke’s strong arms, Scarlett felt protected, finding a sense of peace that had eluded her for so long, but could it last? Can Scarlett heal from her inexplicably painful past and learn to trust Luke and share her secrets? Could she ask for help?

The chemistry, the growth of the characters, the little twists and turns are thrown and the brotherhood that exists outside the club – the ever-expanding ‘family’ feel together with the beautiful smalltown Montana landscape Devney Perry delivers so vividly makes this series a winner. And THAT ending! Whilst Luke and Scarlett’s story is concluded in Noble Prince, the ending set up the next book, Fallen Jester, perfectly, and boy we can’t wait!!

Oh and on a side note: When Luke describes his dream for the future…seriously…swoon overload!

Also, let’s take a minute to laud over these striking covers! One their own they’re stunning but side by side they look even more so!

Genre Romantic Suspense

It’s no secret that Devney Perry is among my favorite authors. I’ve read every book she’s released right from the beginning and plan to read them for as long as she writes them. The main reason for this is because she consistently delivers unique romances with a myriad of emotions that allow her readers to fall into the story easily. Simply put, she’s a gifted writer, one I would be heartbroken to miss.

Noble Prince is the 4th book in the Tin Gypsy series. Much different than her small town, contemporary romances, these books pack the suspense while still giving off the small town, comforting feel. I love how these books follow a main mystery/theme throughout the series and how the pieces to the puzzle are slowly revealed through each one. For this reason, these books should be read in order.

Noble Prince is exactly what I expected. This is a slow burn read with a romance that once it ignites, sears the pages. I knew from the beginning that these two were made for each other and watching their story unfold despite the problems standing in their way was thrilling and beautiful. I won’t give away the plot, but I can say that it packs a punch, and you won’t want to miss it. I loved it to pieces and read it in nearly one sitting.

loved this book!! after a hostage / suicide situation, chief of police luke rosen ends up taking in scarlett marks to keep her safe from a dangerous motorcycle club looking for revenge. the fbi is also searching for her. she’s obviously hiding something, what could she possibly know?

this book was so sweet, scarlett grew up in an abusive home and only just escaped at the age of 27. luke never planned to take her in, and definitely didn’t plan on falling in love. but as he helps her gain her strength and confidence back all while keeping her safe, they can’t help their feelings.

this book had all the same characters we met in the first 3 books, but this time it’s the chief of police rather than one of the guys from the motorcycle club which i loved! luke is the ultimate good guy, so i loved seeing his character overlap with some of the men who have done some rather ~illegal~ things in the past. probably my 2nd fav in the series so far!

“I wasn’t just a cop, but a man falling in love who wasn’t ready to give Scarlett up.”

“We lived in a gray world and you’ve got to pick a shade closest to white. So do what your heart tells you.”

Noble Prince is the fourth book in the Tin Gypsy Series and it picks up right where Stone Princess left off. This is Scarlett and Luke’s story and it promises to deliver a story of strength, redemption, and an unforgettable romance.

When we first meet up with Scarlett, she finds herself in Luke’s protective custody. Scarlett is stubborn and doesn’t realize the severity of what’s at stake. But, if Luke is going to be able to keep her safe, he’ll have to bend the rules he’s sworn to protect. Will Luke be able to keep his honor and still keep Scarlett safe? There’s only one way to find out…

Noble Prince is a fantastic read from beginning to end. Scarlett’s story sucks you in from the very beginning and leaves no stone unturned. Scarlett’s life has been anything but easy. She’s endured hardships since she was a little girl and is much tougher than people give her credit for. She has a huge heart and while she doesn’t always make the smartest choices, she is one of the strongest women and will do whatever it takes to set the record straight.

And then we’ve got Luke, sweet swoon-worthy, Luke. He takes his work very seriously and likes to have order in his life. Having Scarlett in his life turned his world upside down in the best possible way. She invaded every part of his life and had him wanting things he never thought possible.

Together these two were a scorching inferno. Their chemistry was believable and off the charts. Scarlett and Luke were real and had their own faults, yet you couldn’t help but root their story.

Noble Prince is the fourth book in the Tin Gypsy Series and is a terrific addition to this series. The characters are real, and easy to connect with. Noble Prince is filled with mystery, suspense, and action that will keep you on your toes. And of course, we cant forget the romance. The romance will leave you swooning. Luke and Scarlett’s story promises to sweep you off your feet and leave you with a huge smile on your face. I enjoyed every moment of this story and look forward to seeing where this series is going to go next!

5 Luke and Scarlett Stars

Great romantic suspense. Lots of passion which slowly evolves in the most delicious slow burn. Can be read as a standalone because Devney Perry does a good job of explaining and bringing you up to speed with the secondary characters and the events that have brought us to this point. However, this is such a good series , I would strongly recommend reading it from the start.

Finishes with a really good lead into the next book, Fallen Jester, and also two absolutely gorgeous epilogues.

No cheating and beautiful HEA.

The next part of my review contains spoilers for the first three books so you may not want to read on....

I really enjoyed this fourth book in the Tin Gypsy Series which is about Clifton Forge's Chief of Police , Luke Rosen , and Scarlett Marks. Scarlett is the twin sister of Presley and the two of them have endured a truly hideously traumatic event.

Everything began with a murder , (Gypsy King) , and then a Hollywood movie about that murder , (Stone Princess).

Clifton Forge is attracting more than its fair share of sinister happenings and Scarlett seems to lurch from one bad situation to another. When she is in great danger , Luke swoops in and saves the day by keeping her hidden at his house. I liked the way their attraction wasn't instant. Luke is a solid guy. What you see is what you get - a handsome, loyal , lovely man who will do anything to keep his girl safe. It's very easy to fall for Chief Rosen and I think I swooned along with Scarlett.

There wasn’t a person on earth who’d protect me the way he would.

I have to say that I preferred Scarlett to Presley. Despite them being twins ,they are very different characters but they share a strong resilience and stubborn streak. In the previous book I was a bit wary that Presley (very) briefly dates Luke but they never go beyond kissing and it's more about two lonely people sharing dinner and chats than a passionate love affair. The chemistry between Luke and Scarlett is palpable and ultimately they just fit perfectly. Theirs is an epic love for the ages.

The story does have some violence and the themes of domestic abuse and suicide are addressed.
That's tempered with the crafting of a really beautiful love story. Also, Ms Perry uses such pretty words to describe scenes that I get completely swept up in them.

The heavens morphed from cobalt to midnight. The velvety black was dusted with diamonds as billions upon billions of stars shown down onto our paradise.

I listened to the audio book which had excellent narration by Ava Erickson and Teddy Hamilton.
Can't wait for Leo's story....

Luke is my favorite part about this book. He's such a good guy and I loved how he loved Scarlett. Whenever she would get down about herself, he always told her how brave she was. I liked this couple. I do wish that her's and Presley's mom was saved in this book. I'm hoping that still might happen later in the series.

2.5 stars

This book wasn’t deep enough and the romance was bland and it happened too fast. The characters weren’t that interesting either which sucks. I really enjoyed books 1 and 2 and thought this would be good too but unfortunately it’s not. The only reason I’m giving this a 2.5 stars is because I managed to read the whole book, normally I wouldn’t have been this patient. Do I want to read the next book about Leo? Not really because they too weren’t that interesting in the end for me to be at least hyped up about them.

Sadly, not my favorite on the series either. Noble Prince is rather flat and boring. I remember I was disappointed with Stone Princess too.

The idea of damsel in distress being saved by cop hero, got me interested. Luke is afterall a steady, loyal, and to be honest boring. Both Scarlett and Luke character do not develop well. I was expecting so much from Miss Perry.

Oh well, I think Miss Perry intended this series to be a mild NA romance. Not much twist/ plot.

Noble Prince by Devney Perry is the fourth installment in the Tin Gypsy series, picking up after the events of Stone Princess.

The Arrowhead Warriors have been a thorn in our fictional sides since Gypsy King and I have a feeling they're going to continue to cause anxiety until the end of this series. I just know it! Each book, every story is gritty, raw, and twisty with just a tiny bit of darkness. But with this particular book, the threads were quickly unraveling. I was on the edge of my seat at every turn!

Luke Rosen is everything you want in a hero. I FREAKING LOVE HIM!!! Strong, loyal, kind, fierce, protective, and beautiful inside and out. Luke is just perfect #swoon. As Clifton Forge's chief of police he gets caught between doing what's right and saving his woman. Now facing the most difficult decision in his life... Does he allow his integrity to lead his actions as a cop or does he break protocol, all in the name of love?

Scarlett is misguided and lost. When I first met her in Stone Princess I disliked her immensely... but I was wrong (as always lol). When you really get to know Scarlett, you'll realize how misunderstood she truly is. I have to say, she is one of Devney's best heroines. Strong, courageous, and resilient–a warrior through and through. Though she's been to hell and back, thanks to Luke's love and presence she's has not only thrived but she's learned to trust and love herself. And what a beautiful sight it was to behold!

Scarlett and Luke's relationship developed with time. It was forced proximity oozing with lots of sweet, sweet tension. I loved the moments they shared, especially Scarlett invading Luke's space and turning his world upside down for the better.

This series is the best, okay?! I feel like with each book Devney writes, this series gets better and better. The suspense, the intrigue, and the deepness of these characters is utterly astonishing and all-consuming. I have many feels right now and my thoughts are all over the place. If you have not began this series yet, please do!

All the stars! I loved the intensity, drama, and emotion, and the fantastic suspense element that was woven in. Scarlett and Luke were the best characters. Noble Prince was an exceptional addition to the Tin Gypsy series. I was hooked the entire time!

I loved Scarlett and Luke! Scarlett had such a transformation over the course of the story and I loved watching her grow, trust, and truly come into her own. She had a quiet strength and perseverance about her that I loved. Luke was such a sweetheart and I couldn’t get enough of him. He was so caring and protective, I loved all he did for Scarlett to keep her safe. This story was full of so many amazing moments between them. I loved them opening up sharing, it was emotional, raw, and real. There was an excellent build to those details and I was completely pulled in. I loved the timeline of their relationship and how it all developed. They had such an amazing connection. I could feel that attraction and pull between them. There were some super sweet, entertaining moments as well and I ate those up. I love how challenging Scarlett could be to Luke and some of the things she did that frustrated him (but in a good way). I loved it all!

All of the characters involved were amazing. I loved seeing previous couples in the series and getting updates on them. I also loved the connection and bond Scarlett and Presley had and the healing taking place. I loved the suspense element that was happening. It was thrilling and intense and I was on the edge of my seat as all the dots connected and everything played out. The ending was fantastic! I love what’s been set up for the next book in the series. I can’t wait!

Devney Perry has quickly become one of my favorite authors. Since the very first book, I've been hooked but somehow each one I read gets better and better and this story was no exception. I loved the details and the excitement, the wonderful characters, and the picturesque setting. This was well told with an excellent pace that have me holding my breath until the very end. Noble Prince was everything I could have wanted and it’s not to be missed!

Bodyguard Romance (kind of?)
Roommates to Lovers
Forced Proximity
Small Town Romance
Dual POV

This book follows the sister of the heroine from book 3. It picks up straight off from where book 3 ended so I would suggest you read that book first but it’s not necessary.

Again, similarly with book 3, I wasn’t a fan of the whole love triangle aspect involving her sister and I never enjoy books where the heroine has a bad relationship with her sister. They did forgive each other in the end but given that I just read about the relationship in book 3, it felt a bit repetitive in this book.

I loved the hero in this book and I was glad that we saw more of the other couples from the earlier books.

Worth all the stars!!! I can’t even find the words to describe how amazing this story was! Watching Luke and Scarlett move from indifference to a mass of steamy goodness and then into deep abiding love had my heart racing with each turn of the page!

I wasn’t sure what I’d think of Scarlett, but watching her character evolve as it did throughout this story was a beautiful thing. I don’t think I’ve ever admired a heroine for her strength and endurance as much as I did Scarlett. Ms. Perry created her in such a way that her growth was completely believable, and my heart was cheering her on each step of the way.

Luke was protective to the core, as his job is the very definition of protection. I loved his reactions to Scarlett’s “touching” his things. Even as he grumbled about it, he was falling in love with the girl who was coming out of her shell and I loved that he allowed her the space to do so.

This story surprised me with a bit of a twist when this plot demanded the hero make a decision that called his moral fiber into question. Watching it play out was one of the most angsty, heart wrenching moments I’ve read in a while. The fact I didn’t know which direction this was going to go kept me on the edge of my seat and had me destroying my manicure.

Overall, this was, dare I say it, my favorite of the series. And yes, I know, each new one ends up being my new favorite, but I can’t help that these characters claim my heart each and every time.

Scarlett is Presleys’ twin and new in town, more or less. After the events of ‘Stone Princess’ she’s now sort of in witness protection, because Luke, the Sheriff of Clifton Forge, fears an attack to retaliate for everything Jeremiah has done.

Let me be honest with you, I wasn’t a big fan of Scarlett. Even though everything turned out great for Presley in the end, learning that she was the reason Jeremiah stood her up at the altar was something I can’t stand for and never will. I think it’s being glossed over by the author, because it was for the best, but this kind of betrayal between sisters has to hurt and that no one ever really speaks about it, made me mad.

We learn a lot more about Scarlett’s and Presley’s past but we also learn much more about Luke. He was such a sweetheart, even before we met him in this book. And once he fell for Scarlett, I knew he would do anything to keep and protect her.

I’m sure after everything that happened in this book, the next two books will hold a lot of past trauma. I’m not super excited about Leo’s story, though. I love Leo as a character, but from the small glimpse we get, I know it won’t be my favorite trope.

Trigger warnings for discussion about domestic abuse in this book! I loved both of these characters and the resilience this group of characters have throughout the series as they pull through all the impossible situations that are putting them in danger. And once again the epilogue has me so excited for the next !!!!
